Antique hunting in Shamian, GZ
We were so skeptical if we goin inside or not on this antique shop inside Shamian Island.
But we did it anyways.
Antiques got no boundaries.
As long as it is old, it will have a value.
From jewelries such as yellow stone pendants, pearl earrings, figurines worth 480,00rmb, whew!
Paintings, teacups, authentic China ware plates, grand piano dated 1929. A lyric sheet older than me. They also have a jukebox. They even have a complete dining set. Big clocks are just eerie to me hahaha. After checking every collection, at the end of the day, we bought a vintage ring worth 1300rmb. Really pretty. ❤️
This is one for the book. 👍

Yum Cha in GZ 😋😋😋
They say, when you travel, Try to eat like a local. So we did. Best decision.
We head to YUM CHA! ❤️
The best Yum Cha place in Guangzhou is called YINCHIA BIDIAN Hongkong Style that you can find in No. 8 Zhongshan 5th Rd., Yuexiu District, Guangzhou.
Yum Cha is a Chinese dining experience that involves drinking tea and eating dimsum.
Yum Cha is Cantonese word that literally means "to drink tea".
Either you go for late breakfast (around 10am) or like afternoon tea time (3pm).
Serving tea (which believed to help you digest the food) and dimsum dishes.
Dimsum like phoenix claw (chicken feet), char siu Bao, spring rolls, hakao, siomai, spare ribs, and a lot more.
We ordered every single kind in the menu. Started the dine in at 10am, eat, talk, tea. We finished and got out in the restaurant around 12:30 noon.
Great food. Great ambiance. Great experience.
Must do.

Shamian Island, Guangzhou
We are first timers trippers in Guangzhou. We head straight to Shamian Island. A little solemn and chill out community in the city of Guangzhou with great European architecture and mixed with Chinese culture. Regardless of the large number of tourists roaming around and the busy streets, the island maintained their exclusive serenity.
The houses, shops and not-so-tall buildings around the island are obviously inspired by the Westerners. The roads on some part of the island are cobblestones. I think I've seen one of the coolest Starbucks too on this island. On one corner of it, near the river, you will see a huge number of locals performing wing-chun (that Kungfu taught by Master IP to Bruce Lee), some are doing tai-chi, and some are chorus singing. A lot of statues scattered around the park. Very Instagramable. Selfie-friendly.
There's tons of restaurants to choose from when you get hungry, but I strongly suggest go to Macau Restaurant for they serve really, really good food.
Give it a visit. I'm sure you'll like it.
