Name: Gubbio (Italian), Gubbio (Chinese) Location: Located in the Umbria region in central Italy, 40 kilometers northeast of Perugia. GUBBIO’s highlight: Birdcage Cable Car! A thrilling six-minute journey! Ding ding ding ding! This is the legendary "Gubbio Birdcage Cable Car" Funivia Colle Eletto, and I came here just for it! This cable car is called Funivia Colle Eletto and has a history of 58 years. The "Birdcage Cable Car", which was put into service in 1961, runs from the center of Gubbio at an altitude of 532 meters to the top of a hill at an altitude of 803 meters.
