Every snapshot you take is atmospheric and cinematic. One detail touched me deeply—after leaving for ten years and returning to Guilin, walking on the streets, the roads, buildings, greenery, and even some shops have remained unchanged. This time in Guilin, we stayed at the Guilin Shangri-La by the Li River. Guilin never lacks "river view rooms" or "mountain view rooms," as the city’s water system, comparable to Venice, and countless unnamed peaks are nothing unusual here. But the place that perfectly blends scenery, service, and local Zhuang ethnic culture and cuisine—I definitely recommend this one. Traveling in downtown Guilin no longer requires much planning. Just step out from the hotel garden where we stayed, and you’re at the Li River.
