I just finished my latest journey in #haarlem in #netherlands and let me tell you the following tips and tricks that you can use to save and enjoy the country at its fullest: Planning on watching the #tulipseason and all the flowers around all the fields? Plan ahead for April-May as they won last for the year Secondly, it is important to rent a car if you want to move around the country as even public transportation is greener, but could be even more expensive than renting a car. Also, something I like is that Netherlands is pushing forward an extremely increasing electric vehicles industry so most of the rental places, are already renting you hybrid cars which for example I just use it to move around around the country for three days and just spent $10 in a few, which is a great saving as well and if you book it from the main airport in Amsterdam, you might be able to have cheap prices starting from €15 per day of rent; Thirdly, if planning to do one of the “mainstream” experiences in Netherlands either you can refer to #coffeeshop or #Smartshop depending on what you’re looking for and always follow their safety tips you’re given if you have also any questions concerning the topic, you can feel free to send me a comment and I will be able to help you. And the fourth tip is that once you have a car, it will be way more cheaper to stay around and find local deals in other villages which will be more traditional, even more than staying in #amsterdam as it’s very touristy so in three days, I just drove all around the coastline I went to the beach l, which was way more local than I expected so I could be more grateful that I had a full experience in Netherlands, where I saw almost no tourists.

#familytrips2024 Do you know that in the Netherlands, the Flower Parade is the highlight of spring? The annual Flower Parade Bollenstreek is a big-scale 1 day parade where the participants and the Flower Parade floats travel around 42.5km from Noordwijk to Haarlem. The floats will arrive at night and will be on display the next day at Haarlem city centre till the next day's evening. The floats were very well-made from flowers, and they were all so pretty 😍. You can see all the floats up close and take pictures with your favorite floats. Do come earlier in the morning as there will be more people coming from other parts of the Netherlands in the late morning/afternoon, and you might not be able to enjoy as much.

#summervacay I totally embraced my spontaneous side in the Netherlands! The night before heading to Haarlem, it was already 8 PM, and I just decided, "Let's go to Haarlem!" Turns out, it's called "Little Amsterdam" and is supposedly even more Dutch than Amsterdam itself. What a great last-minute choice! Getting There & Getting Around: It was super easy to get there, just a 15-minute train ride from Amsterdam city center. Once I arrived, the whole city was perfectly set up for a chill citywalk. I loved just exploring on foot. My Must-See Highlights: Teylers Museum 🏛️ This place was fascinating! It's the oldest museum in the Netherlands, and I used my Museum Card for free entry (otherwise it's €16). They had everything from biological fossils and sparkly crystals to old scientific instruments and cool paintings. I even saw a bunch of Dutch kids on guided tours, which was pretty cute. The St. Bavo Church ⛪ I paid €4 to go inside (there's a souvenir shop too). From the outside, it didn't look like much, but the interior was truly grand and magnificent. It's rumored that Charles V was baptized here, and that ten-meter-tall pipe organ was seriously impressive. When the sunlight streamed through, hitting the rows of benches, it just created this incredibly peaceful and beautiful atmosphere. Haarlem was such a delightful mix of history, culture, and that charming Dutch vibe. #summervacay Nyhavn was like walking through a postcard but somehow still felt chill and nice. I really didn't do much, just wandering with my camera, snapping way too many pictures, and then finally finding a cozy place along the canal to just sit and have a warm drink. The colourful houses, the old ships and the happy feeling in a beautiful spot made it one of those places where you can slow down a little to just enjoy the moment. It is very touristy, in fact I heard someone say at one point they could actually feel their wallet getting lighter, but it doesn't have a phoney vibe to it.
