I visited a famous Banh Da Cua restaurant in Hai Phong. Since it was my first time visiting Hai Phong, I went in with a mix of anticipation and curiosity, but the result was extremely satisfying. The dishes I tried this time were: ✔ Nem cua bể (Fried Crab Spring Rolls) ✔ Miến trộn cua bể thập cẩm (Crab Stir-fried Vermicelli) ✔ Bánh mì cay Hải Phòng (Hai Phong Spicy Baguette) ✔ Bánh đa cua thập cẩm (Hai Phong's Signature Crab Noodle Soup) Overall, the seasoning is not strong and tends to be mild, but this actually creates an addictive taste that makes you want to keep eating. In particular, 👉 Nem cua bể features a crispy exterior and moist, juicy crab meat texture, 👉 Banh d'Acuo brings out the rich umami flavor of the seafood in the broth, 👉 Banh mi cay is characterized by its crispy texture and spicy sauce. If you add the accompanying lime and chili peppers, the flavors really come alive, allowing you to enjoy it in a completely different way. If you're expecting a tranquil, deserted island, this might initially deter you. Hiking Route: Short, But Not Easy The steps to the viewpoint aren't long, the distance is short, and the slope is steep, but because the same path is used for both directions, there are frequent stops and starts to allow people to pass, making the hike less tiring than expected. However, precisely because everyone shares the same goal, the entire route is quite simple—just keep going uphill until the view suddenly opens up. View from the Viewpoint: Worth the Sweat The moment you stand on the viewpoint, you'll immediately understand why Ti Top Island is a classic destination. This trip was unplanned. I woke up and booked the cruise at 8:30 AM. The cruise name is Amethyst Cruise. I booked it for 1,450,000 VND per person, including lunch. The trip started at 10:30 AM. The staff were lovely. Since I traveled alone, they helped take photos for me. The food on the cruise was also good. This trip included stops at 3 locations: 1. Sung Sot Cave: A 45-minute walk to explore the stalactites (there's a free photo spot and free keychain souvenirs). 2. Hang Luon: Bamboo boat ride, kayaking, or speedboat ride (additional 300,000 VND). 3. Ti Top Island: A hike to the top for a scenic view. The stairs are steep and narrow, and it was crowded. There's a beach for swimming for those who want to enjoy the sea. Spent 1 hour here before heading back to the cruise for snacks, tea, and enjoying the view on the way back to the pier.

🌊✨ Just had the most amazing day in Ha Long Bay on the 5⭐ Hercules Premium Cruise ; seriously, one for the books 🤩 🚐 Started early from Hanoi with a quick stop to learn how pearls are cultivated in the region 🐚✨. 🍴 Once we arrived, we hopped on board and had an incredible buffet lunch; everything was delicious 😋, specially the oysters 🦪 . 🏝️ First stop: Ti Top Island & Beach. Chill on the sand or climb up to the top of the hill for views that are absolutely insane 🤯. 🚣♂️ Next adventure: kayaking through the bay. Cruises generally include a stop to kayak, swim and do other water sports, and a stop on the islands to visit a village where you can cycle, have fish massages and try local delicacies. Cruises also have generous lunch buffets with local seafood. If you have time for a multi-day cruise, you can tour the islands and bay more thoroughly but a one day cruise is also more than enough to enjoy the stunning sights. We arrived in Haiphong and Halong Bay. Stopped for some local street food. Bánh đa cua (crab noodles) was incredibly flavorful and well-balanced. The desserts were also truly delicious. Dừa dầm (fresh milk tofu pudding). Bánh mỳ que (French bread, 3 baht each, filled with minced pork liver). It was a cute and filling treat. There were a lot of local shops along the road. And the cafes in Vietnam are amazing. Every shop has a beautiful design. We stopped at 1986 Cafe & Stay. The croissants were delicious and crispy. And the highlight was Halong Bay, a World Heritage Site. A city with sea and mountains. This city is incredibly photogenic. It's about a 50-minute drive from Haiphong. The photo spot is excellent. There's a lighthouse that doubles as a coffee shop. The entrance fee is only about 60 baht. You can see the entire Halong Bay. The cave consists of three chambers, and as you venture deeper, the space becomes increasingly expansive, making it hard to believe such a wonder is hidden within an island. First Chamber: The entrance area is relatively small but serene, with stalactites hanging like curtains. Second Chamber: The space widens, revealing various stalactite and stalagmite formations. Third Chamber: A vast and magnificent hall resembling an underground palace. If you find yourself staying in Hai Phong, Vietnam, there’s a historical site worth visiting that commemorates the heroic generals who achieved victory in battles along the Bach Dang River. The site is beautifully developed into a park with rivers, mountains, and walking trails, and the best part is that admission is free. The park is quite expansive, so it takes a considerable amount of time to explore fully. Although it’s located about 20 kilometers away from Hai Phong city center, making accessibility slightly less convenient, it’s still a place worth visiting. You can easily get there by motorbike or taxi, and it’s a great spot to take a break and enjoy some fresh air in the somewhat quiet city of Hai Phong.

Ha Long Bay · Surprise Cave left me in awe 🤩 Surprise Cave (Hang Sung Sot) is the most stunning limestone cave in Ha Long Bay. From the docking point, it's hard to imagine the vast scale of this limestone cavern. The cave spans an area of approximately 10,000 square meters, with two large chambers connected by narrow, winding stone paths that require you to bend down to pass through. Inside, you'll find a variety of stalactites, stalagmites, stone columns, stone curtains, and stone embankments. Considering that stalactites grow at a rate of just 6 centimeters every 1,000 years, the current scenery has taken countless ages to form.

I stumbled upon this place while searching online, and after visiting, it became my ultimate vacation destination. I stayed at the Flamingo Resort, a former 5-star hotel, for less than 200,000 KRW per night. The overall condition of the hotel was excellent, and the swimming pool view was absolutely stunning. To top it off, I even got a room upgrade, which made the trip even more enjoyable.

It takes more than 2 hours to go from Hanoi station to Hai Phong station The ticket price is super cute at 160k/round trip/person (if you are a student, the price will be cheaper) 🏢 The hotel we stayed at was Novatel. I rented a large room for 6 people for 900k/night. The room was beautiful, spacious and clean, the owners were also friendly. About 2 kilometers from Hai Phong station, so it's very convenient to go anywhere👍 Address: 35 Hoang The Thien, Ngo Quyen, HP 🛵 Regarding transportation. We put our trust in My Binh Motorbike Rental. The owner and his wife are very friendly and cute. They even asked to take pictures of us🥰 The rental place is right next to the train station, which is another plus. 🏝 Lan Ha Bay - Cat Ba 🏝 After 3 days in Ha Giang, I returned to Hanoi and then turned to Hai Phong to visit Cat Ba. The motorbike route from the center of HP city is easy to travel, the road is wide and open. I went at the beginning of the week, it was not the tourist season so there were no guests, no need to jostle during the epidemic. And luckily, the sun was shining on the beach that day so everything was ok. (The only thing is that there were no guests to share the boat with, so I had to rent the whole boat for 3 people 😅) Lan Ha Bay is truly breathtakingly beautiful. The sea water is blue, the same color as Nho Que River - Ha Giang and in Ninh Binh. I was pressed for time so I couldn't visit everything, I only went to part of it and I was already fascinated.
