However, if you like quietness(?) that suits Hanoks, I recommend Gaepyeong Hanok Village👏🏻 I hardly saw any cafes or restaurants👀 It's a small and quiet village🤫 I like quietness, so I liked Gaepyeong Hanok Village better🤎 The healing atmosphere while walking around the village! Since my visit, I've been highly recommending this place as a great aster flower spot. 8-10 Changpowon 📍21-1 Changpowon-gil, Namsang-myeon, Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do Geochang Changpowon, an ecological waterfront park, is a place where various flowers bloom throughout the year, and even in the fall! When I visited in 2020, cosmos were in bloom, but last year around this time, other flowers were in bloom, so I recommend checking the real-time information before you go. Even if you don't see the flowers, it's a great place for a quiet stroll and enjoying the natural scenery. Besides this, there's also Hamyang Sanglim Park, which is nearby but not in Geochang, making it a great place to visit together! Around the time when the aster flowers bloom on Gamaksan Mountain, Sanglim Park is also in full bloom with various flowers like cosmos and chrysanthemums, making it a great place to visit all at once! (If you're driving, this is a perfect day trip! Of course, I walked around Geochang and took a taxi to get there in one day... Taxis are the best.) #summervacay Took a chill day trip out to Yeongchusan in Hamyang, and it was such a peaceful little adventure. The trail isn’t super famous, which means barely any crowds, just birds, breeze, and your footsteps. Loved it. The hike starts off mellow through a forest that feels straight out of a fairytale. Super green, lots of shade, and totally quiet. As you go higher, it gets a bit steeper, but nothing too wild, just enough to get the heart going and make you feel like you earned your snack break. At the top, the views are surprisingly awesome. You get that wide-open look at all the surrounding hills, and the wind up there? So refreshing. I found a flat rock, stretched out, and just chilled with some kimbap and tea like a mountain bum. Honestly, Yeongchusan isn’t flashy, but that’s what makes it great. Perfect if you want nature without the stress. Peaceful, pretty, and totally underrated. Will definitely be back.

#summervacay If you’re ever near Jirisan and want something refreshing but not too hardcore, Chilseon Valley is the spot. I went there kind of just looking for a pretty walk, but it turned into this magical forest-waterfall adventure. The trail hugs the valley the whole way, so you get this constant soundtrack of rushing water. Super peaceful and kinda makes you forget about real life for a bit. There are little bridges, rocky paths, and secret spots to dip your feet in, perfect for a mid-hike chill. The waterfalls along the way? Beautiful. Not giant, but they’ve got that peaceful, tucked-away vibe. The air was super clean, and the mist from the water made everything feel cooler, even on a warm day. The trail isn’t crazy difficult, just a little up and down, but nothing too intense. I packed some kimbap, found a rock by the stream, and just zoned out for a while. Definitely one of my favorite chill nature escapes so far.

#summervacay Namdeogyusan is like Deogyusan’s chill cousin, less crowds, more peace, and seriously underrated. I didn’t really know what to expect, but wow, this hike had everything I love: forest paths, open ridgelines, and that calm, untouched feel that makes you forget about phone notifications and city noise. The trail starts off pretty gentle, with lots of tree cover and soft dirt underfoot, super easy on the knees. As you climb, the trees start thinning out and those open sky views hit hard. You get this sweeping panorama of endless mountain layers, and on a clear day? Pure magic. There’s this calm, still energy up top. No loud crowds, just wind and wide views. Perfect spot to munch on some kimbap and just vibe with nature. I even spotted a few wildflowers and little birds doing their thing. If you're into scenic, less-traveled trails with soul-soothing energy, Namdeogyusan is calling your name. Totally worth the trip. Quiet, beautiful, and kinda dreamy.
