Since I hadn't done any hiking as an adult, I opted for an extremely beginner-friendly mountain. Mount Hiwada, which reportedly takes just an hour to climb one way, lived up to its reputation. I reached the summit quickly and easily. However, there were some rugged sections along the trail, so light gear is definitely not recommended! Personally, I only had running shoes, and the muddy patches from the previous day's rain made me slip a little. 💦 That said, I saw families with young children, people hiking with their dogs, and even trail runners—all enjoying the mountain in their own way and at their own pace. To make the most of the experience, I downloaded the popular hiking app "Yamareco."
