Come to Japan and experience a different style! If you like this guide, save it now. More exciting things are waiting for you to discover!
I found a dreamy wonderland in Izu.
As soon as I stepped into this quiet place, my heart was completely conquered! Every brick and tile reveals a Japanese style, as if traveling through time and space, I came to ancient Kyoto. But the scenery here is more magnificent and romantic than Kyoto.
The design of the hotel is simply ingenious, and every window is a beautiful picture. Pulling the curtains, the blue and boundless sea is in sight, sparkling, and intertwined with the sky to form a moving picture. At that moment, I took a deep breath, as if the air was filled with the freshness and freedom of the sea.
Walking on the wooden corridor of the hotel, every step is quiet and peaceful. The soft sound of the waves in my ears, and the occasional cry of seagulls in the distance, all make me forget the troubles of the world, just want to immerse in this beauty, and never want to leave.
The night view of the water is even more flavorful, the lights are dim, and the stars are shining. Sitting on the terrace of the hotel, holding a cup of warm matcha, quietly watching the waves hitting the shore, my heart is full of unprecedented peace and satisfaction.
I really want to say that the view of the water is so beautiful that people are drunk and don't want to leave! If you also yearn for a trip to say goodbye, yearn for a baptism of the soul, then here, it is definitely your best choice!
Izu Ginsuiso | Facing the sea, colliding with dreams
| Facing the sea, colliding with dreams. Because of a photo of the sunset, I decisively booked Ginsuiso and was filled with anticipation for the trip to Izu.
We took the Izu Kyuko Line to Inatori Station (Figure 13) and then walked to the hotel. On one hand, we didn't have much luggage, and on the other, I like to walk around and explore unfamiliar environments. (If you have a lot of luggage or don't want to walk, you can take the shuttle bus provided by the hotel at the entrance of Inatori Station; if you can't find the shuttle bus, you can contact the hotel, and they will arrange a vehicle to pick you up, the latest by 7 PM).
Opening the door to the room felt like stepping into the world of Hayao Miyazaki (Figures 2-9): Japanese-style tones, tatami mats, and a full view of the sea, so beautiful it felt unreal! Sitting on the small sofa by the balcony (Figure 4), gazing at the Pacific Ocean, it felt as if the sands of time had stopped at that moment. In the evening, a staff member will come to make the bed (Figure 9).
The hotel offers 24-hour hot springs on the second floor (Figure 10). My friend and I changed into bathrobes and took a disposable bath package (including a toothbrush and disposable towel) to enjoy the hot springs. There are both indoor and outdoor hot springs, and it is recommended to go at dusk to enjoy the sunset while soaking.
The hotel provides different themed desserts, drinks, snacks, fruits, and alcoholic beverages 24 hours a day on the sixth floor (Figure 11). There is a row of seats facing the sea on the sixth floor, so if you want to enjoy both the food and the view, try to arrive early.
-
The buffet breakfast provided by the hotel is very rich (Figure 12). Sunshine, the sea, and delicious food start a day full of energy~!
Summer seaside train, the dreamy journey of the Izu Ocean View Train
✨Dear travelers, do you want to experience a seaside train like in a Hayao Miyazaki animation? Then join me on the Izu Ocean View Train, traveling along the Shizuoka coastline for a spontaneous summer romantic trip! 🚀🛤️
🌟**Train Highlights**:
The Izu Ocean View Train, also known as リゾート21 (Resort 21), is one of Japan's most famous scenic trains. Its main feature is the asymmetrical seating design: the side facing the sea has panoramic ocean view seats, making you feel as if you are embraced by the sea. 🌊👀
🎨**Car Design**:
The train has two types of cars: Kinmedai and Black Ship. The Kinmedai train is beautifully decorated both inside and out, especially the red and blue cars, which are perfect spots for photos. 📸🔥
🗺️**Route Planning**:
Starting from Atami, heading south, passing through places like Jogasaki Coast, Izu Kogen, and Katase-Shirata, and finally arriving at Shimoda Station. The scenery along the way is picturesque, with the sea and sky blending into one, and each stop has different surprises waiting for you. 🌅🏞️
⏰**Time Arrangement**:
Ocean view seats do not require reservations and are not charged extra, first come first served! It is recommended to start early to avoid peak times, so you have more chances to grab a good window seat. ⏰🏃♂️
🏨**Accommodation Recommendations**:
If you want to experience a long journey, there are good hotel options in places like Ito and Izu Kogen along the way. 🏨🔍
Remember to bring your camera to capture the beautiful moments along the way. The Izu Ocean View Train is waiting for you to experience an unforgettable seaside train journey! 📷🌟
Inatori Onsen Hamanoyu Hotel, the local hotel's ceiling
This open-air hot spring inn is simply stunning! 🏞 It's so close to attractions that it's irresistible, and the beautiful scenery, delicious food, and hot springs here will definitely make you unforgettable! 💗
🏨Hotel Name: Inatori Onsen Hamanoyu Hotel
📍Location: 1017 Inatori, Higashiizu-cho, Kamo-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture 413-0411
This hotel really offers a wide selection, with many room types, most of which come with an open-air hot spring or bathtub, and some even have a sea view. 🌊 The room decor is elegant and Japanese-style, making you feel as if you are in Japan.
🚶♀There are many attractions around the hotel, only a few steps away from Inatori Hot Springs and Cave Shrine, and Izu National Park and Inatori Cultural Park are just a short walk away. The transportation is very convenient.
🍴The hotel's dining experience is also excellent, with seafood feasts delivered to the room, and the luxury food is plentiful. If you have food allergies, you can inform them two days in advance to change the menu. ☕ There is also a café and a bar in the hotel, which are great choices if you want to have a drink.
The most surprising thing is that the entire top floor is a hot spring, with as many as 16 of them! The most recommended is the Ocean View Large Bathhouse, which has a stunning 270-degree panoramic view of the sea, and can definitely become the 'most beautiful scenery' in your life. Of course, the other hot springs also have their own characteristics, and all are enjoyed by men and women in separate time slots. Remember to check the time before you go in and enjoy~
So, if you want to experience the beauty of Izu, this open-air hot spring inn is definitely a choice you can't miss! Come here for an unforgettable journey!
Inatori Ginsui-so Seaside Hot Spring Hotel
If you are looking for a glittering sea, a historic hot spring, and a hotel with attentive service, then the highly praised Izu Inatori Ginsui-so, a long-established inn in Izu, is the perfect choice
🩷 I highly recommend this place for a one-night, two-meal experience in Izu. We stayed at the hotel for two nights, spent one day chilling at the hotel, and another day at Omuroyama and Jogasaki Coast
🩵 The room we booked was the most basic 11-mat Japanese-style room on Ctrip, but it also had a stunning sea view. Every evening when we went out for dinner, someone would come to make the bed, and it was very soft and comfortable to sleep in
🧡 The hotel's 6th floor offers food almost all day long, with fruits, nuts, and desserts in the afternoon, and free cocktails in the evening, all served in a room with a sea view, making it a delightful place to enjoy afternoon tea ☕️
💚 The hotel's breakfast is fantastic, with food made and grilled on the spot. When checking out, they even give you a small gift, a traffic safety amulet! Very thoughtful Izu Inatori Ginsui-so
Izu Inatori Ginshui Manor Hotel
Izu Inatori Ginshui Manor Hotel||| It took nearly 4 hours from Tokyo to Izu Inatori. Although I was confident about the hotel, I was still amazed when I opened the window of the room and saw the sea view and sunset.
Before leaving Tokyo, I used my full Japanese and English to communicate by phone. I learned that the hotel arranges a shuttle bus at Inatori Station from 1 pm to 5 pm. As expected, I saw hotel staff waiting with signs as soon as I arrived. Super relieved.
In China, people prefer new hotels over old ones, but in Japan, it's the opposite. The not-so-busy street scene, the nostalgic original wooden tatami and the original handmade key are the favorites of social phobia and nostalgic people.
I found a lot of guides about Izu on the Internet before, but it seems that I don't need them anymore. I decided to spend a day enjoying the nostalgic hotel and the quiet and appropriate small town around. There are no check-in points, no destinations, just pure emptiness and wasting time, what a beautiful luxury.
beautifull ocean view
the hotel lobby is so extravagant, amasing ocean view, and there is many activities you can do inside the hotel, like billiards, pingpong, karaoke, kids game center..
Two days and one night in Izu, looking at the water
Izu itinerary for two days and one night, one day at the hot spring inn♨ one day at the scenic spot
This article talks about the hot spring♨ looking at the water
Booked a normal sea view room (all rooms with a view of the water face the sea) on the blue🐬app one month in advance
With one dinner and one breakfast, 3906rmb/night
A confirmation email and precautions were sent a week in advance by the hotel
The free 50-minute private bath needs to be booked at the hotel
I replied to the email➕premium private bath, you can choose the room and time in advance
Premium 1.5 hours 💴13200 yen, the rooms are green and moon
The outdoor bath in the green room is larger, and the rest room in the moon room is larger
You can check the official website for details
I like green, the only available time in the email is after 17:30
It's already dark at this time in winter, so I had to choose
Transportation🚈
I set off from Yokohama and bought a train ticket to Atagawa online a week in advance
Chose the Saphir train, the seat is equivalent to a business seat, 6450 yen/person
You need to pick up the ticket at the station and enter the station by voting
After buying the ticket, I sent an email to the hotel in advance to inform them of the arrival time
There is a dining car🍜 on the Saphir, and it's a great experience to eat lunch by the sea
Arrived at Izu Atagawa Station at 15:02, and there were people waiting with signs
The shuttle bus arrived at the hotel in 5 minutes, and my heart melted when I saw the beautiful lobby
The person who checked in was a boy from Hong Kong, Chinese✅
Confirmed the time for dinner and breakfast, as well as the free 50-minute private bath time
Because the premium is at night, so I chose the 50-minute one in the morning
The hotel is on the east side, you can see the sunrise, I chose 7:00~7:50 boating
Then a waiter will take you into the room and explain the various facilities of the hotel
The waiter can speak English, although it's average, there's no problem with communication
There are free drinks and snacks in the lobby, there are many types, and they will be replaced
They will call you in advance for the private bath time🉑
You can go there in your Japanese robe👘
There are two bathrooms in the premium room, and they will send champagne and drinks
It's really dark at night, but it's comfortable to listen to the sea breeze, a great enjoyment for 1.5 hours
When I returned to the room, dinner was already prepared🍱🍲🍣
One dish at a time, the quality of the meal is not bad, and the quantity is large
After eating, someone will come to make the bed, the tatami has a thick mattress
Then go to the lobby for a glass of sparkling wine and go back to the room to sleep
☎I was reminded of the private bath at 6:45 in the morning, and I quickly brushed my teeth and rushed down
Actually, the free room is not small, it's enough, they provide water and black bean water
Soaking while watching the sunrise🌅, it's so beautiful, completely intoxicated
After soaking, breakfast was also prepared when I returned to the room
It's a big set again, and there's a local specialty, golden eye snapper
Check out at 10:00 on time, the shuttle bus is usually 15 minutes, and it takes you back to Atagawa Station
Agnes @ Atagawa Inn
Atagawa is a small place, even the station is small, and there are not many people. It's not a popular travel destination on the Izu Peninsula. But as a 'travel expert', how can I only visit popular scenic spots? 😀
Atagawa Inn is considered a very famous and large inn locally. It is said to be almost a hundred years old. Inform the inn of the number of people staying in advance by email, some precautions, etc. At that time, the inn mentioned that if you arrive early, there is a car to pick up at the station. But when we arrived, it was already past six o'clock, and we had to call the hotel front desk to ask if a car could be sent to pick us up. The person who answered the phone was an elderly man who said he couldn't speak English, and found a woman who could speak English to listen to the phone. Fortunately, it was finally settled, otherwise my mother and I would probably have to take a taxi with two large suitcases. When I arrived at the hotel, I found that the old lady who communicated with me was at least in her eighties, with white hair and a very good temperament.
The hotel room is very large, which is really rare in Japan. Apart from a bit of backache from sleeping in the tatami room, everything else is pretty good. The best thing about this hotel is the sea view room, where you can directly see the magnificent sunrise from the room, with an unbeatable view. Because the hotel was booked late, we didn't book a meal, you can try it if you have the chance. The overall experience is still very good, the hotel's public hot spring bath is also good, divided into indoor and outdoor, it is said that during the fireworks festival, this inn is a first-line view, you can directly watch the fireworks while soaking in the bath.
In general, apart from the slightly troublesome shuttle, everything else is highly praised! The shuttle and hotel can also be negotiated to solve! Great choice!
🌸Enjoy the changing seasons and come to Beichuan Hot Spring Hotel to explore the natural beauty!
Matsumoto Castle 🏯 is one of Japan's national treasures, with a history dating back to the early 16th century. From a distance, the castle looks like a blooming lotus flower, very beautiful. 🌸 Inside the castle, there are many exhibits showcasing samurai culture and the family life of past lords, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of Japan four hundred years ago.
Not only that, if you like hot springs, I highly recommend the Izu Kitagawa Onsen Hotel 🏨. It is built on a mountain and has excellent mountain views and saltwater hot springs. The soaking pools here are all outdoors, and there are beautiful lights at night, facing the stars directly, it's a beautiful sight. ✨
When you come to Japan, of course you have to try the cuisine! There is a traditional Japanese restaurant 🍱 called "Tononouen" in the center of Matsumoto city. The ingredients here are all fresh and local, and the taste is very good. It is recommended to order grilled mochi with green onion, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, melting in your mouth. 😋
Japan is truly a country full of surprises, where you can learn new cultures and experiences from every corner. Next time you visit Japan, make sure to plan your itinerary well and don't miss out on these beautiful attractions!
