I recently went on a 3-night, 4-day trip to Hakodate with a friend, and on the last day, we visited Roma as a nearby destination. However, when I searched for directions on blogs, they were quite confusing! I ended up going to Goryokaku Station and taking the train from there. Before leaving the accommodation, I purchased the Isaribi Haru ticket online for 1,100 yen. If you go to Hakodate Station instead, you’ll need to buy a separate ticket to Goryokaku, which costs more. So, I recommend starting from Goryokaku Station! The train was very small and adorable. When heading to Roma, I suggest sitting on the left side of the train to enjoy the ocean view!
