Just a 3-4 hour journey from Chengdu, you can make a day trip, leaving in the morning and returning in the evening. This is a great option if you’re visiting Chengdu during Christmas or New Year. You can follow this itinerary to enjoy the snow! ❄️ 🏔️ Wawu Mountain, or Wawu Shan, is rated as a 4A tourist destination and offers complete facilities such as cable cars, hiking trails, and food stalls. 🕔 Operating Hours: Open from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. 🚌 Transportation: Travel from Chengdu by bus. Book your tickets via Trip.com and head to the bus station at the scheduled time. Pickup Point: Chengdu Taipingyuan Metro Station, Exit A. The bus departs around 7:20 AM, but I recommend arriving by 7:00 AM. Once you reach the bus station, show them your ticket, and you’ll find the bus waiting for you. The bus will pick up passengers along the way until it’s full, then it will head out of Chengdu. During the journey, you can enjoy beautiful views, but the road has many curves. Once you reach the top, there’s a ticket booth where you can purchase cable car tickets for both directions. The cable car ride is long and thrilling, but the views are so breathtaking that you’ll forget your fear. Take the cable car to the highest station, crossing several mountains, and enjoy taking photos there. If you have time, you can stop at other stations on the way down. At the top, there are various activities such as hiking with scenic stairways, snow sledding, buying snacks, and plenty of photo spots. I stopped at 2-3 stations for photos before heading back. 💰 Cable Car Ticket Price: I don’t remember the exact price, but it’s around 1,500 THB per person for a round trip. This price includes unlimited stops at all stations. I bought the ticket at the mountain entrance. Return Trip: The driver will arrange a pickup point, which is near the cable car station. Make sure to remember your bus. The bus departs at 5:00 PM, but it’s better to arrive a bit earlier as it leaves on time. In the evening, the queue for the cable car can be long, so plan accordingly. Wawu Mountain Day Trip: Stunning Sea of Clouds and Lanxi Cliff Walkway 🌞 The weather was great today, so I booked a day trip on Trip.com for only CNY 68! 🚗 We met at Taipingyuan at 7:20 am and set off. We arrived at Wawu Mountain Visitor Center at around 10:40 am and started our adventure. 📌 Our route was as follows: ✨ Ticket Tips: We bought a round-trip ticket for 2 cable cars, which cost CNY 160 in total, including the Jinhua Bridge Cable Car and the Gufoping Cable Car. As soon as we entered the park, we took two cable cars directly to the highest point. From there, we hiked along the Wawu Xiantai Walkway. The walkway passes through a fir forest, and the scenery is beautiful, perfect for taking photos 📷. It took us more than an hour to reach Xiang'er Villa. 🏞️ After a short break at Xiang'er Villa, we continued on to the highlight of Wawu Mountain - the Lanxi Cliff Walkway. The scenery along this walkway is stunning, especially the Lanxi Waterfall, which is breathtaking! I highly recommend you come here 📸. Also, because the weather was so good today, we were lucky enough to see the spectacular sea of clouds 🌄! 📢 Ps: The walkway closes at 1 pm, so make sure you enter before 1 pm if you want to experience it! It took us about three hours to walk down the walkway. At around 3:30 pm, we arrived at the Gufosi Cable Car Mid-Station. I recommend you come down early because there is a queue for the cable car.
