Although some sections of the road may be narrow or winding, the overall road conditions are good. The wheels roll through the Great Northern Wilderness, and the scenery changes constantly. Every frame along the way is poetic and picturesque, captivating. Every step is worth slowing down to feel the vastness and depth of the northern land. The most beautiful scenery is always in the moment you roll down the window. Dongfanghong Forest Farm is located in the southeast of Baoqing County, 30 km from the county seat, on the northern slope of the Wanda Mountains. The dense forest shines like emeralds, and every leaf exudes the vitality of life and the charm of nature. The sunlight filters through the treetops, casting dappled shadows on the winding paths, adding a touch of mystery and tranquility to this fairyland. The forest farm is not only a natural masterpiece but also a historical witness to the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature. The older generation of forestry workers wrote countless touching stories on this land with their sweat and wisdom. Their hard work has left a valuable cultural heritage and spiritual wealth for today's Dongfanghong Forest Farm. [Must-visit] Hutou Fortress Museum of Japanese Aggression against China On the way to the museum, you will first see the words "End of World War II - Hutou Fortress", which instantly makes you feel solemn. The two floors above ground introduce the history. More than 70 years ago, this was a border military fortress secretly built by the Japanese army to attack the Soviet Union, and it was also a "devil's cave" that persecuted Chinese laborers. This fortress is known as the "Oriental Maginot Line". After visiting, you will enter the underground. This underground fortress is very large, with a length of several tens of kilometers. It has a kitchen, ammunition depot, generator room, dormitory, etc. But these fortresses were built with the bones of Chinese laborers! When we went, it was a hot summer day, but in the underground fortress, it was freezing cold! Cold, solid, cold, narrow, slippery ground underfoot, water droplets condensing on the walls, steel bars as thick as fingers overhead, making you just want to leave quickly. When Japan announced its unconditional surrender, the Japanese troops stationed here were still resisting stubbornly. With the cooperation of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, the Soviet army launched a fierce attack on the fortress. After 11 days, the Japanese army was completely annihilated, and World War II finally came to an end. Therefore, it is also known as the "End of World War II". After walking out of the Hutou Fortress ruins, there is a mountain behind, where you can see obvious trenches. From the back mountain, you will walk back to the museum entrance square.
