A unique Ming Dynasty Guangfu walled village, the ancient village looks like a 'QR code' from an aerial view. It is both a city and a fort, a typical village-type military fortress!

🔸Zheng Clan Ancestral Hall - 11:00
Originally built in the Song Dynasty, it was rebuilt during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and again during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. It is the 'ancestral hall' of the Zheng clan in Baisha, Humen Town.

Also known as Humen Day Street, it has nostalgic streets and popular food. 'Taiping Market' was once one of the three major markets in Dongguan, full of local delicacies and a great place to explore. You can have lunch here, recommended places include Uncle Octopus, Fat Aunt's Eatery, Aunt Chan's Snack Shop, and Farmhouse Beef Offal, etc.

Built to commemorate the revolutionary pioneer Zhu Zhixin, it includes the 'Former Site of Humen Hospital' and the 'Zhu Zhixin Memorial Monument', with a strong Republican era vibe!

The former residence of Guangdong's famous patriotic anti-Japanese general, who once served as the commander-in-chief of the 19th Route Army. The residence is a Republican-era style building, ideal for learning about Jiang Guangnai's life and taking Republican-era style photos!

The last gathering place for Humen fishermen, offering a variety of affordable seafood. We bought lobsters🦞, shrimp, and scallops for just over 300 yuan for four people, then took them to Huiji Seafood for processing. The whole set cost only 450 yuan, really cheap and delicious...

+ First, despite her limited English, the receptionist attended to me courteously. She took care of my needs and my one-day stay memo.
+Second, the hotel is conveniently located. There's a lot of very affordable eateries and restaurants. supermarkets, etc. within a walking distance.
+ Third, the rooms are neat and tidy as well as quiet.
+Fourth, it's very well prized given the location.
- No fridge
- No in-house breakfast
Those were not a big deal for me as I got a good value for money.
Will I stay at 8 Inn next time? Absolutely yes! Why? The smile and the charm of the night receptionist blew me away!
Bai Sha Village
Guangdong Dongguan Humen Bai Sha Village A square Guangfu Weicun ancient castle surrounded by water from the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. The ancient castle sits northeast and faces southwest, with a side length of 83 meters and an area of 6889 square meters. The ancient castle is square and surrounded by a moat. From a high altitude, it looks like a QR code.
Dongguan Tour - Humen Xinwan Boat Dock
Humen Xinwan is the most concentrated place for fishermen in Dongguan and the only provincial-level fishing port in Dongguan. Fishermen live by the water, farm the sea, and live by the shore. A small fishing boat is not only a production tool for the fishermen of Humen Xinwan, but also a place for fishermen to live at sea. There are mainly two states of life for the fishermen here: one is the fishing period, and the other is the off-fishing period.
