Dream Trip to Bhutan Made Perfect by Jugni Travel
Visiting Bhutan had always been a dream, and Jugni Travel turned it into a beautiful reality. This was my first women-only trip, and they made it safe, fun, and completely stress-free. The joy of traveling in a women-only group is truly unmatched!
Transportation was super comfortable — clean cars, punctual drivers, and an excellent guide who shared stories about each spot we visited. Accommodations were good too, particularly the lovely river-view room in Punakha. Waking up to the sight of the river was pure peace.
We covered all the major sights, like Buddha Point, Dochula Pass, and Punakha Dzong. The itinerary was perfect with no rushing around. Adventure activities were amazing as well — thrilling river rafting in Punakha and a lifetime experience hiking to Tiger’s Nest. Thanks to the tips provided beforehand, the hike felt manageable.
Whether it was a call, a message, or a late-night doubt, their help always came with the same warmth. From permits to every little detail, their expert guidance was spot on. Though the trip ended, the friendships made will stay forever.
Thank you, Jugni Travel, for these unforgettable memories! Looking forward to the next trip with you. 😊

Ultimate Himalayan escape itinerary
#itineraryplanning
If you are looking for the ultimate Himalayan escape, Bhutan—the "Land of the Thunder Dragon"—is a sanctuary where Gross National Happiness rules over GDP. Start in Thimphu to marvel at the massive golden Buddha Dordenma, then wind through the misty Dochula Pass to reach Punakha Dzong, a majestic fortress sitting at the confluence of two glacial rivers. The absolute crown jewel is the hike to Tiger’s Nest (Paro Taktsang), a monastery precariously perched on a sheer cliffside. Between the emerald valleys and vibrant prayer flags, don't miss a traditional hot stone bath to soak in the magic.

Dochula Pass: Himalayan Viewpoint in Bhutan
Dochula Pass, a significant mountain pass in Bhutan, is located along the route from Thimphu to Punakha, standing at an elevation of approximately 3,100 meters above sea level. It is renowned for its 108 stupas (Druk Wangyal Chortens) that are beautifully arranged amidst the mountains, offering a serene and sacred atmosphere.
On clear days, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the snow-covered Himalayan range. This spot is a popular stop for travelers to take photos, admire the scenery, and experience the crisp, cold air, especially during winter when mist gently envelops the area, creating a feeling of being above the clouds.

Cloud-Hopping at Dochula Pass, Views, Vibes & 108 Stupas
#summervacay Dochula Pass is one of those spots where you just wanna pull over, breathe in deep, and go, “Dang, this is unreal.” Sitting up at over 3,000 meters between Thimphu and Punakha, it’s got all the dreamy vibes, think misty mountains, chilly breeze, and clouds literally drifting past your face.
The main highlight? Those 108 chortens (stupas) stacked perfectly in a circle on a hill. They’re beautiful, peaceful, and just feel… sacred. And when the sky’s clear (which is a bit of a gamble, tbh), you get this killer panoramic view of the Himalayan snow peaks. Honestly, it’s the kind of view that makes you stop talking for a sec.
There’s a small café nearby too, grab a hot tea and just sit there soaking it all in. No need to rush. Whether it’s sunny or wrapped in fog, Dochula’s got its own quiet magic. It’s not just a pass, it’s a whole mood. Definitely worth the stop!

Dochula Pass – A Glimpse of the Himalayas
We passed through Dochula Pass both on the way from Thimphu to Punakha and again on the return — and each time, I hoped for that famous panoramic view of the Himalayas.
When the sky is clear, the view is truly breathtaking — snow-capped Himalayan peaks stretching across the horizon like a silent wall of white. But as with many mountain passes, it all depends on the weather. On one leg of the trip, it was unfortunately too hazy, and the mountains stayed hidden behind the clouds. Luckily, on the way back, the sky opened up just enough for us to catch a glimpse of those majestic peaks — and it was magical.
The pass itself is lined with 108 chortens (stupas), prayer flags fluttering in the wind, and crisp mountain air. Even without perfect visibility, it’s a peaceful stop full of quiet reverence.
Tip: If you’re passing through, have your camera ready — and a little patience. The mountains don’t always show themselves, but when they do, it’s unforgettable.
