Sydney Hot Air Balloon! You absolutely must go once! Highly recommended
Hot air ballooning in Hunter Valley, Sydney, Australia
I really urge you to go once
It's a rare life experience; if you don't go, your trip to Sydney is incomplete!
Buy the hot air balloon shuttle package at least two weeks in advance,
Make sure to distinguish the packages, and check if you can get a refund if the flight is canceled due to weather.
If you are a local student or worker,
It doesn't matter much.
But if you are an overseas tourist,
Do not buy a non-refundable package.
Buying tickets early is to avoid running out of tickets during peak season.
I would be heartbroken if it sells out, sob sob sob.
I recommend everyone stay in the very center of Sydney,
If you stay outside the Sydney city center, hotels might be cheaper,
But almost all day tours don’t offer pick-up and drop-off services there.
Considering transportation costs and wasted time,
It’s really not worth it.
Better to stay near Chinatown directly!
After buying the ticket, the Trip.com vendor contacted me directly to inform me of the follow-up arrangements.
Basically, just wait for the notification,
There’s nothing much to prepare.
Check the approximate temperature of Hunter Valley on your phone,
Then decide how thick your clothes should be.
The night before the flight, the Trip.com vendor will confirm the exact pick-up time with us,
And we need to register online.
The next day, just arrive a little early at the pick-up location and wait.
Our driver and guide were very professional,
The driving was smooth, and the seats were super comfortable. My family and I slept all the way.
When we arrived at Hunter Valley, just follow the instructions of the hot air balloon staff.
I have to say, during the balloon inflation stage,
Everyone was already super excited,
Clicking photos nonstop, cheering nonstop.
Once on the balloon, it was warm and cozy, even warmer than on the ground just now.
It was more stable than I imagined, with a solid feeling of being lifted.
My mom, who has mild acrophobia, said she felt no pressure at all.
When the hot air balloon flew in the sky, it felt like the entire sky
And all of Hunter Valley turned into a dreamy rainbow color🌈
The distant dawn looked like a spilled palette across the horizon,
The whole sky was dyed in layers of molten gold, orange-red, blush pink, and light purple,
Wrapping everything in the world in gentle warm sunlight.
Even my face looked like it was edged in gold, hahaha.
I was truly intoxicated by the beautiful scenery,
I wish I could keep that one hour forever.
After the flight, the hot air balloon staff arranged for everyone to take photos in front of the balloon,
Super funny, everyone excitedly raised their hands and cheered.
Although we got up very early, it was totally worth it.
I even think the hot air balloon was the most worthwhile part of the entire Sydney itinerary!
I must recommend it to all the darlings coming to Sydney!
Go for it all of you!!!!
