What to see: Humble Administrator's Garden → Suzhou Museum → Pingjiang Road. 💡 If I had to choose only one city around Shanghai, I would start with Suzhou. 📍 2. Hangzhou • Hangzhou 🚄 About 45-60 minutes. The main reason to visit here for a day is West Lake. The lake is huge, so don't try to walk around it all. It's better to pick one part and just stroll around. What to see: West Lake, Broken Bridge, Beishan Street. If you're up for a busy day, you can add Lingyin Temple. 📍 3. We enjoyed a photoshoot with 3 free pictures, received tokens for the claw machine, did some archery, and got a free portion of food to feed the giraffes. It also included welcome fruits and tasty treats. The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning; taking a stroll there is a pure delight. It’s a very family-friendly spot, with plenty of kid-friendly amenities provided in the cabins. You can get around the property by golf cart or on foot. Breakfast with the giraffes is an unforgettable experience. Pure magic!!! It's best to show up right when the restaurant opens, or all the window tables might be snatched up. · Quick tip: if you arrive a bit early for check-in, you can wander around and feed the giraffes before they are brought back inside between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM. Also, make sure to book a cabin with an indoor bathtub because there are a lot of mosquitoes in the evening (the hotel is surrounded by woods). Dining is available on-site at their restaurant, though the menu is a bit limited, so you might want to bring some extra snacks with you from Shanghai. At check-out, they gifted us a little plush giraffe, which was super sweet. I brought back such wonderful, warm memories from this trip. I highly recommend spending at least a night here. We visited Giraffe Manor in Huzhou, which is about an hour's high-speed train ride from Shanghai. Be careful at the arrival station, as there are several.
