Resort Café is a cake shop! Enjoy special French toast on your day off.
This café is located just a 5-minute walk from JR Motoyawata Station.
The first floor offers cakes and baked goods, while the second floor serves as an eat-in space where you can enjoy shaved ice and French toast.
The second-floor space is also available for rental, making it a great spot for stylish parties☺️
While cakes are only available for takeout, every single one is absolutely delicious🥹✨
This time, I tried the bacon and egg French toast with a drink set🥤. Since rain was forecasted, the price was a special ¥1,000.
The French toast was thoroughly soaked in egg batter, perfectly complemented by black maple syrup. The bacon and sunny-side-up egg were hearty and satisfying, making it a highly fulfilling dish🤤.
I've found another great way to spend a relaxing day off☺️
📍Location: 〒272-0023
Chiba Prefecture, Ichikawa City, Minami-Yawata 4-17-19, 1F
🕰️Business Hours: 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM (Closed on Tuesdays)
3 minutes walk from Minami-Gyotoku Station 🚶♀️
Even on weekends, there weren't many people around the station, but this cafe was full of customers.
There were men eating alone, two older men who happened to know each other and sat down next to each other and started talking, a group of moms, students, and people of all ages and genders gathered there, which was a rare sight for a cafe in the daytime 👀
And that's because it's a bar, and the older men probably came here for the drinks 🥃
I got a gift of some bonbon chocolate here and got hooked, so I had a friend bring me here 🎶
The bonbon chocolates were pretty low by the time we arrived!
I ordered the chocolate parfait I had been longing for and a chocolate bonbon called Ananas Coco♡
"Ananas Coco" is a fruity milk chocolate based on pineapple and coconut with a hint of lime🍍🥥
The chocolate reminded me of Malibu pineapple💭
The chocolate parfait had the sweet and sour taste of strawberries added to it, and it was refreshing without being heavy🍓
The whipped cream on top was apparently a combination of white chocolate and tequila, but there was no unpleasant alcoholic taste, and even I, who don't like alcohol very much, was able to eat it♡
This bar seems to be selling tequila, so if you like alcohol, be sure to try the tequila!

[Gyotoku, Chiba] Nagichan Ramen: A chan-style ramen that can be enjoyed from morning until late at night in front of the station
Nagichan Ramen is a ramen shop located in front of Gyotoku Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line.
It's a so-called chan-style ramen shop, but it's open 24 hours a day most of the week, so you can use it from morning until late at night.
As you'd expect from chan-style ramen, it uses flat Daruma Seimen noodles, the clear soup is a light soy sauce soup, the pork slices are cut thinly and have a soft texture, and the bamboo shoots are very thin, making it an orthodox Chinese noodle dish that you'll never get tired of.
The noodles are generally a little on the soft side, so we recommend ordering them firmer depending on your preference.
You can also get rice for free, so it's a great value for money shop.

The observation deck overlooking the night view from the 45th floor is free!
I visited the 'I-Link Town Observation Facility' directly connected to JR Sobu Line Ichikawa Station. This hidden gem in Ichikawa City is free for everyone to enter. From the station's south exit, follow the signs and take the elevator straight to the 45th floor. The top floor features an open-air observation facility with safety nets, making it safe even for small children. You can see the Tokyo Skytree and Mount Tsukuba clearly, and on clear days, you can also view Tokyo Tower and Mount Fuji simultaneously. There is also a café space called 'I-Link Information Corner' where you can enjoy coffee while overlooking Ichikawa City. On cold days, there is an indoor space where you can view the Skytree side without going up to the observation deck. It's a great place for various occasions, such as a date night, a family or friends' outing, or a solo relaxation time. With excellent access, it's a must-visit for Chiba residents. [Breathtaking view] A seasonal sight on a summer night! Ichikawa Lantern Floating Festival🏮🍧👘
#0 yen trip
Mama River Lantern Floating held in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture
There is no custom of lantern floating in my hometown, so I was very happy to see it live! It was really beautiful...! 🌟 What is lantern floating?┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ A traditional Japanese custom of floating lanterns in the sea or river to mourn the dead and ancestors. 𓂃 𓈒𓏸𓂃 𓈒𓏸𓂃 𓈒𓏸𓂃 𓈒𓏸𓂃 𓈒𓏸𓂃 𓈒𓏸🏮 About Mama River Lantern Floating 🏮▶︎▶︎ Event summary It is held every year around the end of July! Prayers at 7pm? The event started, and then the lantern floating began 😌 It was possible to float a lantern down the river for 1,000 yen, but I gave up because I was told that I couldn't float it down the river myself 😭
▶▶︎The atmosphere of Ichikawa Hozuki Market and the lantern floating had a strong local festival feel...! There were a lot of children and it was lively 🙌 At Tejina Reishindo, which is close to the Mama River, there were food stalls and other things, so you could get into the festival mood 🥰 There were no chairs or tables, and the dust was pretty intense, so if you want to eat food, you must secure a spot in advance...! People start lining up about 30 minutes before the lantern floating, so if you want to get a good spot, act early ◎

[Chiba] 🐒 Be moved by the popular Punch-kun! A heartwarming experience of being close to animals.
I went to Ichikawa City Zoological and Botanical Garden! This is a very warm and inviting place where the individuality of the animals shines through.
【Highlights of this visit】🐒
· Punch the Japanese macaque: I was able to see Punch, the baby monkey who became a global sensation on social media. His endearing presence next to his stuffed animal warmed my heart. I went after the New Year, so the restrictions may be stricter now. Apparently, he's been showing signs of becoming more independent lately, and it was a wonderful monkey enclosure that made me want to cheer him on as he grows.
· Otters sliding down pipes: The otters sliding down smoothly through the pipes are a must-see! They pass right in front of you, allowing you to enjoy their cuteness up close.
· Red pandas: There are many of them, and I was able to observe their movements and adorable expressions while they were eating.
【Recommended points】🌸🌿
The park is lush with greenery and has a miniature railway, making it perfect for a relaxing visit. Each animal has its own story, and the handcrafted exhibits, which convey the zookeepers' love, were truly charming. If you want to meet the famous Punch-kun, don't forget to bring your camera!

Suiryu
📍Ichikawa-Ono / Chiba
@cyukasoba_suiryu
I visited "Suiryu," located just a short walk from Ichikawa-Ono Station.
The interior is clean and has a relaxing atmosphere, which is great because you can take your time and truly savor your bowl of ramen.
This time, I went with the Soy Sauce Chuka Soba.
Taking the first sip of the soup, I was struck by its perfect balance—the umami is highly concentrated, yet the aftertaste is so clean and refreshing that it makes you want to drink every last drop. The noodles pair exquisitely with the broth. The chashu topping, cooked at a low temperature, offers a delightfully moist texture, showing a deep dedication to every single ingredient.
Overall, it's a flawlessly refined bowl with zero off-flavors. If you're looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy high-quality ramen in the Ichikawa-Ono area, this place is a must-visit.
They also had a Chashu Rice Bowl, so I couldn't resist ordering it.
With a mouthwatering look and seasoning that absolutely everyone would love, I just couldn't put my chopsticks down.

You can meet the popular Punch-kun! 👊 Ichikawa City Zoological and Botanical Garden was incredibly relaxing.
I recently visited Ichikawa City Zoological and Botanical Garden in Chiba Prefecture. It's a popular spot where you can interact with various animals in a calm, natural setting.
The zoo is particularly famous for its Japanese macaque, nicknamed "Punch-kun." His energetic movements and occasional unique behaviors are incredibly cute, and just watching him was incredibly relaxing. It's easy to see why he's become so popular on social media.
Furthermore, the zoo boasts a variety of animals, including adorable red pandas, offering plenty to see. The close proximity to the animals and the relaxed atmosphere make it a great place to observe and take photos at your own pace.
The zoo is compact and easy to navigate, and with features like a petting zoo area, it's enjoyable for both children and adults. It's easily accessible from central Tokyo, making it a highly recommended and relaxing spot.

The Gift of an Unplanned Day.
There are moments when a day with a completely blank itinerary is the most anticipated part of a trip. Waking up without the pressure of having to be somewhere, it's a day where your mood dictates your destination. A little bakery stumbled upon in a random alleyway, a park that isn't on the map, and unexpected sights. Ironically, having no plans creates so many more stories. The more perfectly you prep for a trip, the safer it is; but the more room you leave open, the richer the experience becomes. Within that blank canvas, we encounter serendipity, and those chance encounters ultimately become the most enduring memories of the journey. That's why I intend to deliberately leave at least one day completely open on my next trip, looking forward to seeing what kind of memories will fill that day.

Even after leaving, the journey continues: Winter in Hokkaido
The serene snowy fields and the Blue Pond of Biei, the warm streets and sparkling lights of Sapporo, and the emotional landscapes along the Otaru Canal. A journey in Hokkaido doesn't end in the moment. The air, the temperature, and the quietly accumulated emotions experienced there naturally resurface over time, continuing the journey. That's why this place is not just a destination to visit once, but a location that lingers in the heart for a long time. Winter in Hokkaido, in this way, continues the journey in your memories even after it ends.
