#ipohtrip We had a wonderful two-night stay at Sojourn Guest House and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the hotel’s signature aromatherapy scent created a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The calming aromatherapy smell throughout the hotel was a standout feature. It set the tone for a truly relaxing stay. The bed was super soft and cozy, and even my baby absolutely loved it! It made for a great night’s sleep. Sojourn Guest House is perfect for a peaceful staycation or a short getaway. Everything from the serene atmosphere to the attentive service exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely return for another stay! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing experience in Ipoh.

#eatlikealocal We have decided to drop by Ipoh en route to Cameron Highlands to have a breakfast, and we found this nice little kopitiam called Dong Tai Kopitiam serving authentic Coffee and traditional breakfasts. Serving customers for more than 60 uears this shop doea not gain its fame by conincidence. The coffee is really fragrant and smooth, so far so you did not need additional sugar or sweetener. We ordered the kaya toast and the pork lard Wanton noodle and they tasted heavenly. The fragrance of the lard adds more flavour on the springy noodles. The Kaya toast is also excellently made, and the kaya is full of coconut aroma. We will dedinitely stop by again if we past by Ipoh.

#heritageplace This time i visited unique place in Ipoh named Lin Sen Tong Temple. Ling Sen Tong is a beautiful Taoist cave temple located at the foot of a limestone hill in Ipoh, Perak. The name is literally translated as the Rock of Heavenly Spirit. Ling Sen Tong is one of three temple complexes located in the vicinity of Gunung Rapat, all of which occupy limestone caves. While perhaps not as well-known as its nearby counterpart Sam Poh Tong, this place of worship on the outskirts of Ipoh is popular in its own right. The first time you hear about Ipoh, it might be because of Michelle Yeoh. Getting to know Ipoh again might be because of 'Anna and the King.' This time, I finally came to this mountain city in Malaysia. Although it is not large, it has a very comfortable atmosphere, tranquil and serene. Transportation: There are direct buses from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh, about a 3-hour drive. The travel time from Ipoh to Penang is about 2 hours by car. Finally arriving in Ipoh, I feel the charm of this mountain city. It is the fourth largest city in Malaysia, but it still has a tranquil feeling. Must-visit spots: Ipoh Railway Station: Known as the 'Taj Mahal of Malaysia,' this railway station is a European-style building with white exterior walls. The historical architecture is part of Ipoh's memory. The Ipoh City Council building across the street is also worth a visit. Concubine Lane and Second Concubine Lane: The Chinese community in Ipoh used to live here, and now it has become a very artistic neighborhood. You can find many murals here, from white coffee to paper airplanes, which have now become symbols of Ipoh. There are many traditional snacks here, from egg tarts to pastries, and traditional tofu pudding, all of which are must-try delicacies. Ipoh Cuisine: The most famous is Bean Sprout Chicken, Bean Sprout Chicken is somewhat similar to Hainanese chicken rice, with tender chicken and locally grown bean sprouts that are plump, crisp, and juicy. You can also have a bowl of chicken soup rice noodles, with soft and smooth rice noodles absorbing the sweet chicken soup, very delicious. (This time I ate at Wong Kee, a very famous local restaurant, and it did not disappoint.) White Coffee: Ipoh's most famous delicacy, white coffee is made in a way that it has no bitter or astringent taste, very fragrant and smooth. tips: 1. Transportation in Ipoh city mainly relies on taxis. 2. This visit to Ipoh was quite rushed; there are other attractions that I didn't have time to visit. Emily steakhouse is located at Kinta riverfront hotel, it’s famous for the steaks cooked in British style. The theme of this place is very vintage and feels like the old bridging steakhouse, but at the same time it’s also very warm and homey. I would say this is the best place for birthday celebration, they will help to hang the happy birthday banner on the table. We ordered 2 steaks here and one is medium rare and medium. The staff are kind enough to ask us to check the steak because leaving us, some part of the steak was quite raw and he kindly helps to grill abit longer. The best dish here is the lamb rack, so nicely done and the mint sauce goes so well with the lamb, we loved this dish! The English fish and chips was nice as well, they used barramundi fish instead of Dory fish, the batter was nice and crispy, fish was fresh as well. We had a birthday celebration here and the staffs are so nice and attentive, they played birthday song for us even without us asking, this is definitely a bonus point. It’s a very instagrammer place as well if you love taking photo. Overall I think it’s a perfect place for family gathering :)

Spring onion and soy sauce are the perfect condiments. Baby octopus and moon light hor fun are must try when you are in Tuck Kee. Food served real quick after the order was made. Good food at an affordable price in Ipoh. The waiters are very attentive and helpful as well. Highly recommended!

#malaysiatrip Good atmosphere and nice sightseeing. Need to pay to walk to miners tunnel and see mirror lake. But yes it's a small ticket fee. There's a coffee place nearby where the coffee is good. WiFi is provided thankfully cause signal is quite bad Ticket price MYR10 is a bit high for foreigners, considering only one lake can be visited for that. Ticket for Malaysian MYR4 someone feels reasonable. The infrastructures are still under construction, probably will get better after they are finished.
