Taltsy Museum of Wooden Architecture.
Taltsy Museum of Wooden Architecture Taltsy Museum
Located on the west bank of Lake Baikal in the suburbs of Irkutsk, it is situated in a clearing in the forest and is open-air. It is a highly valuable heritage of Russian national culture. It was established in 1969. It covers an area of 67 hectares and is located in a nature reserve.
Almost all the buildings here are made of original wood, which is simple and mellow. Walking along the buildings, you will find that you have come to the bank of the Angara River, which is undulating and exceptionally beautiful. The view is suddenly wide. Take a walk here, meditate, and enjoy the tranquility.
Listvyanka, seals, and the Taltsy wooden hut village
Listvyanka was originally a stagecoach station and has now developed into a small town. The main composition of Listvyanka is the residential areas in 5 valleys—connected by a 'Gorky Avenue' along the lake. There are many guesthouses and hotels in the town, and you can eat the Baikal lake specialty Omul fish in the fish market by the lake. The largest residential area in the town has a dog sledding base at the very end, where we last got an adrenaline rush.
It takes just over an hour to get from Irkutsk to Listvyanka. The road to the lake winds through the coniferous forests of Siberia, with some sections having steep gradients, resembling a ribbon spread out, with beautiful scenery. Halfway there is the Taltsy wooden hut village, which is a collection of wooden ancient buildings relocated during the construction of the Irkutsk Reservoir. Each wooden hut is a small museum, and there are even wooden castles and small churches built in the 17th century, very characteristic of Siberia. The ticket price is only 150 rubles per person, with an additional 50 rubles for parking, which is very cheap.
Another place worth visiting is the Baikal Lake Museum, where you can see the legendary Baikal seals. The museum is located at the confluence of the Angara River and Lake Baikal, very close to Listvyanka. It displays many scientific research achievements of Lake Baikal, and the most attractive are the round and cute Baikal seals, which are rare seals that live in a freshwater lake (it is said that the bottom of Lake Baikal is connected to the ocean). They look very cute, but swim gracefully and agilely.

A journey, endless scenery, endless stories. This is a journey into the heart lake, it can refresh your understanding of the world, touch your shock baseline. Waiting for you, at Lake Baikal in Russia.🎈
Everyone has a forest of their own, maybe we have never been there, but it is always there, always there.
Lost people are lost, and the meeters will meet again.
Open the map. At the intersection of Lake Baikal and the Angara River, there is a gem inlaid there, it is Listvyanka.
This is the closest place to Lake Baikal and the gateway to Lake Baikal.
Compared from the town of Huger, it gives people a warmer and more intimate feeling. Even the stray dogs on the street are no longer fierce, but gentle and lovely.
Looking forward, a beautiful world of pure white, colorful cabins scattered on the hillside, dotted with the entire town of Listvyanka.
Vol.2 The Film "Film Road Shadow. Listvyanka"
You can't imagine the vastness of Lake Baikal. Lake Baikal, more than 30,000 square kilometers, can stand up to any grand words. It is so clear that it can see the waters of tens of meters underwater, as well as endless aquatic products and endless forests by the lake.
Even the small town of Listvyanka on the lakeside looks so small.
Listvyanka consists of five residential areas in the valley, and a road along the lake, Gorky Avenue, connects them in series. Most of the buildings in the town are wooden houses built with Siberian logs. They are warm and stand on the terrace of the room, and you can see other wooden houses covered with snow-covered roofs and the blue Baikal in the distance.
The fish market on the lakeside is the most lively place in the town. The taste of the mutton pilaf, kebab and the grilled Omley fish...not refined, but good and cheap . As night falls, the starry sky of Siberia makes people forget the cold night winds of Lake Baikal. The stars in the sky are like the broken diamonds on the velvet curtains. On the ground, there seems to be one trillion white birch. The sentinel stood quietly under the shining stars.
It is a place that represents Russia's autumn, the yellow leaves of the mountains, and the buildings of the Russian town. The local accommodation is usually a wooden house, which is snowy outside and the wooden house is warm and spring. The town is on the shore of Lake Baikal, sitting on the edge of the lake, listening to the song of the autumn pants male god, although the cold wind is a bit bitter, but still feel romantic. Of course, the best thing is that there is a hiking path around Lake Baikal. It is a small road built by many European and American hikers. There are not many people who know it. The experience of a mountain king is experienced. I like the leisure of this town.
For a person who has lived in the South since childhood, it is estimated that winter snow is the most desired! The first snow in life comes from Russia. The meaning of Russia is also quite different, and the first snow is super big, it is estimated that it is also the reason for being ignored. Fortunately, it has seen the snow like goose feathers. Although the small town of Listvyanka is not big, it is really beautiful, and it has a sense of Finland. Because the town is not the focus of my plan, but if the time is sufficient, friends must stay 2-3. Heaven is the life I yearn for.
