About 10km northeast from the Tottori Sand Dunes along the bay coastline, Uradome Coast in Iwami Town, located at the northeastern tip of Tottori Prefecture, is a ria coast stretching about 15km from east to west, and with its complex topography, small islands of all sizes, and marine blue sea, it is one of Tottori's most scenic spots, like a painting reminiscent of Matsushima. I was honestly surprised at how beautiful the sea on the Japan Sea side of Tottori was! The clear tropical marine blue is comparable to the ocean of the tropics. The sunset over the ocean seen from Tottori Sand Dunes was magnificently beautiful, as if the sky, sand, and sea were one. With only the sound of the waves echoing against the sky that changed color from moment to moment, it felt like time was passing slowly. The crimson horizon and the silhouette of the vast sand dunes cannot be fully conveyed in a photograph; I was so moved that I simply stood there, captivated by the sight. It was a special moment where I could simultaneously feel the tranquility and power of nature.
