Fuji Cute photo spots and the evening sky on the beach It's so beautiful that it looks like it came out of an anime Seeing it makes me feel so happy 01: Komachi Dori Street From the first station, Fujisawa, we got off at the last station, Kamakura Walk a little further and you'll see a prominent red torii gate welcoming us in front And this is 'Komachi Dori Street', a street for foodies, travelers and shoppers There are Japanese food, snacks, souvenirs, cafes and more Prepare your stomach for a foodie trip! 02: Kotokuin Temple Worship the Great Buddha of Daibutsu, another important check-in point in Kamakura The second tallest in Japan, admission fee is 200 yen per person The inside is quite shady There are many tourists. Those who come in April will see cherry blossoms around the temple area. It should be very beautiful. 03: KANNON COFFEE kamakura When you get here, you must stop by this shop. Fruit crepes with cookies in the shape of the Buddha. I'll whisper that they're only sold in Kamakura. There are quite a few seats in the shop. Most of them are takeaways. They're delicious. They're also a check-in prop. You have to try them! 04: Kamakurakōkō-Mae Station This corner is a highlight corner that anyone who comes to Kamakura must stop by to take a photo and check in. Those who have watched the very famous anime Slam Dunk should be especially impressed because this is one of the most famous scenes. The classic train runs through the sea in the background, plus the beautiful sky. Looking at it makes you feel like you've been transported to the anime world. 05: Shichirigahama A beach where you can chill along the streets of Kamakura. From this corner, if the weather is good, you can see both Mt. Fuji and Enoshima Island at the same time. At first, I thought I wouldn't be able to see it, so I took the train back again. Seeing this picture in front of me, I must say it's totally worth it. 06: Enoshima Island From Enoshima Station, walk across the bridge for a while and you'll find Enoshima Island. Along the way, there are cute cafes to stop and rest along the way. For those who love seafood and raw fish, come here, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Apart from delicious food, a nice walking street, an old neighborhood, there's also 'Shirasu fish' or what we call a small fish, which is a symbol of this place. Souvenirs, food, desserts, and even ice cream, here, almost everything has small fish as an ingredient. 07: Cafe Yoridokoro A cafe from Inamuragasaki Station that is famous for its photo locations and its menu items like Saba fish rice, with a signature soft and fluffy egg that we have to make ourselves. The shop will provide equipment, which is the fun part, haha. The best place to sit and get the most beautiful photos is the outdoor area. You can ask the shop to reserve a table for you. This shop has tourists queuing up since the shop opens. 08: The Sunrise Shack (Inamura-gasaki Store) Walk along the beach a little further out of the alley and you'll find a street full of cafes. Rows of dozens of shops We stumbled upon this shop and felt that the shop's design was cute and the menu was not expensive. Most importantly, the view from the 2nd floor of the shop was very beautiful. The shop is not very popular among tourists. We mostly saw Japanese people. I recommend it. 09: Pacific DRIVE-IN A cafe and a photo spot that you must come to do! Get off at Shichirigahama Station. The vibes are great. The shop is by the sea. The light is beautiful. It is suitable for chilling out in the evening. There are both food and drinks. Most of the cafes in this area have a Hawaiian feel. Last year, a guide to Japan's cherry blossoms was widely bookmarked, but due to unexpected climate conditions, the blooms did not meet expectations, and the guide wasn't fully utilized. Here are some places I visited last year, categorized into recommended, not recommended, and optional visits. 🌸Recommended Visits⛩️: Soga Riverbank (Osaka): If you're planning to visit Osaka for cherry blossom viewing, Soga Riverbank is worth a visit. It stretches about 1-2 kilometers with cherry blossoms, offering picturesque scenes alongside trains. This location is frequented mostly by locals, with few foreign tourists. Transportation is accessible via Kintetsu Bōjō Station, with about a 10-minute walk after exiting the station. Sewari-tei (Kyoto): Sewari-tei is a well-known spot that was stunning even before full bloom last year. It can be paired with Fushimi Jukkoku-bune for a day's itinerary. Ōishi Shrine (Kyoto): Last year's cherry blossom refugee situation is still vivid in my memory, but Ōishi Shrine's night cherry blossoms and Sewari-tei were saviors. It's recommended to arrive before 5 PM for night photography. You might encounter locals with Shiba Inu dogs, which make for great photos. Transportation is convenient from Kyoto Station, with buses Daigo Temple Line 301/303 going directly. ☀️Weather-dependent🌧️: Miidera (Kyoto): We visited Miidera last year during heavy rain, under a gloomy sky. Reservations are required, so it's advisable to check the weather forecast in advance. If it's sunny, it should be picturesque; if rainy, it's not worth visiting as there's nothing else nearby. Reservations can be made at Miidera Reservation. Address: 246 Onjoji-cho, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. Reservations start on March 10, 2025, costing 3000 yen per group, up to 6 people. 🚌Other🚶♂️: Tsubosaka Temple (Osaka): During cherry blossom season, Tsubosaka Temple is crowded with both locals and foreign tourists. Due to traffic congestion caused by locals driving up the mountain, the bus takes 2 hours, so we walked back and forth, taking about 1 hour from Tsubosakayama Station to Tsubosaka Temple. Transportation is available via Kintetsu Tsubosakayama Station with a direct bus, and no reservation is needed. The best spot for viewing Tsubosaka Temple's Buddha requires queuing. Not Recommended: Shojuin Night Cherry Blossoms (Kyoto): The online photos of Shojuin are heavily edited, making it difficult to capture beautiful night cherry blossom photos. I joined an online tour for over 200 RMB. Departing from Kyoto around 5:30 PM, it takes over an hour to reach Shojuin. Mostly locals visit here, and no one speaks Chinese. Share Fukuoka 8 days 7 nights travel plan 🇯🇵 This trip, I changed my sleeping place 1 time, so prepare a small bag. 😆 Day 1: - BKK —>> FUK at 5 am, arrive around 9 am Thai Vietjet Airlines (I recommend buying Deluxed for convenience when checking in and getting 20 kg of luggage. The price is not much different from buying the normal type ✨) - Land then leave your bags at the accommodation. We stayed at APA Hotel Hakata Higashihie Ekimae, just 2 train stations from the airport. - Then go to Teamlab Forest Fukuoka. The building has a restaurant. Stop to eat at the mall before going in. - The first day, go shopping at the mall because I didn't prepare clothes. Day 2: - Go to Uminonakamiji Aquarium. There is a dolphin show and a penguin show. In the middle of the falling snow, it was so beautiful. - In the afternoon, we went shopping at the mall and looked for a restaurant to eat. Day 3: - We left early in the morning to Kumamoto Castle by Shinkansen. (Booked in advance from the JR website) - In the morning, go for a walk at Kamitori shopping arcade I got a pair of ON shoes ✨ - Take the train around the city and return to Hakata in the evening. Use the JR Pass to book a return train ticket at the counter. Day 4: - Check-out from the hotel, leave your luggage in a locker at Hakata Station, take a small bag instead, take the Yufuin no mori train (special trains must be booked in advance via the JR website only and can be booked 30 days in advance) - Visit Yufuin and check in at Pension Yufugoiki (entry at 15:00, grandparents are very cute, highly recommended‼️) Day 5: - Go to Beppu, take the train from Yufuin to use the JR Pass, book directly at the counter. - Visit Hells of Beppu, red hot springs - Walk and find something to eat and return to Yufuin to rest Day 6: - Check out and find something to eat before taking the same train back to Hakata - Check in at Toyo Hotel - Visit the temples at Nanzoin temple is a beautiful big Buddha temple and pray before going back Day 7: - Wake up early to go to Ainishima Island (Recommend to stop by to buy cat food at the mall before going. We will be very loved by cats) 🥰 - Return from the island in the afternoon, stop to buy souvenirs at Hakata Train Station and pack your bags Day 8: - FUK —>> BKK in the morning at the airport. There are quite a few souvenirs for sale. I recommend buying them at the airport. ✅ 【Recommended accommodation】🏡 Hotel name: Pension Yufugoiki The accommodation looks ordinary from the outside, but the grandparents are very cute. Good service, there is a shared onsen pool but you can lock your own time to soak. ♨️ 💰Average price per person: 35,000.- THB Average price +- a little bit depending on eating and shopping 【Tips】✨ - Buying a JR Pass will be convenient for traveling and booking train tickets Yufuin no mori *You have to wake up and book immediately because it fills up very quickly **When you go to choose a seat on the right side of the train, you will see a beautiful view. ***If you go with many people, choose square seats because the chairs can rotate to each other. - The places to visit will be loose. If you go on a short trip, you can try to organize them on the same day. Don’t worry about hotels in Mount Fuji, they have great views, good food and great hot springs! |||Three years later, I finally set out on the journey to Mount Fuji again and stayed at this hot spring hotel - Xiufengge Kogetsu. 🏨 Location and transportation Shufengkaku Kogetsu is located on the other side of Lake Kawaguchi, with Mount Fuji behind it and a broad view. It is not located in the busy downtown area like other hotels, but slightly off the beaten track, away from the hustle and bustle, by Lake Kawaguchiko. The transportation is convenient. From Kawaguchiko Station, you can take a bus for 20 minutes to arrive at the hotel and start a pleasant journey. The hotel also provides a pick-up service which can be arranged at a pre-determined time. 🗓️ Check-in and check-out arrangements ⏰Check-in time: 14:00 ⏰ Check-out time: 11:00 ✨ The warmth and design of the hotel This hotel makes me feel peaceful and comfortable every time I stay. Although the overall architectural style has a strong Japanese flavor, the hotel also incorporates modern conveniences.
