It is said that one day the head of the Tala village held a large feast that lasted 7 days and 7 nights, enough with all kinds of games. At another time, a meeting was held for a ceremony that was to fight a cat and a dog on the roof of the house, when it was zuhor time, the two animals were fought, while the animals were fighting, a typhoon and heavy rain suddenly occurred. In the storm, an old woman and her granddaughter ran to their nearby village called Kampung Gantang to unload the rice that had been dried. After unloading the dried rice and after the rain subsided, the woman went back to Tala village. How surprised she was when she saw that Tala village had been covered by a large mountain. By eliminating the village, the mountain that covered Tala village. It is said that it was originally located upstream of the Reng River. It took about 3 days and 2 nights to reach the mountain which is located on the border of Kelantan and Perak where it originated. The original site of the mountain was replaced by a large pond.
