This bunker was originally built in 1938 by the Japanese Kwantung Army and later played an important role during the Liberation War and the Korean War. Figure 3 depicts Ji'an Port and Boundary Marker No. 23, established in 2009. It is a significant landmark on the China-North Korea border and a popular spot for tourists to visit. Figures 7 and 8 show the Yalu River Bridge (railway bridge), which spans the Yalu River, connecting Ji'an with Manpo, North Korea. This railway bridge was constructed in 1937 and served as a vital transportation route during the Korean War, symbolizing the deep friendship between China and North Korea. Figure 9 shows the Ji'an Yalu River Highway Bridge. Figures 10 and 11 show the Ji'an Highway Port Joint Inspection Building (also known as the "Highway National Gate"). The inspection building is 29 meters tall with four floors. The fourth floor is an open sightseeing hall accessible by elevator. Inside the hall, free high-powered telescopes are available, offering clear views of buildings in Manpo City across the river, such as the border crossing inspection office, Children's Traffic Park, Kim Il-sung–Kim Jong-il Studies Room, and the Women's Artillery Battalion.
