Jieyang Zheng Dajin Residence: Jieyang's First Jinshi and an Extraordinary Childhood Zheng Dajin (1452-1516), courtesy name Jingqing, art name Jing'an, was a native of Meicun, Yujiao Mountain, Jieyang. He passed the imperial examination as a Jinshi in the second year of the Jiajing reign (1523) and served as a compiler at the Hanlin Academy and as the dean of the Guozijian (Imperial Academy). Jieyang has a long history, and Meicun is also a famous village known for producing top scholars. The Ming dynasty top scholar Lin Daqin also left his calligraphy here. Zheng Dajin was the first Jinshi in Jieyang's history, leaving a significant mark on the cultural history of Jieyang. Zheng Dajin's former residence is located on Shanmei Road in Meicun. This ancient architectural complex covers nearly 600 square meters, with a frontage of 18 meters, a depth of about 62 meters, and a height of approximately 10 meters.
