Today I discovered this amazing hotel right by Baotu Spring in Jinan—it’s truly incredible! Open the window and hear the babbling spring water, step outside and you’re at Baotu Spring. The location is just perfect! 📍The hotel’s location is unbeatable, right next to the north gate of Baotu Spring Park. It’s a 5-minute walk to Quancheng Square, and very close to Kuanhouli and Furong Street. Although it’s near the scenic area, it’s peaceful and quiet—sit by the window and see the water right outside! Truly living by the spring water, like staying in a northern Jiangnan town! So cozy. 🍃The hotel’s design is full of charm, with the beautiful scenery of Daming Lake right at your feet—blue bricks, gray tiles, small bridges, and flowing water. The rooms face the water, with clear lake views and weeping willows by the shore. At night, when the lanterns light up, it feels like traveling back to old Jinan. 🛏The room experience is perfect, with a private window seat overlooking the spring—such a wonderful surprise! You can sit by the window and feed the fish right from your room, which kids absolutely love!! Fall asleep to the sound of the spring water💤 Wake up to birdsong in the morning—so poetic. In the afternoon, enjoy a big bowl of tea and listen to opera in the courtyard. Don’t miss the Baotu Spring night light show when it starts in the evening! The hotel is fully equipped! Recently, Jinan welcomed its first snowfall of the winter, instantly turning Jinan Wildlife World into a joyful paradise. The park is located in Bucun Subdistrict, southwest of Zhangqiu District, Jinan, covering about 2,200 acres with a forest coverage rate as high as 92%. It is divided into two main areas: the northern walking tour area features 12 themed zones including Birdsong Flower Valley and the Panda Pavilion; the southern drive-through area includes five geographic habitat zones such as the African Grassland and Asian Grassland. The park raises over 300 species and nearly 4,000 rare and protected animals through a combination of free-range and captive breeding. Visitors can not only watch the animals and appreciate their lively charm but also learn about plant and animal conservation and receive science education. #hangzhou 1️⃣West Lake and its surroundings. Once you reach West Lake, I recommend taking a ferry to Xiaoyingzhou Island (小瀛洲), where you can see the three stone pagodas depicted on the 1 yuan banknote. Look for the piers with the sign "三潭印月"; tickets can be purchased at the ticket offices at the main piers. To find them, open Google Maps, find the lake, and see the ferry route (marked with a blue dotted line). You can also see the ferry route on signs along the shore and on tickets. 🎫A round-trip ticket to the island cost me ¥70. On the southern shore of West Lake is the Leifeng Pagoda. The Leifeng Pagoda is associated with the legend of the White Snake. A staircase and escalator lead to the pagoda, and inside, in addition to the traditional staircase, there's an elevator! The pagoda offers beautiful views of the lake, mountains, and city. Inside, the pagoda houses various cultural exhibitions. I particularly liked the carved wooden frescoes depicting scenes from the White Snake legend. These frescoes are located on floors 1-4. 🎫The entrance fee is ¥40. 2️⃣Faxi Temple. Many people visit the main Lingyinsi Complex (灵隐寺), which is vast and contains several different temples and caves. 🎫The entrance fee for the complex is ¥45, plus ¥30 for the temple itself. Be prepared for crowds. I preferred the Faxi Temple (法喜寺), a separate temple located next to Lingyinsi. I recommend climbing to the very top of the temple; it offers a beautiful view of the mountains. Many people take photos with the temple pagodas in the background. How to get from one to the other 1. On foot: From the exit of the Lingyinsi complex, walk up the road northwest along the stream. The walk will take 30-40 minutes and is very scenic. 2. By bus: You can take bus #103 at the stop near Lingyinsi and ride 1-2 stops to "Fasisa", then walk a short distance. 3. By electric car: At the exit of Lingyinsi, you can find local electric cars that will take you to Fasisa for a small fee. (We actually chose this route; it's cheap, fun, and interesting.) 4. By taxi. 🎫The entrance fee is ¥10. 3️⃣Tea Plantations There are numerous tea plantations around Hangzhou🍵, one of the most famous is the Longjiang Tea Plantations (龙江）🍃). If you come to Hangzhou in the spring, during the tea harvest, I highly recommend visiting them. You can participate in this process for a fee, sometimes even for free. :) You can also hike to the mountain observation decks and enjoy the beautiful views (it's free).
