The first international brand hotel in Jinjiang, the top choice for business travelers in Jinjiang!
On this trip to Quanzhou Jinjiang, I discovered a hidden gem hotel, the Marco Polo Hotel Quanzhou Jinjiang. It is considered the first international brand hotel in Jinjiang, operating for over 15 years, and is one of the most established hotels in Jinjiang and the entire Quanzhou area. The hotel has a great reputation locally and is very popular among tourists and business visitors.
1. The hotel is located in the core area of Jinjiang – the Sunshine Times Square in the Jinjiang Central Business District, adjacent to major shopping areas, enjoying convenient transportation: only a 5-minute drive from Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport, 30 minutes direct to Jinjiang Station, and 1 hour to the Xiamen metropolitan area. Popular attractions in Jinjiang are very close to the hotel, just about a five to six-minute taxi ride. It is about 13 kilometers to Quanzhou city attractions, which is also quite quick by car. For travelers coming to Quanzhou, whether arriving or departing by plane, Marco Polo Hotel is the first choice for accommodation.
2. The hotel lobby is very spacious, featuring an 18-meter-high dome ceiling design that is quite distinctive. Such a high ceiling is rare in Quanzhou hotels and adds a luxurious feel. Sunlight pours in through the dome glass, making the interior very bright with excellent natural lighting.
3. The hotel has a total of 280 rooms and suites, with a stylish design, spacious layout, and equipped with modern comfortable facilities and technological support. The guest rooms on the 15th floor VIP level have been fully renovated, making the stay very convenient and comfortable. I was fortunate to stay in the Marco Polo Suite this time, which has excellent lighting with full floor-to-ceiling windows that capture the outdoor blue sky and white clouds. Besides the spacious bedroom, living room, and bathroom, the Marco Polo Suite also has a separate tea room for drinking tea and reading. The tea room is fully equipped with drinking water, quality tea bags (paid), tea sets, and even a mahjong room, allowing guests to play mahjong with visiting friends for relaxation.
4. I have to praise the hotel’s executive lounge, which is truly rare as it is open all day, offering breakfast, afternoon tea, and happy hour, all of excellent quality. The happy hour is especially outstanding, featuring pan-fried sole, cured beef with red wine sauce, chicken, beef, pork, seafood, Margherita pizza, duck skewers, meat sauce pasta, and more – so abundant it’s like a dinner spread. Truly commendable. The lounge has also been renovated, with a very modern and stylish overall look.
5. For dining, the all-day dining restaurant Marco Polo Café is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel, with island views on all sides and tall floor-to-ceiling windows providing full natural light and a fashionable atmosphere. Besides the breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner offer Chinese and Western à la carte options such as steak, pasta, salad, and skewers, all reasonably priced. The ingredients are guaranteed fresh and much better than outside options.
6. The lobby bar on the 1st floor has high ceilings and great lighting, where you can enjoy various premium Chinese teas, specialty coffee, cocktails, and afternoon tea. Prices are quite affordable, and it’s a great way to relax by sitting in the lobby bar when staying at the hotel.
7. It’s worth mentioning that the hotel’s leisure facilities are also quite comprehensive, offering a range of recreational services and amenities. The gym on the 6th floor is spacious and well-equipped, with a 250-square-meter outdoor swimming pool and a jacuzzi, plus a spa center for relaxation.
