The Jinju Lantern Festival is worth visiting at least once!

I didn't know, but it was a famous festival that was rumored to be a festival you should visit at least once before you die😄 Maybe that's why it was crowded even on a weekday.. It was really full and every nook and cranny was decorated beautifully! But what caught my eye was Jinju's mascot, Harmo!! He was so cute that I ended up buying a doll🤣 The food court was well-equipped and there were several restrooms, so it was comfortable! The caramel mocha cream is so rich that it stands out anywhere, highly recommended!!! 🍫 The coffee taste doesn't suit me, but I travel 40 minutes round trip just for the cafe mocha cream 🥨 Healing 🩷 The interior pursues a quiet atmosphere, If you contact them in advance and order, you can take out through the drive-thru. There are various coffee beans available, so it's recommended for home use or as a gift. The Jinyang Lake Observatory

#koreatrip The scenery of Jinyang Lake is so nice. The view from up a slight hill to the 3rd floor is very nice. I think this place itself is an amusement park, with Jinyangho Zoo and Jinju Land in the parking lot. It would have been nice to just go to Jinyangho Observatory. The Jinyangho Zoo 진양호동물원

#koreatrip I'm in Jinju, a City of South Korea. Staying at Asia Lake Side Hotel . I was roaming around and found a beautiful zoo in the locality. It was a great experience. Small but well maintained local zoo. Admission is only 1000won, and free for kids below 6. They have a decent collection of animals including tigers, bears, and monkeys. We love here and visit every time we visit my parents in Jinju.

Chokseongnu Pavilion

#koreatrip Historical place, still relax and cozy park. Few entrance fee for all day long-can get in and get out freely. You can feel something historical and make your mood calm down. There is a very nice historical museum inside the Jinju fortress feasuring the Junju fortress defense against the Japan invasion in 16th century and how Chosun and Japan has been connected again after the that 7-year war.

Jinyangho Zoo

#koreatrip Small but well maintained local zoo. Admission is only 1000won, and free for kids below 6. They have a decent collection of animals including tigers, bears, and monkeys. We love here and visit every time we visit my parents in Jinju. Nice peaceful zoo with scenic views. Not many animals however basic ones are there. Feeding is possible, take some vegetables and fruits. Recommend to visit zoo during cherry blossom time to add more remarkable family pictures.

Jinjuseong Fortress

#koreatrip A great way to spend an afternoon in Jinju. It is an interesting place to look around and take in some Korean culture especially if there is entertainment on going in the open air theatre. It also makes a very pleasant walk away from the cars with an interesting view at every turn. Keep your ticket and you can come and go all day if you want to pop out to a bar or restaurant or visit one of the interesting antiques shops you can see from the wall.
