I'm totally hooked on guesthouses around Tokyo! Easily embark on a pastoral getaway.
Tokyo, as Japan's bustling metropolis, is a top choice for many visitors. This time, however, I discovered a hidden gem – Chiba – where I could relax and unwind. At a 100,000-square-meter forest farm, I enjoyed fruit picking, VR ziplining, DIY crafts, and hot springs. I must say, my two-day, one-night stay at THE FARM Resort Japan in Chiba was absolutely fantastic!
The Chiba Organic Family Resort offers two accommodation options: tent camping for those who prefer a romantic atmosphere, and private villas for families. Not only are the accommodations comfortable, but there are also many exclusive experiences!
DIY Crafts: The DIY crafts at the farm were incredibly fun! I made a scented candle, choosing my favorite materials to create a personalized gift – the finished product was so satisfying! I also made a DIY photo frame, selecting my favorite decorations to decorate it – a truly memorable keepsake!
Ziplining + VR Jungle Adventure: Why didn't anyone tell me that ziplining in Japan is so much fun! It's more like a jungle adventure! After donning your gear and standing at the starting point, the staff carefully checks you out, then with a gentle push, you "fly" off! Immersed in a sky mirror, soaring among the mountains, the exhilarating feeling of rapid flight will give you an explosive sense of freedom and boundless freedom!
Then, follow the story and guides on a wondrous jungle adventure. Put on VR glasses and instantly "travel" through time, battling dinosaurs and monsters, and unlocking the secrets of the forest with a mysterious hunter.
Seasonal Harvesting: The farm grows many vegetables, with different harvests each season.
You can even pick your own seasonal fruits and vegetables to take home after completing your daily task!
Hot Springs: When you're tired from playing, you can soak in the hot springs to wash away all your fatigue. There's also a whole room full of comic books; you could easily spend the whole day reading comics here!
Lunch can be had at the farm's cafe. The food is delicious, and the environment is fantastic.
Sitting by the outdoor window, you can enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery!
Other experiences: You can also get up close and personal with farm animals, enjoy BBQ, river tracing, and various other fun activities. There are also children's playgrounds, making it perfect for family vacations!
Nearby attractions: Located in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture, it's a 90-minute drive from the Tokyo metropolitan area and only a 20-minute drive from Narita Airport.
Nearby attractions include Sawara Old Town (a water town remnant from the Edo period), Katori Shrine (a shrine with a thousand-year history), and Mount Naritas (the "Omotesando" lined with shops).
