A fun free place to visit multiple times along with family and kids. A large park to spend your time even for a picnic. A cafe to get food or treat with ice creams or so. The inside is with a museum to show the castle room history armour collection used during the wars collection of antiques etc. The Prison jail and collection is unique and great piece of art. Had an amazing time visiting it will visit it again. Went to Kilmarnock with my family. It was warm last Saturday with blue sky and white clouds. The transportation is very convenient, take the train to Kilmarnock and then walk for 25 minutes. It's a big park. We saw the castle, walked around a large circle, saw the deer, and had afternoon tea in the cafe in the park. It took about 4 hours. Castle has some ancient costumes that you can wear for taking photos, haha, very funny! The cafe is very comfortable to sit outside! Foreigners come here with their dogs for a walk and to eat. The Lentil Soup in the cafe is delicious and not expensive. 4 cups of coffee, a soup and a ham and cheese toast for only £14.

Getting There - Car 🚗 From Glasgow city centre to Kilmarnock.It took about 40 minutes to get there. Attractions - Dean castle The castle was built in 14th century, once hold by Boyd family. The keep is an addition built in 19th century, you can walk up there, it was amazing in the interior. Walk up the 40-staircase spiral stairs, you can see the dungeon. It was so cool! There is a gift shop where you can buy some for yourself 😙
