Kansai|One Day Tour in Kobe
One day in Kobe unfolds slowly, following the pace of my three-year-old daughter. From the amazement at the dolphins leaping in the aquarium to the sunset we embraced together at Maiko Park, as night falls, fireworks sparkle brilliantly in her eyes. The gentleness of Kobe perfectly holds all her curiosity.

🧭 Navigation: Sun Wen Memorial Hall (hidden spot)
Akashi Kaikyō Bridge — the world's longest suspension bridge, tickets available to walk the glass walkway, visit the Sun Wen Memorial Hall, arrive half an hour early for the sunset. The park itself is a coastal green space, perfect for strolling and resting, watching locals fishing and cycling by the sea, very pleasant.
📍 Meriken Park
🚇 Transport: 20-minute walk from "Sannomiya Station"
On the way to Meriken Park, you pass Motomachi Shopping Street, Yellow, Shabu Cheese, and more. On Saturdays at 18:00, there is a fireworks show in the park; events often change, so check online in advance. We happened to be in Kobe on a Saturday, after watching the sunset at Maiko Park, we took the train to see the fireworks 🎆 Worth it! Around the park are Kobe Tower, the Maritime Museum, a Ferris wheel 🎡, and the Anpanman Museum, perfect for a leisurely stroll and enjoying the harbor night view.
On the return train, my daughter leaned against me, fast asleep, her little hand still clutching the souvenir sticker from the aquarium. I thought this day trip to Kobe had already become our most precious memory. Though just one day, it is enough to savor for a long time.
