Something about me when I travel is looking out for events, be it a. one time event or an annual event at locations that I am traveling to because for me, a destination will always remain the same but one off or annual events make the destination unique for that certain short period. For me attending these events gives you a more experiential travel experience because you see things that are celebrated locally, bringing out the people of a certain industry that sometimes are overlooked. This Southern Corridor Art Festival which was held in the Forklore Museum - The Institute for Southern Thai Studies is a fine example where local artistes, craft makers and local food vendors gather at the museum ground which had a vantage point of the Thinsuloda Bridge that connects Koh Yo to Singhanakhon and the Lake of Songkhla. The vibes is chill and relax for you to stroll the stalls, enjoy a stage performance or just chill and take a bit, sip a drink enjoying to nice music. One of the most facinating fine dine restaurant in Songkhla is this restaurant called Charmed that serves authentic Songkhla cuisine in a rustic centruy old bungalow that has been restored. The food is amazingly delicious, and fresh and the presentation is so beautiful yet the prices are very affordable. They do have live music day and night and their staff are super attentive. Tom Saep Kradong Aon, 150 baht, sour and spicy taste, well-rounded, the cartilage is not tough and easy to chew. Grilled pork neck, priced at 100 baht, we thought it was grilled well and delicious, but the amount was a bit small. Spicy papaya salad with fermented fish, 50 baht, delicious and smooth according to the standard. Mixed fried rice, 180 baht, large size, good for 3 people, lots of shrimp and squid. Corn salad with salted eggs, 100 baht. The taste is well-rounded but a bit too sweet. Overall, it's okay because it's a restaurant near Koh Yo. The price is The food is average, not very expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. If you come during the day, you will also get a sea view.
