The journey took about three hours, roughly the same as the JR Limited Express, but it was 2,000 yen cheaper—a gentle and practical romance for budget travelers 🚌. Upon arriving in Nagoya, we first stored our luggage at the hotel and headed straight to the Alpen sports store. With five floors in total, we went directly to the fifth-floor snowboard gear section to pick out a pair of snowboard boots for both my wife and myself. After all, if we plan to go snowboarding in China in the future, having our own boots will allow us to truly leave our footprints on the snow ❄️👣. Landing 5 minutes early at around 9:25 AM, I quickly make my way through the fast track and arrive at Chubu Airport Station by 9:30 AM.😎 At 9:37 AM, I leisurely board the μ-SKY train. However, there seems to be an incident at Kanayama Station causing delays in both directions, resulting in a turtle-paced journey. I arrive at Meitetsu Nagoya Station about 18 minutes late. Initially, I planned to leave the airport early to collect the Kanie City manhole card, but I quickly gave up on that idea. Instead, I purchased my routine Lotto 6/7 tickets and participated in the Hokkaido Fair. At 12 PM, I joined the first session of the Nagoya Castle Afternoon Tea. They host two sessions daily at 12 PM and 2:30 PM, accommodating five groups per session. I had been informed in advance that a minimum of two people is required to make a reservation, so I paid for two and enjoyed it solo. Many places don't allow this kind of arrangement. The sandwiches were delightful, and the hotel facilities were incredibly luxurious. I enjoyed the observation deck after a long time and browsed the shops, purchasing a limited-edition Monchhichi x Hello Kitty item that caught my eye. When I returned 20 minutes later, the line had reduced to 10 people. I checked in my luggage and entered the duty-free area within 5 minutes, heading straight to the lounge. The lounge was located next to the Korean Air lounge. Inside, there was only one staff member and one other guest, making it very quiet. The Thai and Japanese dishes were well-balanced. They offered two types of Suntory draft beer and Jim Beam highballs, so I enjoyed three drinks. This time, we are introducing a cafe in Aichi Prefecture that serves delicious pudding. We ordered pudding and salad during our visit. The salad was very generous in portion and tasted great. I went to "Betokon Ramen Shinkyo" in Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture (((((((っ･ω･)っ Betokon Ramen is a signature dish created by the previous owner of Shinkyo, a Chinese restaurant founded in 1969 (Showa 44). It originated in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture, and spread from there to Nagoya and throughout Japan. Since it was my first time trying Betokon Ramen and I heard it was spicy, I ordered the Betokon Ramen with less spice and squid tentacles (o･ω-人) Even though it was the less spicy version, it was still quite spicy. The first castle built by Oda Nobunaga, it was made of reinforced concrete, so it has no atmosphere. It's not bad if you think of it as a green park. However, there are excavations of important historical items, and the exhibits are not bad. The mountain is not high, so the view is not good, but it is a place that I personally like. If you are traveling by car, please use the parking lot next to Komaki Police Station. This is a high-end restaurant in a traditional Japanese house. The interior and garden are both calming. The garden that can be viewed from inside the restaurant is lovely, and you can spend a luxurious time forgetting about your daily life. A simple yet flavorful original tanmen made by extracting flavor from pork, Chinese cabbage, cabbage, and garlic and combining it with a salt-based soup. An original salt-based umami soup with a light taste that brings out the sweetness of the vegetables, but with a punch of garlic. Komakiyama Castle in Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture, was first built by Oda Nobunaga in 1563. When Nobunaga started to move to Kyoto, he moved from his original Kiyosu Castle to Komakiyama Castle to conquer Mino (present-day Gifu). Until then, typical castles were defended by moats and earthworks, but Nobunaga was the first to incorporate "stone walls," which became the basis for castle construction throughout the country.
