3 Days Sailing Through Komodo Islands: A Journey into Nature’s Wildest Wonders
I recently spent 3 unforgettable days and 2 nights sailing around the stunning Komodo Islands, home to pristine landscapes, crystal-clear waters and the iconic Komodo dragons. Here’s my itinerary and some tips to help you make the most of your trip! #holidayvacation #adventure #sailingparadise
🤿 We began the journey at Kanawa Island, where the calm waters and vibrant marine life made it the perfect spot for some morning snorkelling. The beach here is pristine and the underwater scenery was teeming with colourful fish. After lunch, we headed to Komodo Island - home to the world’s largest lizard, the Komodo dragon! Walking with a guide through the national park was thrilling and seeing these ancient creatures in their nature habitat was unforgettable. Pro Tip: wear lightweight clothing and pack a camara with a good zoom lens for those dragon shots! #snorkeling #holidayvacation #komododragons
⛰️ The second day started with a challenging but rewarding hike up Padar Island. The panoramic view of its iconic three-coloured beaches is a must-see! The trek is shot but steep, so good shoes are essential. After the hike, we sailed to Pink Beach, where the sand has a unique rosy hue. #hiking
Tip: Start the Padar hike early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowds.
🐠 On the final day, we sailed to Manta Point, where we had the incredible experience of snorkelling with majestic manta rays. We wrapped up the trip with a stop at Taka Makassar, a tiny sandbar surrounded bu turquoise waters. #beachlife
Travel Tips:
- Best time to visit: April to June or September to November for fewer crowds and ideal weather.
- Boat tours: Choose a reputable operator that includes national park fees and provides good quality snorkelling gear.
- Safety: Always follow your guide’s instructions, especially near the Komodo dragons, and stay hydrated during the hike.
The journey was the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique escape into Indonesia’s stunning natural landscape!

Visiting Komodo National Park was an amazing experience. 🏞️ This park is located in Indonesia and is home to the world's largest Komodo dragons. 🦎 I enjoyed walking through the scenic landscapes, which included majestic coasts and rugged mountains. 🏔️ Snorkeling in the clear waters around the island was special, allowing me to see coral reefs and a variety of marine life. 🌊 The unusual wildlife and landscapes made this visit an unforgettable experience for nature and adventure lovers. 🌟

The charming pink beach
#summerdestinations
East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has many amazing tourist destinations with unique natural and cultural beauty. One of them is Pink Beach.
Pink Beach is located in Komodo National Park and is one of the few beaches in the world with pink sand. This unique color is produced from red coral fragments mixed with white sand, creating a stunning view.
Pink Beach Lombok is located in Temeak Hamlet, Serewe Village, Jerowaru District, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Pink Beach Lombok or Pink Beach Lombok is also called Tangsi Beach. Pink Beach Lombok also does not have big waves so it is a suitable place to find peace.
Especially with the clouds rolling in the sky when the weather is sunny. The expanse of hills around the beach adds to the perfection of the scenery around the beach.
There are hills and vast grasslands on the left side of the beach, if tourists climb the hill, they will see a vast expanse of the Pink Beach Lombok view. While on the right there is a gazebo that can be used to relax and spend time resting. Pink Beach Lombok is located in an area that is quite difficult to reach. This is what makes the beach maintain its beauty.

Stunning view of pink sand beach
#beachcheck
Most of the beach in the world has white sand beach. Unlikely in the Komodo island, you will see and feel the pink sand beach on your own feet.
If you happen to visit Labuan Bajo, please explore the island with local travel agency booked online to secure your seat for witnessing the stunning and mesmerizing this pink sand beach. The water is also clear and clean and suitable for diving.
The pink color caused by the pink coral on the beach, hence the sand looks like they are naturally pink. You can only get here by local tour boat trip, so you should better book them in advance. This pink beach is one of the most authentic destination for Labuan Bajo trip, so this is a must-visit destination!

Visiting Komodo National Park was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. I traveled to this magnificent island in Indonesia to explore the famous dragons and its rich biodiversity. The boat trip across the Pacific gave me the chance to witness the stunning beauty of the landscape and its captivating beaches. She explored the lush forests and mountain trails to reach the dragons' feeding and breeding areas. I learned about the importance of preserving this unique ecosystem and protecting its wildlife. Connecting with nature and learning about these unique creatures was an amazing experience. Komodo National Park is a special destination for wildlife and nature enthusiasts.

Komodo Dragon National Park
One of the best National Park in Indonesia which offer the only Komodo dragon experience. The park rangers are very friendly and informational. You have to have transportation to this island, normally with group tours or if you use live on board sailing boat tour will have option to get here. Tour with guides will last about 40 minutes which includes some photo shoot session in front of Komodo dragon you'll find along the way. Beware to follow park ranger instructions on the guided tour in the island.

Yellow Season in Pulau Padar
Padar Island is an extraordinary place. The scenery there is very beautiful. The mountains, the sky and the sea make a perfect combination.
If you want to go to Padar Island, you should go early in the morning so that it doesn't get too hot when you climb. Also provide drinking water so you don't get thirsty.
Many photo areas are beautiful but some of them are dangerous. Make sure you take the photo carefully so you don't fall over.

AMAIZING! Half an hour after sunset, 10thousands of flying foxes, leave this tiny island, and head to Flores (to have dinner). A must see -National Geographic show happening live!! What spoiled the moment was a morron with a drone-disturbed the animals big time.

Sunrise in Padar Island
Great place to see sunrise with spectacular view on the island..
We need to hike approximately 300 steps. Prepare your stamina! The best time to see is actually for sunrise, but I hiked for sunset instead. Turns out that was better, bcs there was literally no one else. It felt like a private island. So we don’t need to queue for taking photos.

Pink Beach Komodo
#wecreate
Indonesia's Komodo Island is renowned for its Komodo dragons, but there is much more to explore in the area. One of the hidden gems in the region is Pink Beach, which is known for its beautiful pink sand.
Located near Komodo Island, Pink Beach is a popular stop on day trips from Labuan Bajo, and for good reason. The beach's sand gets its pink hue from the pulverized red coral that mixes with the white sand. This unique combination creates a stunning visual contrast against the clear turquoise waters.

It takes a while from Labuan Bajo to this island. During the trip you will see a lot of island, but there's nothing like this Padar Island.
Once you arrive at Padar Island, you will be welcomed with beautiful clear water. Then you can find the toilet easily and those are in good condition.
During the hike, you are accompanied with beautiful scenery. It might take a while to be on top and see 3 beaches. Don't forget to bring water and take rest when you need. It's quite hot there.

Pink sand Beach 🏖 near Komodo island 🏝
#wecreate
Imagine taking a boat and arriving into a kinda desert island in the middle of Indonesia, the boat stops a few hundred meters from the beach and then you do some snorkeling and swim inland only to find that the sand isn't as you know it, but pink, yes like the color.
🍃 🐬
Beyond the gorgeous sand, another thing that Will catch your attention is the nature around, very unique and wild, I think the sand is mare with little pieces of coral, so it merged together to create thst pink and beautiful color.
✈
To arrive here isn't the easiest trip, first you need to take a flight to Flores, probably from Bali, then a boat tour I recommend you the two days one, because you have more time to admire each spot

Dragons and Diving:Epic Adventure in Komodo
👋 Hi everyone, I just came back from an amazing trip to Komodo Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Indonesia 🇮🇩
🐉 Komodo Islands are home to the largest living lizard on earth, the Komodo dragon. These creatures can grow up to 3 meters long and weigh up to 150 kg. They are also venomous and can run up to 20 km/h. I was lucky enough to see them up close on a guided trekking tour in Komodo National Park 🌳
🌊 But Komodo Islands are not only about dragons. They also have some of the most stunning marine life I've ever seen. I went snorkeling and diving in the crystal clear waters and saw colorful corals, turtles, manta rays, sharks, dolphins, and more 🐠
🏝 The islands also have beautiful beaches, some of them with pink sand. I loved relaxing on the shore and watching the sunset over the horizon 🌅
🙌 This trip was one of the best experiences of my life and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature and adventure. Komodo Islands are truly a paradise on earth 😍

Paradise views from Padar island
My visit to the Padar island near Komodo island, Indonesia was an unforgettable experience and we took a boat tour from Labuan Bajo at dawn and arrived on this beautiful island in the morning. We hiked the mountain on the island which was a great exercise and it was beautiful to take in the views, as we rested on our way up to the top. It had an incredible views of the 3 different coloured beaches in white, black and pink. Also you can see Komodo island in the distance and a beautiful sunrise. 😍 The water looked so wonderful and blue by the beaches although, the one pink beach we visited on Padar island had ocean trash washed away on one side of the beach. I wish people do something about this! Thank you! 🤞🏻🫶🏻 #pinkbeach#padarisland#paradiseisland#hikingonanisland#komodisland#indonesia#environmentalist

Sweet Escape to the Pink Beach
Komodo Island is a part of the Komodo National Park in Indonesia and is home to the famous Komodo dragons. It is also home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Pink Beach, which is located on the eastern side of the island, is dubbed to be the most popular beach. The sand here is a stunning pink color due to the presence of red corals mixed in with the white sand. The beach is surrounded by lush green hills and crystal clear waters, making it the perfect spot for snorkeling, swimming, and sunbathing.
Drinking the coconut juice by the sea, enjoying such a beautiful view is also super recommended!

See the mythical dragon alive
Have you ever wonder how a dragon looks like from the close?
If you are curious about it, you definitely want to visit this Komodo’s Island Trip. You can book for one day trip, riding the boat with the other tourists and local guide to this island and seeing the amazing dragon.
It’s dangerous and adventuring at the same time, when you walk through the forest and feeling scare when you are in the habitat of Komodos you will find the adrenaline running through yourself.
You will also find how beautiful this place is and seeing the others animals that live in the Komodo’s Island.

The Wonder Place
It was a magical place for me to visit this Padar Island, the unforgettable place that I had visited.
There is about 800+ steps to hike to see the most magical nature. The feeling when you see the beautiful sea from the high place is definitely very satisfying 😍
It was tiring to hike, but every step is worth it as soon as you reach the high point you will how beautiful the surrounding islands. You will never forget this wonderful place.
Komodo Island Trip is one of my favorite and amazing trip so far. One of the place you should visit before die, definitely!!

Hike
What will reward you at the top is possibly the most beautiful sight in Indonesia. It’s only a 1 hour hike to get to the view point at the top, but it’s pretty steep with unstable ground.
To get to Padar island you will have to take a boat from the main land of Labuan Bajo which takes around 3 hours, but is usually combined with a trip to Komodo National Park. Take a look at the tour operators on Labuan Bajo and see which day trip best suits your schedule.
No trip to Komodo is complete without a selfie with the world’s largest lizard, and these are almost guaranteed in these sacred islands. The best place to see them is Rinca Island. Here, you can hike around the lush greenery while searching for these beautiful beasts.

Pink beach in komodo Island
it takes one and half hours from Ayana Resort pier to go to this island. We went there at 5 am in the early morning. You can rent a speed boat to go there. The beach is so nice, with pink sands. The place was not crowded. you can go snorkeling, diving, and canoeing on this island. But we were really sad because we can't spend much time on this island. Our boat captain said we have to go back really fast before it is too late, because the wave will get higher after 12 pm. Happily we had safely arrived in our hotel before 1pm. We think a one day trip to Labuan Bajo is too short and it is not enough. #gooutside #beachlife

This is the place where you found dragons
One of the national parks that you must visit!
It's in Indonesia located within the Lesser Sunda Islands in the border region between the provinces of East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara. The park includes the three larger islands Komodo, Padar and Rinca, and 26 smaller ones.
The most remarkable inhabitant of Komodo National Park is the Komodo Lizard, Varanus komodoensis. These giant lizards, existing no-where else in the world, are of great scientific interest, especially for their evolutionary implications. Most commonly known as 'Komodo Dragons', due to its appearance and aggressive behavior, the Komodo Lizard, is the largest living species of lizard, growing to an average length of 2 to 3 meters. The species is the last representative of a relic population of large lizards that once lived across Indonesia and Australia. As well as being home to the Komodo dragon, the Park provides a refuge for many other notable species such as the orange-footed scrub fowl, an endemic rat, and the Timor deer. The rich coral reefs of Komodo host a great diversity of species, and the strong currents of the sea attract the presence of sea turtles, whales, dolphins and dugongs.
