Autumn Ginkgo Spectacle in Kumamoto: A Dreamy Golden Season Journey
When autumn arrives, the ginkgo trees in Kumamoto, Japan, become a prime tourist attraction. As the seasons change, the streets, parks, and temples of Kumamoto are covered with golden ginkgo leaves, making the entire city appear as if it is draped in a golden cloak. As a unique natural spectacle of the autumn season, the ginkgo forests in Kumamoto are a must-visit destination for autumn foliage enthusiasts.
One of the most notable spots is Suizenji Jojuen Garden, located in the heart of Kumamoto City. This traditional Japanese garden is renowned for its ancient history and exquisite design, and every autumn, the ginkgo trees within the garden become the focal point. As you stroll along the paths, the dazzling golden canopy above and the carpet of fallen leaves underfoot create a fairytale-like atmosphere. The lake within the garden reflects the beauty of the ginkgo trees, offering a serene and poetic setting perfect for photography.
Another popular autumn spot is the ginkgo avenue on the campus of Kumamoto University. The ginkgo trees here are neatly arranged, forming a long golden tunnel that attracts many locals and tourists for walks or bike rides. As the autumn breeze blows, the ginkgo leaves gently fall, evoking a sense of tranquility and beauty. For photography enthusiasts, this location offers countless perfect angles, especially when the sunlight filters through the leaves, adding a warm golden glow to the scene.
If you prefer quieter and less crowded spots, the ginkgo trees around Kumamoto Castle are also worth a visit. This historic castle looks even more majestic and beautiful against the backdrop of golden ginkgo leaves. The ginkgo trees swaying in the autumn wind and the gently falling leaves add a touch of softness and poetry to the ancient structure. The atmosphere here is both rustic and romantic, making it an ideal place for quiet contemplation or leisurely autumn strolls.
In summary, the ginkgo scenery in Kumamoto adds infinite charm to autumn travel. Whether it's the lakeside ginkgo trees in Suizenji Jojuen Garden or the golden avenue on the campus of Kumamoto University, every ginkgo sight in this area is filled with dreaminess and poetry. For nature lovers, autumn in Kumamoto is undoubtedly a feast for the eyes and soul. This golden season, let's step into Kumamoto and experience the tranquility and beauty under the ginkgo trees!
Enjoy Flower Viewing Along the Kumamoto Tram Line
One of Japan's many attractions is its extensive railway and tram networks. When you visit Kumamoto, a classic photo spot is capturing the scene of a tram passing in front of Kumamoto Castle. However, if you visit Kumamoto in the spring or summer, don't forget to take photos of the blooming flowers along the roadside.
The first photo spot where you can capture lavender with the tram is located next to the busy Shinshigai Station. This is a station that most visitors to Kumamoto will pass through, and the lavender along the road is definitely one of the best places for a photo.
The second flower viewing spot is located at Tasakibashi Station. Next to the station, there are bright yellow rapeseed flowers, and if you're lucky, you might catch a train with a yellow body, creating a vibrant scene. As the terminal station, most trams stay here for a long time, allowing you to take your time to find the perfect angle.
Visit to Kumamoto Prefecture
My visit to Kumamoto Prefecture was a rich and enjoyable experience. The prefecture is famous for its beautiful nature and ancient history, especially for Kumamoto Castle, one of the best-preserved castles in Japan.
I enjoyed strolling through the garden surrounding the castle, where the flowers were beautifully in bloom. I also visited Aki's hot springs, where I felt a sense of relaxation surrounded by nature.
The dining experience was truly delicious as I tasted local dishes, including the flavorful Kumamoto pork.
I highly recommend visiting Kumamoto Prefecture to explore its beauty and unique culture. It's definitely a must-visit destination! 🌸🏯

Kumamoto Castle + Josaien: A Must-Visit for a One-Day Tour in Kumamoto City
When visiting Kumamoto, the first place that comes to mind and is a must-visit is undoubtedly Kumamoto Castle; it is one of Japan's three most famous castles and has a history of over 400 years. Located in the Chuo Ward of Kumamoto City, you can reach Kumamoto Castle on foot from almost any hotel in the Chuo Ward. 🏯🇯🇵
Kumamoto Castle suffered damage from the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake and thus required restoration. The castle's keep has been fully restored and was reopened to the public in June 2021. Inside the keep, there is a series of textual, pictorial, video, and model exhibits that allow visitors to deeply understand the history of the keep, and from the top floor, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Kumamoto City. Although the keep has six floors, there is an elevator inside, which is a thoughtful design that accommodates visitors with different needs. 👍🏼💯
After touring Kumamoto Castle, you can reach Josaien from the south gate exit. This area features a variety of shops selling souvenirs, restaurants, and snack stores. Although it's not very large, there are plenty of options, and you can even enjoy Kumamoto Bear-shaped Japanese rice crackers! After appreciating the historical and cultural aspects of Kumamoto Castle, taking a break and refueling at Josaien is a great choice. 🎏🍦🍱🍜🍰🍹🥰
Kumamoto: A Stylish Cafe that's Like Art
Located in front of Keitoku School in Kumamoto City, this stylish cafe ☕️
Lyiine (Riene) is a shop filled with dedication, offering only counter seats.
The third floor is an atelier called Ridecco, and when you visit the cafe, the owner will guide you there 🩷
The third floor is a breathtaking space, with an atmosphere reminiscent of cafes in Korea ✨
No matter where you take a photo, it's adorable, and time flies by in an instant ⏰
The cafe and its menu are full of commitment 💯
The sweets and drinks, crafted like works of art, are almost too precious to consume!
The owner's stories are also enjoyable, so I definitely recommend taking your time to visit 🩷

Kumamoto Castle
This is obviously the best castle in Japan. The castle tower is so huge that even all of Japanese are amazed by the size. Due to the terrible earthquake, the castle tower was destroyed in 2016, and it reopened several years ago. Although it is still under restoration, the view of the castle and cherry blossoms are so beautiful.
To get there, you must go to Kumamoto City, which is about 90 minutes from Tokyo by airplane.
But, of course, castle is the center of the city. Hence, everywhere you are , you can see the castle.

What to eat in Japan|This pub has made flowers for horse meat, each of which is the best appetizer
when it comes to Kumamoto, it must be a horse meat dish posted on the street. I have eaten horse meat in other places before coming here, and I dont have a deep impression. Until last night, the delicious can't stop, drunk in this home wine house. It is a "sakura meat", and it is the first Kumamoto of the country's meat horse breeding!
1 Test the owner's taste of the appetizer and change it daily. Tomato cream stewed seafood with mashed potatoes, a spoonful of sake and a small dish, instantly recognize this store, decided to add more!
2 The raw horse meat is mixed with cucumber. The amazing thing is the cantaloupe hidden in the cucumber, which embodies the unique sweetness of the horse meat. This dish is enough to drink a pot of wine.
3 The most recommended creation dish is the horse meat sauce cheese pizza. It is more like a pizza with a scented cheese soda cracker. It is topped with thick horse meat sauce and topped with spicy oil.
4 meat garlic sushi, using the finest pork belly and special sauce sesame oil, smooth and incomparable.
5Fried horse meatballs and horse meat cola shells. After chopping with chopsticks, large horse meat can be seen in the mashed potatoes. The meatballs are crispy and juicy, cost-effective appetizers, long live fried food!
6 Spicy fried horse meat slices in stone pot, this dish is very suitable for Chinese stomach, a bit like the practice of spicy chicken.
7XO Sauce Seafood Fried Rice
The biggest feature of this restaurant is the creation of horse meat and the Japanese wine variety that should be proud of. I sit in the corner and can only shoot the tip of the iceberg. There are 1000 in the store. The yen tastes a set of three Japanese sake.
* The horse's glycogen is three times that of beef, so the fresh horse meat has a special sweetness, vitamin content and calcium, iron and so on are the highest in red meat. And horse meat can consume excess heat in the body, and athletes use it to treat inflammation.

Visit Kumamoto Castle's 2 classic routes
to Kumamoto, where you will be the Kumamoto Castle. This Kumamoto Castle, once known as indestructible and never captured, collapsed in the attack of two earthquakes. Nowadays, in Kumamoto Castle, the glory of the past is faintly visible, but more is the wreckage. It is said that it takes 20 years for Japan to repair the Kumamoto Castle.
Tour Route 1: There are two routes to visit Kumamoto Castle. Most people choose to go up from the steps behind the Sakura Horse Racecourse, because Kumamoto Castle is built on the hills and the terrain near the Sakura Racecourse is relatively low. Short, it doesn't take much effort to get up. Along the way, you will pass through a wide grassland that has not been applied for, Yuan Taigu, Xi Dashou, and Erwan Park. After a round, you will arrive at Kato Shrine.
Features: The grass is photographed, the street in front of the Arboretum Arboretum is seen in the cherry blossoms
tour route 2: From Kumamoto's largest Tsuruya department store, walk along the road to Kumamoto Castle Inari Shrine Follow the road to visit the three tracks, the East 18th, do not open the door, and then climb a huge slope (a little laborious) to reach the Kato Shrine.
Line features: Visit Inari Shrine, less quiet, green avenue
!! The two routes are not repeated and are worth visiting.
Last tip: To see Kumamoto's iconic building, the size of the sky, the best location is in the courtyard of the Kato Shrine, and Kato Kiyoshi is the legendary figure who built this Kumamoto city.
The most famous feature of Kumamoto Castle is that the military returns to the military (the army wants to give up). Apart from its own towering and solid city walls, the designers have considered the situation of being surrounded by enemy forces at the beginning of the construction, so they are widely used in the city. Ginkgo biloba, even the material of the bed in the city, is made from the stems of the scorpion. The siege can be used as a reserve for the war. Therefore, the city of Kumamoto has the nickname "Ginkgo City", whenever the Ginkgo biloba leaves in the late autumn. When it is yellow, the beauty cannot be square.
In the Meiji era, Kumamoto Castle, as a throat fortress connecting the north and the south, stabilized half of Japan in the "Southwest War." At that time, the army of Kyushu's heroic Xixiang Longsheng was swearing from Kagoshima. However, when the army killed Kumamoto Castle, it couldnt be attacked.
There is also a samurai performance, the leftmost little girl is a descendant of the local warrior.
The distance is the stage of the minister. After the ministers rickety signature dance was uploaded to the social networking site, it successfully attracted more than 2 million hits and nearly a million fans on social media.
According to statistics, in just over two years, "Kumamoto Bear" brought more than 1.2 billion U.S. dollars in economic benefits, including tourism and product sales, to Kumamoto, where many Japanese people have no impression. And the equivalent of 90 million in advertising and promotion.
It can be said that the cool ma Meng is the government department, the most successful endorsement creation! It has a very high popularity among fans everywhere. In the office, posters, graffiti and souvenirs related to him, if it is a girl with a mentally mature age, I am afraid I will not move here.
The first experience of kimono, Miao Ou Sang, @
Start our first day of exploration, every place in the city is linked to Kumamoto adults, people feel a sense of cuteness.
There are two choices of tram and bus in Kumamoto. The bus starts at 150 yen, but the farther and farther it is. The tram is no matter how far it is. It costs 170 yen, although there is only one line, but it covers the core. The area is basically enough.
How come to Japan can not come to the kimono experience, and there is a beautiful place in this place - Shuiqian Temple into the fun garden!
When the owner looked at me, I highly recommend this style that is really suitable for me! How are you going to be like locals?
On the way back, there will always be one or two on the road selling the cute Kumamoto, so that everyone feels happy;
Come to Kumamoto, if you don't have time to go to the minister's office, don't forget to go to the surrounding streets Look for the cute footprints of Kumamoto~

🧳 Travel preparation:
📞 Remember to get a Japanese SIM card so you can stay in touch.
🔌 Bring a plug adapter. Japan's voltage is 110 volts, so don't get it wrong.
🪪 Prepare your passport and visa, as you'll need them for entry and exit.
👗 Japan is already getting cold in November, so thick coats and long pants are a must.
🔋 Chargers and power banks, so your phone and camera never run out of power.
💰 Cash and credit cards, so shopping and dining are easier.

Kumamoto CANDEO HOTEL offers an ultra-comfortable sky bath and sauna.
Kumamoto CANDEO HOTEL KUMAMOTO Shinshigai
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the bustling shopping street.
It's within a 10-minute walk from the Kumamoto bus station and a 5-minute tram ride.
The transportation is very convenient.
Moreover, the facade on the first floor is very grand and looks beautiful both in the morning and evening!
The best part here is the SKY SPA on the top floor.
It has a large bath, open-air hot spring, and sauna, which can relieve the fatigue of the whole day.
Even if you are not staying at the hotel, you can purchase a day-use ticket to enjoy the hot spring.
The room can open two 28-inch suitcases.
There is also a tatami mat by the bed where you can relax leisurely, and the room has excellent daylight during the day.
The bed has a relatively firm mattress, which I find quite comfortable to sleep on.
If you don't go upstairs to the hot spring, the room still has a bathtub for soaking.
The lobby also has a rest area and amenities available.
