#SummerThemePark Beware of rain! A new Okinawa theme park 🤍 I was looking forward to the opening of Janglia! I had a lot of concerns beforehand (especially about parking), so I hope this information will be helpful for those planning to visit by car in the future! First of all, admission tickets and parking were reserved in advance. (I wish I had reserved the attractions in advance as well...) For restaurants, you had to register for the waiting list using the QR code displayed in front of the store on the day. I was number 53 in line for the restaurant on the first day! I think it's best to register before you go. As for parking, even if you go to Janglia without a reservation, you will always be directed to the affiliated AEON Nago store, 20-30 minutes away (there is a shuttle bus from AEON), so if you want to arrive at the park right when it opens, it's absolutely essential to make a parking reservation in advance. I was one of those turned away. When I arrived at Janglia's parking lot at 9:30 without a reservation, the security guard told me, "It's absolutely impossible without a reservation," and advised me to either go to the affiliated AEON or use the spa's parking lot, which opens at 11:30 (no reservations required). The spa's parking fee is 500 yen for up to two hours and 3,000 yen for anything beyond that. The spa's parking lot was smaller than I expected, so I recommend arriving between 11:30 and 12:00! As for road conditions, the roads were almost completely clear both at 9:30 and 11:30 before Janglia's opening. I was expecting heavy traffic, so this was a huge surprise. The spa's parking lot opens at 11:30, but the earliest shuttle bus from the spa to Janglia leaves at 12:00, so you'll have to wait 30 minutes at the bus stop. The bus stop is uncovered, so be sure to take precautions against the heat. It seems you can also walk from the spa to Janglia, but it takes about 20 minutes, so I recommend taking the shuttle bus. The shuttle bus ride takes about 3 minutes. As for the attractions, we went without making a reservation in advance. The wait times for popular attractions were 430 or 230 minutes, so we gave up on waiting in line and decided to just enjoy the park atmosphere. However, due to the weather that day, it seemed like very few attractions were operating. I recommend making reservations for attractions in advance or purchasing express tickets! After exploring the whole park, I think Janglia is a great place to feel "Power Vacance!!" assuming you can ride the popular attractions, but I'm sure there were many people who couldn't, so I hope that in the future the park will be designed to allow even those who couldn't ride the rides to enjoy themselves. Also, I feel that if the advance announcements and advertising had been a little more modest and in line with the current level of theme parks, the gap between expectations and reality might not have been as large. Hiji Falls is located in the Yanbaru forest in Kunigami Village in the northern part of Okinawa's main island. Located in Mizube Motobu, Okinawa, Orion Motobu Resort & Spa is near an aquarium. There is a large parking lot, suitable for self-driving tours. We started the drive from Cape Manzamo in Onna Village 🚙 Hiji Falls - Oishirinzan - Cape Hedo, the northernmost point.
