Kutná Hora: Gaze at the Bone Church and Echoes of the Middle Ages
# Sign up for hotel trial sleepers in December
Kutná Hora, the name means "mining mountain" in Czech, is not only a small town with a rich mining history, but also a place full of mystery and charm. My trip to Kutná Hora was a dialogue with history, an experience of traveling between the glory and silence of the Middle Ages.
The moment I arrived at Kutná Hora, there was no instant surprise like Prague, but a charm that gradually penetrated. It is not as noisy and lively as Prague, but it has a quiet and profound beauty, a sense of history that makes people unconsciously slow down and savor it.
My journey started at the Church of Santa Barbara (Chrám svaté Barbory). The majesty of this church far exceeded my expectations. It is not a typical representative of Gothic architecture, but it is amazing with its unique style and exquisite craftsmanship. The church's spire reaches into the sky, and the essence of Gothic architecture is perfectly reflected here. The interior space of the church is spacious and bright, and the stained glass windows shed colorful light, filling the entire space with a sacred and solemn atmosphere. I walked around the church, feeling the atmosphere of history, admiring the exquisite murals and sculptures, as if I was in a sacred temple. The architectural details of the church are breathtaking. Every stone and pillar tells the wisdom and sweat of medieval craftsmen. Standing on the top of the church, overlooking the entire Kutná Hora, you can have a panoramic view of the town. The feeling is refreshing.
Next, I went to a place that shocked and awed me - the Sedlec Ossuary, also known as the "Bone Church". This church is not as creepy as its name, but has a unique sense of art and historical precipitation. The interior of the church is decorated with tens of thousands of human bones, which are cleverly arranged and combined to form various patterns and decorations, such as huge bone chandeliers, bone crosses, and so on. The construction of this church is an alternative interpretation of death and a profound reflection on history. Although I felt a little uneasy at first, as I learned more about the history of the church, I felt more solemn and awe. This is not only a church, but also a work of art and a historical monument. In a unique way, it shows the world the fragility of life and the inevitability of death. Here, I feel a kind of tranquility that transcends life and death, and a deep thinking about life.
Leaving the Ossuary, I strolled through the ancient streets of Kutná Hora. The streets here are mostly cobbled and lined with ancient houses, full of medieval style. I walked into the alleys of the town and found that there are many beautiful scenery and interesting stories hidden here. I browsed the shops in the town and found many beautiful souvenirs such as handmade ceramics, wood carvings and more.
In Kutná Hora, I also visited the Italian Court, which was once the residence of the Czech kings and is now part of the Kutná Hora Museum. The interior of the palace is well preserved and full of medieval atmosphere. I strolled through the cloisters of the palace, admiring the exquisite murals and sculptures, and felt as if I had returned to medieval Europe.
I also tasted the traditional cuisine of Kutná Hora. The food here is mainly meat and beer, delicious and unforgettable. I especially like the roast pork here. The meat is tender and rich in flavor. It is even more delicious when paired with the local special sauce. I also drank Kutná Hora’s traditional beer, which had a mellow taste and was refreshing.
In Kutná Hora, I also did some interesting things, such as enjoying the performances of street performers in the town square; tasting beer in a local tavern and feeling the lively atmosphere of the town; walking in the town park and admiring Visiting the beautiful flowers and trees; learning about the history and culture of the town in the town’s museum… These experiences gave me a deeper understanding of Kutná Hora and filled me with wonderful memories of this town.
The night in Kutná Hora is quiet and peaceful. As night falls, the lights of the town are soft, there are few people on the streets, and everything seems so quiet. I sat in an outdoor cafe, sipping coffee and admiring the night view of the town. Kutná Hora in the night is more mysterious and charming. It looks like a veiled woman, showing her unique charm in the night.
The moment I left Kutná Hora, I looked back at this town full of history and mystery, and my heart was full of reluctance. Kutná Hora, it is not as lively and noisy as Prague, but it deeply attracted me with its unique charm. It has both the splendor of the Middle Ages and the tranquility of modern times; it has both magnificent buildings and ancient streets; it has the solemnity of Santa Barbara Church and the mystery of the Ossuary... Everything makes me full of love for Kutná Hora. good memories. Goodbye Kutná Hora! I look forward to meeting you again and feeling your charm and mystery again. This journey is not just a trip, but also a baptism of the soul, an affectionate dialogue with history, art, culture and mystery. Kutná Hora, you will always remain in my memory as one of the best memories in my heart. The gaze and medieval echoes of the Ossuary will forever echo in my heart.
Kutna Hora: Discover the Silver City of the Czech Republic 🇨🇿
Kutna Hora is a city in western Czech Republic, southeast of Prague. The town was founded due to the discovery of silver mines in Kutna Mountain. The whole town developed with the growth of the silver mining industry. Many buildings symbolizing the prosperity and wealth of the city made it an imperial city in the 14th century.
Santa Barbara Church
Santa Barbara Church is the largest church in Kutna Hora, comparable to St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, with a six-petal bracket vault that maximizes elegance and modesty. 🏰
Silver Mine Museum
The Silver Mine Museum is housed in a small castle built in the 15th century. In addition to visiting the exhibitions, you can take a "Silver Mine Tour" for a total of one and a half hours. Wear a hard hat and explore the narrow medieval mines with a professional guide. ⛏️🏞️
Gothic Stone Fountain
This Gothic stone fountain can be seen walking down the street. It is located in a square in the center of Kutna Hora. The exterior is decorated with exquisite Gothic patterns. 🌸💧

[Czech Republic] Bone Church: Is human nature dark? Mass grave exhibition?
This place is amazing! You will feel it there. Sometimes you feel how dark human nature is. You get a sense of what it's like to be in a mass grave. You will see an exhibition that will be etched into your mind forever. It's much smaller than it looks in the pictures, but the way the bones and skull are arranged is really something else. The chandelier is my favorite part.
It’s so spectacular that it’s worth a visit. This is a must if you are in the Prague area.

This Church is Underrated 😍⛪️
St.Barbara church in Kutna Hora I feel is seriously underrated. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and is amongst one of the most beautifully constructed Gothic churches. Kutnahora was known for it silver mines and St. Barbara was considered as the patron saint for the miners.
When you visit too many churches in Europe they start seeming similar after a point, but this one happens to stand out in our memories - the beautiful beautiful stained glass windows, the frescos, the murals, the overall architecture and yes peaceful surroundings which is otherwise missing.
Prague Surrounding Tour - CK Town and KH Town
CK Town, full name Český Krumlov, is a castle town in Czech Republic, also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, like a world coming out of a comic book.
Starting from Prague, I chose the Regio Jet bus and bought tickets directly from their official website. There are discounts for advance booking, and the ticket price is around 15-18 euros. The journey takes about 3 hours. Be sure to pay attention to the location of your hotel. I got off at the wrong stop because there are two parking spots (AN and Spicak) in CK town. Fortunately, the two stops are not far apart, but dragging luggage on the cobblestone streets in the town is a bit of a challenge.
If you have time, be sure to stay in the town for a night. In the evening, there are not so many tourists, surrounded by the river, peaceful and comfortable. You can also say good morning to two bears if you get up early!
It is recommended to make an appointment in advance for the tour and explanation of Krivoklat Castle. If you make a late appointment, only Czech language explanations will be available, but an English guidebook will be provided for you to follow along. You don't need to do anything here, even just quietly daydreaming will make you feel the beauty of time passing by...
Recommended restaurant: Krcma v Satlavske Ulici cave restaurant, bread onion soup and grilled ribs are really good👍, remember to drink the onion soup quickly, otherwise the bread will drink it up. The black beer is so delicious!
KH Town Kutná Hora - Central Bohemia (KUTNA HORA) is recommended to take a train from Prague Central Station (Praha hl.n) and walk a short distance to the attraction after arrival, or take a taxi. Remember to buy a ticket at the tourist center first, which is more cost-effective! The Bone Church is really shocking, but also very oppressive. St. Barbara's Church and The Church of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist are all included! The whole town is very small and can be visited as a day trip from Prague.
Recommended restaurant Pivnice Dacicky. They have 6 flavors of craft beer, which is quite tasty.
KUTNA HORA BONE CHURCH, CZECH REPUBLIC
Different from other churches, the Kutna Hora Bone Church is decorated with human bones all over the room.
It is said that in the 14th and 15th centuries, about 40-70 people died from a deadly disease.
Thus, this church is filled with many human bones and skulls. #triplocal

#tripaway
That was an increadible experience. I dont know if everybody will like it or not. But really the concept and also the reason beside the number of bones there(remaining of over 60k persons) was just stonishing for me.

Czech travel guide | Prague and the surrounding self-driving tour
for the Czech heart for a long time, whether it is rich in bohemian elements and the historic CK town, the stunning and sacred human bone church, still full of romance The breath of Prague, even the rural pastoral scenery, is fascinating.
The Czech Republic stayed for five days and was driving all the way. Then go to Austria, usually play Central Europe can play 2-3 countries together.
Day1-Day2
In the small town of Kutna Hora not far from Prague, there is a human bone church. In the 14th century, the black death raged, and the Husse War broke out in the 15th century, which made the Bohemian land a boneless body. Later, the noble family of Montenegro bought this, and the carpenter Rint would decorate the church with the bones of nowhere, so about 40,000 white bones became the chandeliers, shields, altars, holy grails in front of them... strange and gorgeous. The information book says "It allows us to face the limits of life and the value of eternal life."
Santa Barbara Cathedral is the largest church in Kutna Hora. It is comparable in size and grandeur to the St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague. It is also a slightly different church. It is about 10 minutes drive from the Human Bone Church. Hh/Barbara is the patron saint of the miners. The church was originally built to give a gift to Barbara who guards the silver miners
from the altar, Ceiling Vault ceiling dome, six petal arches At the top, the elegance and dignity are brought to the extreme, while the badges of the families and groups are drawn on the dome.
The color window here is not made of glass mosaic, but the oil painting on the glass, the oldest The windows were made in 1898, the latest was 1923
because the Santa Barbara Cathedral was interrupted by the Huss War and was not rebuilt until the end of the 15th century, with design and time changing until the 19th century. This beautiful church was officially completed, and all the colorful windows, including the colorful windows, used quite advanced technology.
The Virgin Mary and the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, referred to as the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin, was enlisted in 1995 as a World Heritage List, dating back to the mid-12th century, the typical Gothic church, after many times of rest, incorporated Baroque style, the church is unique and refreshing
The internal structure of the church is very simple and clear, without towering columns, using arched domes for support
Trinity murals (Holy Father Holy Spirit)
Church is not big The two floors are slowly watching, and 20 minutes is also completed. The distance from the Church of the Assumption is less than 500m, which is the most famous Sedlec Zanggutang.
The Church of the Human Bone is called the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin on the map. The church houses a skeleton of 40,000 to 70,000 people. The human bones are placed in the form of decorations and displayed here. It can also be said that this is a human bone museum. The
human bone church is particularly small. More than 40,000 bones are sterilized and screened, and they are the same size. They are built into candlesticks, altars, holy grailes, thresholds, arches, charms and even crosses.
The chandelier made of human bones, with the leg bones forming the main frame, the lower jaw bones are draped into curtains, supporting a block of pelvic bones arranged in a circle, and the pelvis supports the head as a candlestick, which looks dense. The human bones will still be a little cautious.
