Summer at costa Brava
The Costa Brava, located in the northeastern part of Spain along the Mediterranean coast, is a stunning stretch of coastline known for its rugged beauty, charming seaside towns, and crystal-clear waters. This region, which stretches from Blanes to the French border, offers a blend of natural splendor, rich history, and vibrant culture that attracts visitors from around the world.
One of the highlights of the Costa Brava is its diverse landscapes. Dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and sandy beaches provide a picturesque backdrop for both relaxation and adventure. The beaches, particularly in towns like Tossa de Mar, Begur, and Calella de Palafrugell, are pristine and offer plenty of opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing.
In addition to its natural beauty, the Costa Brava is home to historic towns and cultural treasures. Girona, with its medieval architecture and Romanesque churches, and Figueres, the birthplace of surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, offer cultural experiences that go beyond the typical beach holiday. The Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres is a must-visit for art lovers.
The Costa Brava also boasts a vibrant culinary scene, with fresh seafood and traditional Catalan dishes like *pa amb tomàquet* (bread with tomato) and *fideuà* (a noodle-based paella) taking center stage. Pairing these meals with local wines from the nearby Empordà region enhances the experience.
In summary, the Costa Brava offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and excellent cuisine. Whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, or cultural enrichment, this region of Catalonia provides something for every traveler. Its charm lies in the seamless combination of scenic landscapes and authentic Spanish culture.

Traveling along the Costa Brava coast in Spain
The small towns along the Costa Brava coast in Spain are very beautiful. Besides the popular Instagram spot Tossa de Mar that we visited before, today we drove from Palamos along the coastline, visiting Lloret de Mar👉Blanes👉Calella, and finally arriving at Mataro. On the way, we discovered a hidden gem, the stunning beach Cala del Pi. You can walk along the coastal boardwalk, with few people and beautiful scenery, and the sea is incredibly blue👍🏻. This route is very nice, with stunning scenery all along the coastline, and the towns are not far from each other, so you can stop and play at whichever one you like!

🇪🇸Tossa de Mar - A lovely beach town in Spain!
#familytrips2024
Tossa de Mar in Costa Brava is a quiet beach destination and is an easy getaway from Barcelona, perfect for a day trip! The beach in front of the town is vast with clear water. The charming Old Town with its cobblestone streets and centuries-old towers are so impressive. There are buses to Tossa de Mar leave from the main bus station of Barcelona, Estacio del Nord. It's important to book the bus tickets online in advance!

Touring Spain | Cadaqués | Surrealistic Colorful Town
If you ask a Spaniard where the most beautiful small town in Spain is, they may answer you with a common saying: "Every town is a miracle. Cada villa, su maravilla."
📍Coordinates: Girona Province, Spain
👍Most recommended:
Cadaqués is the most beautiful town on the Costa Brava and in the province of Girona. Abundant sunshine, a town with red-tiled white walls, and a long coastline make up the unique and charming scenery of Cadaqués.
🌟Highlight features:
This beauty and tranquility of "facing the sea, blooming flowers in spring" also enchanted the surrealist painter Salvador Dalí.
The dreamy and perfect light and color inspired Dali's infinite imagination and countless inspirations.
✅Must experience:
A 20-minute walk will take you to Portlligat, the place where Salvador Dali spent his entire life.
This artist's imaginative residence, now the Dalí Museum-House (Casa Museo Gala-Dalí), opened to the public in 1997 and is one of the most visited places in Cadaqués. Visits must be scheduled in advance.
🚘Self-driving:
About a 2 hour and 15 minute drive from downtown Barcelona.
🚌Public transportation:
From the Fabra i Puig bus station in Barcelona city center, take bus 602 to Estacion de Autobuses Figueres (about 2 hours and 10 minutes).

Girona, Spain, so beautiful
I visited Girona, a city near Barcelona, Spain! The town is so cute and pretty. There are lots of shops and ice cream shops, and I love it :)

so much on offer
It has taken years for this centre to reach this point and it looked brilliant on the run up to Christmas. The shops are only a small part of what is on offer here. Some good restaurants, especially the Indian, and lots to occupy children. The supermarket is one of the best in the area too.
The rooftop food court is a must. You can watch the food being prepared and make your choices from lots of food types. The area is very busy with locals, especially family groups, during the weekends. We saw a local group play live, mainly Dire Straits tribute, and they were very good. If you don't want to eat there are some well stocked bars available. This place just gets better.
