Galicia region
#celebratewithtrip
A Corunna is a port city on a promontory in the Galicia region of northwest Spain Z the most famous icon here is the Tower of Hercules , which has sweeping coastal view . In the old town is the arcaded Plaza De Maria Pita , surrounded by narrow pedestrian lanes.
La Coruna is also famous for it rich Galician Heritage.
Over here you can also find some of the best benches in Spain
you can also do a day trip to small town area like Fene to experience how the local really live like .
In my point of view the sight here is comparable or even better than Barcelona and Madrid. Somehow La Coruna is like a forgotten gem. No much tourist can be see in sight and hence a much better travel destination to take picture

#lacoruna or A Coruña is a city in #galicia in northwestern #spain and very nice town. It is accessible by plane. Galicia itself is one of the greenest places in Spain and the city of La Coruna also. You can see the palms and the green grass. You can also enjoy the beaches.

Zara's hometown is so romantic.
La Coruña, a small town in northern Spain, has been rated as one of the best holiday destinations in Europe!
According to the ranking of El Mundo, La Coruña stands out with its rich green space, including the Bens Park covering more than 60 hectares.
As an important port in Spain, the city played a key role in the Age of Discovery, and the first Zara of the global fashion giant INDITEX was born here. The landmark here - the Hercules Tower (Torre de Hércules, p6-8) of the ancient Roman era faces the Atlantic Ocean and is recognized by the United Nations as a World Cultural Heritage. It is also a place where the art master Picasso often went to when he was a child.
Rich cultural heritage, classic seafood and charming city beaches, La Coruña is your perfect choice for a holiday!
A walk on the promenada 🇪🇸
#summerdestinations
Taking a stroll along the La Coruña promenade was one of the highlights of my trip 🌊. This coastal walkway stretches for miles along the Atlantic, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and the city’s famous landmarks. The best part? It’s completely free! You can start your walk from the iconic Tower of Hercules, the oldest working lighthouse in the world, and just keep going, soaking up the fresh sea air and stunning scenery.
The promenade is wide and well-maintained, making it perfect for walking, jogging, or even biking 🚴♂️. There are plenty of benches along the way, where you can sit and relax, listening to the waves crash against the rocks. One of my favorite spots was by the Aquarium Finisterrae, where I could see the playful sea lions basking in the sun 🦭. The views of the bay, with the Torre de Hércules standing tall in the distance, were simply mesmerizing.
Along the promenade, there are several sculptures and art installations, adding a cultural touch to your walk. You’ll also find some charming cafes and seafood restaurants where you can stop for a coffee or indulge in some fresh seafood paella 🦐. I ended my walk at Orzán Beach, where I kicked off my shoes and dipped my toes in the cool Atlantic waters. The beach was lively, with locals enjoying a sunny day and surfers catching waves.
This walk is a perfect way to experience the beauty of La Coruña and its coastal charm. Whether you're alone or with friends, it’s a peaceful escape from the city hustle, yet close enough to all the main attractions.

Shopping and dinning in La coruna 🇪🇸
#summerdestinations
La Coruña is a dream for anyone who loves shopping and dining! 🌊🛍️ I spent a delightful day wandering through the city, starting at the famous Calle Real. This pedestrian street is packed with chic boutiques, trendy clothing stores, and charming local shops. Whether you're looking for the latest fashion or unique souvenirs, you'll find it here. I was especially impressed by the local craftsmanship, from handmade jewelry to beautiful Galician ceramics. Prices vary, but there’s something for every budget, which makes it all the more enjoyable!
After some retail therapy, I headed towards the Plaza de María Pita, where the atmosphere is always lively. Here, you can find plenty of cafés and bars to take a break. I sat down for a coffee, soaking in the view of the stunning Town Hall building. For lunch, I made my way to the Riazor Beach area, which is lined with fantastic seafood restaurants. I couldn't resist trying the pulpo a la gallega (Galician-style octopus) 🐙 at a seaside restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious. The freshness of the seafood in La Coruña is unparalleled, and the local wine perfectly complemented the meal.
In the evening, I strolled along the Paseo Marítimo, with the ocean breeze and sunset views creating the perfect backdrop 🌅. I ended my day with tapas at a local taberna, enjoying the lively ambiance and friendly locals. With so many culinary options, from traditional Spanish cuisine to modern fusion dishes, dining in La Coruña is truly an experience to savor.
La Coruña’s combination of shopping and dining options, set against the backdrop of its coastal beauty, made for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend a visit if you’re ever in this part of Spain!

Vintage car expo 🇪🇸
#summerdestinations
My visit to the Vintage Car Expo in La Coruña was a fantastic experience that took me on a nostalgic journey through automotive history 🚗✨. Held in the city's exhibition center, this expo was a haven for car enthusiasts like myself. The entrance fee was 5€, which felt like a bargain for the incredible collection on display. From classic Ferraris to beautifully restored Model Ts, each car told a story of its era, showcasing the evolution of design and technology over the decades.
The highlight for me was a mint-condition 1967 Ford Mustang. Seeing this iconic muscle car up close, with its polished chrome and roaring engine, was a dream come true 🏁. The expo also featured several interactive exhibits, where I got to learn about the craftsmanship and restoration processes behind these vintage beauties. There was even a section dedicated to old motorcycles, adding another layer of nostalgia to the event. The atmosphere was lively, with people of all ages admiring the vehicles and snapping photos.
Beyond the cars, there were numerous stalls selling car-related memorabilia, vintage posters, and even parts for restoration enthusiasts. I grabbed a couple of vintage postcards as souvenirs to remember the day 📸. If you're visiting La Coruña and have a passion for cars or simply want to experience something unique, this expo is a must-visit. It’s only a short walk from the city center, making it easy to combine with other attractions like the Torre de Hércules or a stroll along the Paseo Marítimo 🌅.
I left the expo with a greater appreciation for the art of car making and a camera full of photos. La Coruña, with its rich history and cultural offerings, just keeps giving!

I enjoyed this city break🇪🇸
#summerdestinations
La Coruña was an absolute delight for a city break! 🌊 This charming coastal city in Galicia, Spain, is the perfect blend of history, culture, and stunning views. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the scenic waterfront promenade that stretches for miles along the Atlantic. Walking along the Paseo Marítimo, with the sound of waves crashing against the shore, was both relaxing and invigorating.
One of the highlights was visiting the Torre de Hércules, the oldest Roman lighthouse still in use today. For just 3€, I climbed to the top, and the panoramic views of the city and the ocean were absolutely breathtaking 🌅. It's a bit of a climb, but totally worth it for the photo opportunities and the sense of history that fills the air. The tower is surrounded by a park, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic.
The Old Town, or Ciudad Vieja, is another must-visit. Its narrow cobbled streets are lined with historic buildings, charming cafes, and boutique shops. I loved exploring Plaza de María Pita, named after the city's heroine, with its impressive town hall and vibrant atmosphere. There are plenty of cafes around the square where you can sit outside and soak in the local life ☕. Don't miss trying some traditional Galician cuisine like empanadas and fresh seafood—delicious!
After a day of sightseeing, Riazor Beach was a perfect spot to relax. Even though it's a city beach, it’s clean and well-kept, with crystal-clear waters that are great for a swim or just lounging under the sun 🏖️.
La Coruña is a city that has it all—culture, history, and natural beauty. Whether you’re a history buff, a foodie, or just looking to unwind by the sea, this city has something for everyone. I can't wait to return!

Fine Arts Museum 🇪🇸
#summerdestinations
I spent a fantastic afternoon at the Fine Arts Museum in A Coruña, Spain 🎨. For just 2€, I got access to an incredible collection of artworks that spanned centuries. The museum is housed in a beautiful building with an impressive modern interior that perfectly complements the art on display. From classic Spanish masters to contemporary pieces, the exhibits are thoughtfully curated, and I found myself losing track of time as I wandered through the galleries.
One of my favorite sections was the collection of paintings by Francisco Goya. It was fascinating to see his original works up close, each brushstroke telling a different story. The museum also features a wonderful collection of Galician art, highlighting the region's rich cultural heritage. I especially loved the sculptures, which are displayed in a way that allows visitors to appreciate them from every angle 🗿.
The Fine Arts Museum is located in a quiet part of the city, just a short walk from the bustling Plaza de María Pita. After my museum visit, I took a leisurely stroll to the plaza, enjoying the beautiful architecture and vibrant atmosphere. The square is surrounded by charming cafes, perfect for a coffee break or a light lunch ☕. I ended my day with a walk along the Paseo Marítimo, taking in the stunning views of the coastline and the Atlantic Ocean 🌊.
Overall, the Fine Arts Museum is a hidden gem in A Coruña, offering a peaceful escape into the world of art and culture. It's a must-see for art lovers and anyone looking to add a bit of history and beauty to their visit to this lovely coastal city.

Sunny walk to La Torre de Hércules
Strolling along the sun-drenched seacoast of A Coruña on a glorious May afternoon, I was greeted by the serene beauty of the Galician landscape. My journey began with a leisurely walk past #Riazorbeach, where a couple locals were out for a swim braving the frigid #atlantic ocean. The sparkling blue waters glistened under the radiant sun, painting a picture-perfect scene that felt like a slice of paradise. As I continued, I passed the tranquil #orzan Beach, a haven for beachgoers basking in the warmth of the day. Ascending the gentle incline towards the iconic #torredehercules, the world’s oldest functioning lighthouse, the panoramic view expanded, revealing a breathtaking vista of the endless horizon. The historic tower stood majestically against the backdrop of the clear, blue sky. From this vantage point, the entire coastline unfolded before me, a mesmerizing blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage; a perfect culmination to a day of exploration. This walk along the beaches of A Coruña to the Torre de Hércules was an unforgettable experience, and favourite memory of my travels.

Searching for the Footprints of 'The Legend of the Blue Sea'
My journey through the north of Spain begins with the first stop at Galicia's capital, A Coruña. The most famous landmark in A Coruña is undoubtedly the Tower of Hercules, which attracts a large number of tourists every day. This landmark was also one of the filming locations for the popular Korean drama 'The Legend of the Blue Sea', and as a fan of the show, I definitely had to make a pilgrimage here!
The Tower of Hercules was built during the Roman period and is the only ancient Roman lighthouse still in use today, with a history of 1,900 years! In 2009, it was even listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In ancient times, this lighthouse was considered the end of the world. Of course, we now know that this idea is incorrect, but climbing up the lighthouse, seeing the blue sea and the compass built in 1994, the view is fantastic and it's definitely worth a visit!
