2024 Lake Iseo Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in November)
Cycling around beautiful Italy
Cycling along Lago d'Iseo offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and tranquility. The scenic route takes you around the lake, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, charming villages, and the sparkling water. The path is mostly flat, making it accessible for cyclists of all levels. Along the way, you can stop at lakeside cafés to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine or explore small towns like Lovere or Sarnico. Don’t miss Monte Isola, the lake’s island, accessible by ferry, where you can bike through olive groves and medieval streets for an unforgettable Italian adventure.

View on the lake
The hotel La Pernice has a beautiful breakfast terrace on Lake Iseo. We even got a room with a really nice view. Even though the weather was cloudy and it rained both days we still got to enjoy the peace and the beauty of the lake.
The Hotel gave us access to the swimminpool facing the lake and it is one of the most beautiful view around there.
Breakfast was nice and rich but the hotel restaurant was closed that weekend..what a pity, I would have loved to dinner with that view!
Overall we spent a really nice time there! Would love to go again.

Lake Iseo in Italy
It was a lovely weekend we spent at the lake. Although everywhere is crowded in Italy during this season we were surprised to see a very few tourisits visiting the little towns around lake Iseo.
We had long walks and enjoyed the calm of the scenary.
There are several towns that face the lake and they are very cute to see. Some are connected by hikes but if you are not into sports you must go around by car.
We also visited the little island called Monte Isola that grows in the centre of the lake. You can reach it by ferryboat from many of these towns. They have a continuos service during the day.
I reccomend visiting this lake at least once and it is quite close to Lake Garda too.

Lake Iseo 🇮🇹
#myhiddengems
My trip to Lake Iseo in Italy was nothing short of magical! 🌅 Nestled in the Lombardy region, this hidden gem offered breathtaking views and a more tranquil vibe compared to the bustling crowds of Lake Como. The entrance fee for the boat ride around the lake was around €10, which was totally worth it! 🚤 Cruising through the clear blue waters, I was surrounded by picturesque mountains and charming little villages dotting the shoreline. The highlight was visiting Monte Isola, the largest lake island in Italy. It’s a peaceful haven with no cars, just bikes and scooters, so I rented a bike for €5 and spent the afternoon exploring the island. 🚲
Nearby attractions like the quaint town of Iseo, with its cozy cafes and local shops, are perfect for a relaxed stroll. 🏞️ Don't miss a visit to the Franciacorta wine region just a short drive away for some wine tasting. 🍷 If you’re into hiking, the trails around the lake offer stunning panoramas that you won't forget. Lake Iseo might not be as famous as other Italian lakes, but its serene beauty and authentic charm make it a must-visit. #trip #LakeIseo #ItalyTravel #HiddenGem #MonteIsola #SereneEscape
