🏨 The Sebel Launceston
👍 Located in the heart of Launceston, it offers excellent accessibility, modern and sophisticated rooms. It is suitable for both tourism and business trips.
✔️ The Sebel Launceston hotel provided the best accommodation experience in Launceston. The hotel's location in the city center made it easy to access major tourist attractions, restaurants, and shops. The rooms were spacious and decorated with a stylish interior, and I was very satisfied with the comfortable beds and the latest facilities. The breakfast offered a variety of menus prepared with fresh ingredients, perfect for starting the day. Cataract Cruise Launceston, Tasmania
#celebratewithtrip
Found this cruise when we walked around in Launceston.
After departing from the terminal, you will cruise past the historical Kings Wharf, Seaport, and Launceston's delightful riverfront precinct. The highlight of the experience is then cruising into Launceston's spectacular Cataract Gorge, as you engage the Lady Launceton's unique silent electric drive function.
You can view the sheer cliffs from your comfortable seating, appreciate the unobstructed views on the multi-award winning 1890's style vessel. Whilst aboard the Lady Launceston, you can also enjoy the skipper's captivating commentary which surrounds the history and folklore of this fascinating area.
The fare was acceptable, $33 per person. Another experience in Launceston!

Beautiful Nature Reserve in Launceston
We had half a day to fill in Launceston before our flight home and stumbled upon this peaceful and scenic nature reserve by chance.
Tucked away behind a residential area you wouldn't think of finding such an open area like this but it is well worth the trip if you are in Launceston. There are a couple of easy walking tracks and a couple for more ambitious walkers as well as a fun gondola and cafe for those who like to take it easy. We started our visit in the cafe and ended there as well because the food was so delicious.

Cataract Gorge follow by drive to Bicheno.
Wonderful Time at Cataract Gorge, Launceston. The chairlift travels at an appropriate pace, allowing you to take in the scenery below and around you. Then off to Campbell Town for pit stop cum lunch. Continue our journey to Bicheno where we will stay over for a night. As it is winter now, sun sets around 4.4xpm. Took pics of sunset, crescent appearing in the sky and after sun has set. Rested a while and we went for lobster at Lobster Shack Tasmania. The lobster meat is firm, chunky and fresh. Size is big too. Also had chilled prawns and seafood platter. All are nice. #wintergetaway #tasmania #cataractgorge #seafood #bicheno

On the way back to Launceston, passing through Sheffield Town, SHEFFIELD, the first ordinary town established by the early colonists in the interior of Tasmania, inspired by the Canadian town of Chemainus, the local government It also mobilized the masses to create murals to promote the development of the local tourism industry, thus re-giving the town a new look.
Now Sheffield Town is famous for its mural town, which attracts more than 200,000 tourists every year. Hong Kong singer Eason Chan has also left his own murals. The famous mainland actor Li Chen has painted here, but maybe I should have painted all the bad things. I have found it several times and I have found it. The
mural town hosts an international mural competition every year, starting from the annual Easter Sunday, a week in which artists create their most proud paintings for jury selection, activities in the town. The mural park is held and all murals will be exhibited and will be retained for the second year of the competition.
This mural symbolizing the friendship between the Chinese and Australian people makes me really difficult to understand. The rice flag is five stars, the panda is on the koala, the lavender is on the chrysanthemum, but the kangaroo is on the mouse. What do you mean?

Located on Mount Arthur in northern Tasmania, Bridestowe Lavender Farm is the largest private lavender estate in the Southern Hemisphere. The lavender here is broadcasted in the mountains, with the terrain rising and falling, the S-shaped curve is very beautiful.
1921, the English immigrants came to Lilydale, Tasmania, where lavender seeds were planted and reproduced. The climate of the island of Provence is very similar, so the lavender plantation here is quite successful.
Due to the seasonal opposite of the northern and southern hemispheres, the mature harvest period of Tasmanian lavender is January of each year, so the best viewing season here is the twelve flowers that have not yet been harvested. month. Christmas is the best time to New Year's Day!
The day we arrived was December 20th, the blue sky and white clouds, the weather was just right. Lavender is ripening and blooming, and the garden is full of fragrant fragrance, the same feeling as Valensoller who visited Provence at the end of June!
Come to Lavender Manor, don't you miss the lavender ice cream produced here? The ice cream cart is near the farm's service center, with 5 single balls and 9 double balls. Tourist service centers also sell lavender products.
After the tour, eat a light meal on the farm, the restaurant has an outdoor seating, you can breathe the lavender aroma. Tall old oak trees, undulating lavender fields, and Arthur Hill in the distance, a ticket for 10 knives per person can be seen in such a beautiful scenery, and it is worth the price.

If you want to experience the Swiss style in Australia, the town of Grindelwald in the north of Launceston, Tasmania is a great location. The town of Grindelwald, built entirely in the Swiss town, is located in the scenic Tamar Valley, in Launceston. On the way to Cradle Mountain, if you have plenty of time, its a good choice to spend a leisurely afternoon here.
The origin of this Swiss town on a distant Oceania is a touching love story. It is said that a Swiss couple came to live in Tasmania, but because the wife has been unable to adapt to the living environment here, she was depressed all the time. The husband built several Swiss-style houses for his wifes thoughts. Later, neighboring neighbors followed suit and slowly formed the current Swiss-style small village.

35 Days in Australia: Tasmania (1).
On November 7, 2024, the four of us set off from Melbourne and took QF1513 to Launceston, the second largest city in Tasmania.
Day 1: Arrival
Tasmania is known as the "end of the world" and the "heart of the world." It is located at the southernmost tip of Australia and is shaped like a heart. From the air, it looks like a heart-shaped island. Tasmania is famous for its stunning natural scenery and unique ecological environment, making it a paradise for travel and ecology enthusiasts.
Some people have put Tasmania on their bucket list, and it is also a place I have wanted to visit for many years. This time, I finally made it. After getting off the plane, we rented a Subaru Forester at the airport and planned to spend five days driving from Launceston to Hobart, taking in the main attractions along the way.
After checking in, we strolled through the old streets of Launceston, where there are many old buildings with typical British town charm. But the streets were relatively quiet, with not many people around.
We also visited the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. Launceston, Tasmania
