The most pleasant surprise of this trip to West Island was Xixidao Guesthouse. It completely met my vacation expectations, and the experience was absolutely fantastic! The guesthouse's Southeast Asian ambiance is absolutely stunning. As soon as I entered, I was soothed by the lush greenery everywhere. Coconut trees and banana leaves surround the turquoise pool, rattan furniture is paired with straw pendant lights, and there's an outdoor bathtub and sunken sofa nestled among plants. Instantly, I felt a sense of relaxation as if I were in Bali, with the Nanyang charm overwhelming me and the vacation ritualistic feeling completely fulfilled. The service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. After arriving on the island, the butler personally picked us up and dropped us off at the pier, and also prepared a detailed travel guide in advance. Everything from sunrise viewing spots to beachcombing routes was clearly laid out. Free electric scooters were provided for convenient island travel, and beachcombing tools were also fully prepared. Upon check-in, there were not only welcome desserts and freshly squeezed juice, but also quick responses to needs like luggage handling and itinerary inquiries. The entire process was thoughtful and worry-free, truly a butler-style service experience. Every detail showed great care. The room was pre-scented with lemongrass essential oil to repel mosquitoes, and even as someone prone to mosquito bites, I didn't encounter any mosquito problems throughout my stay.
