Driving around tropical Hainan 🌴🥥🐒🏄‍♀️

While driving across Hainan Island in a camper-van we had a few days in Lingshui. Some highlights: 🌴🥥 Coconut Island To find the small beach that were the starting point of the SUP adventure we drove through some remote and narrow roads. We made camp by the beach and had lunch here as well. At a small house by the beach we rented a guide with a drone to take us by SUP to coconut island. We paid 500rmb for two people. We experienced some tropical rain just by the time we arrived and had to wait it out a bit under the coconut trees. We took some pictures and then headed back to the beach. Beautiful adventure 🏝️🥥🏄‍♀️ ☕️ 🍽️ Iris Cafe We found this very nice and cute cafe to have a rest in the afternoon with good coffee and western food. 🐒🚡Nanwan Monkey Island We made a trip with the cable to see the monkeys in Nanwan. It was nice to walk around for a little bit. A quiet but stunning beach resort!

Location: Lingshui, Sanya in Hainan island. This hotel is called Xiangshui Bay Marriott hotel. It is a peaceful but very cosy hotel. There is a private beach, several swimming pools and nice sun loungers to enjoy the waves. This area is just over an hour from the Sanya airport but you can definitely spend a few days just at the hotel. We visited in December when it was a little chilly but still amazing . I recommend visiting in spring or summer so you can enjoy the swimming. #lingshui #beach #sanya

📍Getting There - take DiDi (English) to Arcadia Hotel 📍Hotels- - Arcadia Hotel or RoEasy Hospitality Hotel 📍Attractions - Beach 🏖 📍Food & Restaurants - there are street food options next to the RoEasy Hospitality hotel (at around 10 minutes by walk from the beach), dinner offers from the hotels or “RiseSun” restaurant. It’s a remote place, quite far from other tourist attractions (40 minutes by taxi from Houhai Village). Very peaceful area with clear beach and beautiful sea. There aren’t any cafes or bars on the beach. If you want to enjoy the nature and have a rest from other hectic tourist places full of people you must come here. Prices for hotels and food are cheaper than in central parts of Sanya.

If you want to see monkeys, look no further! A ticket to the island will set you back ¥147 which include ferry/cable car to and from the island, i suggest taking a cable car since the fairy is less than a 5 min drive. All other activities on the island are included in the price As soon as you arrive on the island you will find monkeys everywhere. Just make sure not to carry anything in your hands because the monkeys are prone to grab and they do get aggressive. Lingshui (陵水）is a hidden gem near Sanya for ppl who admire the blue sea and the waves. Pros: no ppl, beautiful and tranquil beach, clear water, good surfing spot for beginners, dazzling nightlife and good seafood nearby in Haitang bay (20-30 min ride) close to Houhai, just a 20 min ride.
