Strolling Along the River in North Wales
The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, located in North Wales, is one of the iconic structures from the British Industrial Revolution. "Pontcysyllte" means "connecting bridge" in Welsh. This aqueduct spans the River Dee and connects the Llangollen Canal. Its magnificent structure was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. 👏🏻👏🏻
We took a leisurely walk along the riverside, encountering many buildings and signs that showcase Welsh characteristics. Although Wales and England are geographically close, their languages can be quite different! The entire town has a very relaxing vibe, making it absolutely worth spending a day here.
You can park your car at the Pontcysyllte Chapel Tea Room, which preserves the historical scenes of the Christian revival. From there, you can start your canal journey!

Classic charm in the heart of Bath: The Royal Hotel Bath
#JulyTravelSupport
The Royal Hotel Bath, located opposite the railway station, is a striking example of romantic Georgian architecture. Designed in 1846 by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the Grade II-listed building now operates as a traditional British hotel with 170 years of history.
This small hotel boasts a friendly and warm atmosphere, and its on-site restaurant offers a classic dining experience.
Located directly opposite Bath Spa Station, it's a five-minute walk from major attractions such as the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey.

A canal network floating in the sky!
This awesome aqueduct & canal site, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, is one of only four world heritage sites in Wales and it’s cheap and accessible for all members of the family!
Located in the Trevor Basin, this feat of engineering is just a 10 minute drive from the beautiful village of Llangollen and is about an hour away from the cities of Liverpool and Manchester.
Built by Thomas Telford in 1805, this bridge forms the highest canal aqueduct in the world, standing at a dizzy height of 38 metres tall.
For the brave, you can walk along the towpath and admire the views in this area of natural beauty. You can also hire a kayak or a barge and enjoy this unique waterway.
The best thing about this area? All of it is free to enjoy!

The Beautiful Llangollen
A very small little town but an absolutely beautiful place to visit.
💞Reasons to Recommend: There is adequate parking in the main car park which is signposted.
So very peaceful and picturesque. Take a stroll down the canal at your own pace.
There is a restaurant overlooking the view from the pictures above. If you take a stroll along the path on the left you will come to a well equipped playground for children with also public toilets.
On the right of the bridge is a steam train station and for children who are a massive Thomas The Tank Engine you might be lucky enough to see him.

Authentic North Wales
To get a true taste of North Wales such as its delightful small towns, superb industrial architecture and rolling countryside all in one place might sound like a a challenge but the town of Llangollen has it all in abundance.
A stop here is well worth it if your passing through just to take a walk along its high street for shopping or dinning or along its canal to gain views of the surrounding countryside.
Just outside the centre lies the famous aqueduct which you can even take a kayak across during the summer months. #celebrateit #wales #countryside
