We also strolled around the city for chill content and local life moments. Transport: Bus (33 SEK each way) Day 4 Frozen sea adventures! Walking on Luleå’s frozen waters was seriously otherworldly. Taxi: Had a local legend help me out and kept his WhatsApp—makes rides a breeze anytime! 📸 Must-Snap Spots: - Luleå Central Station - Gammelstad Church Town - Brändön Lodge - Northern Lights (if you’re lucky!) 🍕 Eats & Treats: Options are a bit limited, but what’s here is sooo good! Tried pizza, sausage bread, and Swedish cheese—yum. Pro Tip: Made my own hot pot using fresh finds from Coop since I was staying in Airbnb. Sidewalks and small paths are dotted with cozy cafes and shops selling Nordic-designed goods and local sweets, making it enjoyable just to browse. The quiet streets allow you to take your time strolling, snapping photos, and exploring. Tips for exploring the town: • The town is small enough to explore entirely on foot. • There are historical spots like old churches and squares scattered throughout. Notably, Gammelstad Church Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the combination of red houses and wooden churches is a must-see.

#TravelWithPochikatsu Experience Nordic winter! Walking on the frozen sea in Luleå, Sweden!! ️ Luleå is a port town in the Lapland region of northern Sweden. Here, part of the Baltic Sea freezes over completely in winter, offering the unique experience of walking on the water. Visiting here, I felt the power and beauty of nature with my whole body. Special Activities Luleå's winter sea ice can be over a meter thick, and you can see locals enjoying ice skating and cross-country skiing. There are plenty of activities available for tourists to easily participate in, and while simply walking is fun enough, those who want to try something new can rent skates. There are also ice skates available, making it easy to cross to the other side! A view you can only see in winter!

Luleå is a northern Swedish city that can be reached in about an hour by plane from Stockholm! Further north in Sweden, there is a famous town called Kiruna where you can see the Northern Lights. But you can also see the Northern Lights in Luleå if the weather is good, and there are plenty of places to shop and have lunch! There are chain stores such as McDonald's and Espresso Coffee, as well as movie theaters, so you can enjoy the daytime too! ︎ Personally, I laughed at how many sushi restaurants there were! There are many "SUSHI bars" in Sweden, but I feel like there were especially many in Luleå lol And one thing I would like you to experience in Luleå is riding on the frozen sea! ︎ There are many lakes you can ride on in both Japan and Sweden, but I heard that it is rare for the sea to freeze! The huge ice rink will get you excited! There is also a World Heritage city on the outskirts, so be sure to check it out~♪
