This is Alura, a cafe at the Citraland housing complex in West Surabaya. This is one of many cafes in Citraland, as there are many other cafes with nice interior/architecture here. This one in particular feels comfy and homey, uses a lot of natural lighting, wood and textured cement. The ambience was relaxed, quiet and calm. They have a lot of space for what seemed to be a tiny space. There was a second floor, all indoor and outdoor available. We ordered drinks, the coffee was pretty nice and they used arabica. I tried the fusion tea, which was also nice. Too bad we didn't try the food, but maybe next time! If you're looking for a place to hang out or do your work on laptops, this is a very nice place!

This is Pawvilion Dog cafe, at Citraland Surabaya. They usually have a minimum order for each person, at 35k on weekdays and 50k on weekends. But this September they offer no minimum order every Wednesday. It was surprisingly empty when we went there at around 7PM, just us, the staff and the dogs, despite the "no minimum order" promo. The dogs were already watching for us by the window before we went in, and they greeted us when we did. All of them were so cute and liked to be around us! Some of them even laid underneath our chair. There were various breeds of dogs, from Malamute, Samoyed, Herder, Poodle, Beagle, Dalmatian, and some others. And the staff looked genuinely care about them, played with them and handled them well. The food tasted just okay, the matcha latte, too (but huge Matcha Latte portion). And we also bought dogfood to give the dogs, for 8K. Overall it was worth a visit, my son really liked playing with the dogs!

If you want to cool off in Surabaya then consider a trip to the Ciputra Waterpark which is a great spot to have fun, especially if you are travelling with children. The park is part of the wider CitraLand entertainment complex and you can enjoy attractions like wave pools, slides, and smaller play areas for children. The park is open until 8 pm every day and gets very busy around the weekends so make sure to plan accordingly. The waterpark has everything for the whole family to enjoy. Children Pool, complete with slides and water feature, Current Pool, Playing Pool with various slides, Wave Pool, as well as two giant slides. There are various food stalls in the park selling food, snacks and drinks. A great place to be with the family. #urbanexplorer
