The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast provided by the hotel with a range of local and western food. Shopping malls and food stalls are around the vicinity. location: Bunaken Island, Manado, Sulawesi we snorkelled at one of the world's famous marine park with over 3000 species and 300 corals waiting to be seen and explored. we did not plan on snorkeling actually because our initial plan was just to go to the beach and swim but since it was low tide when we arrived, we just went for snorkeling! Even if we're not ready, diving stalls at Bunaken island are geared with wet suits, paddles, dive fins and snorkels which you can rent at reasonable prices. The rent also comes with underwater pictures of you and Nemo!(if you're luck to find him!) How do you get to Bunaken island? The island of Bunaken is easily reached from Manado by motorized.Because we were a huge group, we rented out the entire boat. Ferries from Manado to Bunaken leave daily around 02:00 PM.

The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms (there was even a tv by the shower), and high quality service. Also, they are one of few hotels that allow people under 21 to book a reservation. Overall, I had a great experience with the Novotel Manado; staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate a birthday weekend. Unlike some of the posts I’ve read in other places, I found the Grand Luley Manado to be clean, inviting and downright classic! The staff was very friendly and consistently making sure I was comfortable. I will definitely stay there when I come back! The hotel was wonderful. It was even better than expected. The hotel wasn't great, but there was a huge mall right in front, which was convenient. I didn't feel any inconvenience in Bali, but in Manado, there were no restaurants that served beer, which was a problem. The diving in Bunaken wasn't that great, but Lembeh was great for someone like me who loves macro biology. 🎵 What I always think is that it's a hassle to go back, and when I get back, it feels like I never went there.

Hey everyone 👋! You'll never guess where I went for my first Indonesian adventure—Manado (Minahasa) 🎉! The direct flight ✈️ from Kunming took just 4.4 hours to reach Sam Ratulangi International Airport, and it's only about a half-hour ride to the city center. Super convenient! Here's a glimpse into my amazing Manado itinerary 👇 🚤 White Sand Island This island has the most interesting shape, like a green fish 🐟 floating on the azure sea. It's incredibly peaceful. The snorkeling experience nearby is absolutely amazing! I easily spotted Nemo and starfish in the water, feeling like I was in an underwater fairy tale. Truly magical 😆. 🐬 Siladen Dolphin Watching Dolphin watching in Siladen is a must-do in Manado! You're almost guaranteed to see dolphins; it just depends on how long you're willing to search. You might see one or two, but with a bit of luck, you'll witness a whole pod leaping joyfully through the ocean. It's a breathtaking sight 🤩. 🌊 Bunaken National Marine Park This place is fantastic for both diving and snorkeling. While snorkeling, you'll be surrounded by all sorts of colorful fish 🐠🐟 and diverse coral formations. It feels like swimming in a giant aquarium. If you go diving, you might even encounter adorable sea turtles and dance with the fish, experiencing the mystery and charm of the ocean 🥰. 🗽 Christ Blessing Statue The forward-leaning posture of this statue seems to symbolize a beautiful paradise, as if warmly welcoming visitors from afar. Locals say that Jesus Christ protects the people of Manado, ensuring their safety and well-being. It truly adds a sacred touch to the city 🙏.

Manado is Manado There are three ways to get to Manado: 1. Tour Group 2. Air ticket + hotel package (there are not many B&Bs, so it is not cost-effective to buy air tickets alone) 3. Charter flight (for the rich) The infrastructure in Indonesia is relatively backward, and there are not many entertainment facilities. The airport in Manado is also relatively small (a bit like the Langkawi Airport in Malaysia). The airport is small and there are no duty-free shops or anything. There is a parking lot (a bit shabby) as soon as you exit the airport. Generally speaking, a week is plenty of time to stay on the island. ✨If you don’t have money to exchange for Indonesian rupiah, don’t worry, you have two options: 1⃣️The tour guide will definitely have it with him, you can exchange it with them (the exchange rate will probably be a bit higher) 2⃣️There is a glass room on the left side opposite the airport gate with an ATM machine. UnionPay cards can be exchanged for Indonesian rupiah🇮🇩 ✨Manado essential items: 1⃣️Sunscreen🧴 (30 degrees Celsius is enough for daily use. If you are diving, you basically don’t need to apply sunscreen. Sunscreen will cause a large number of corals to die.) 2⃣️Sun protection clothing (I bought a sun protection jacket from Uniqlo, which has a high SPF and is not stuffy to wear) 3⃣️Umbrella🌂 (Mainly used for daily outings, but not much needed when going out to sea) 4⃣️Phone card☎️➕Adapter🔌 (There are packages on Taobao) 5⃣️Swimsuit👙 (I prepared two sets, diving suit + photo swimsuit) Most flights to Manado are night flights, and you will basically spend the first night staying in a nearby resort hotel. The first hotel we chose was a resort near the sea, which was convenient for going out to sea the next day. In order to make the trip less crowded, we will wander around the city on the first day, choose the itinerary for tomorrow's sea voyage and contact the captain. There are not many attractions around the city!
