Midtown New York / Sunday Lunch
Finally had time to have a proper meal this weekend… to celebrate Dad's birthday 🎂…
Borgo has a great ambiance… and the service was excellent…
The pasta was a bit salty… but everything else was pretty good…
The aroma of wood-fired cooking in winter was so appealing… it instantly created a festive atmosphere…
Many of the dishes I wanted were only available at dinner… I'll definitely come again next time 😬

Public Hotel, a hotel with a wintery atmosphere in New York
If you also enjoy snuggling under a soft blanket on a cold winter night, then Public Hotel is the perfect choice among New York's boutique hotels. Modern, stylish, and sophisticated are the hallmarks Ian Schrager has given Public. A corridor where cement gray and greenery intertwine leads you into the hotel. Your eyes are greeted by a modern retro-style orange neon escalator. The reception area features black velvet sofas and sculptural porcelain. Upstairs, the all-wood bar and common areas offer views of the green and yellow leaves from the pure white cloud-shaped sofa seating area. Inside the rooms, you'll find the signature fully-covered ambient lighting king-size bed. If you prefer nightlife, you don't even need to go out; you can go directly to the rooftop bar, order a signature cocktail, listen to music, and gaze at the Empire State Building. Alternatively, there's a trendy club next door for those to consider. In winter, the terrace also features cute transparent bubble booths perfect for gatherings with friends. A change of pace awaits you in the Manhattan jungle.

Captured the golden hour sunset in Kunming Manhattan
Caught the best weather of the winter,
just had the chance to stand on the rooftop of the most central hotel in Kunming,
and coincidentally caught the golden ten minutes of sunset,
looking far into the distance, truly can't get enough.
Shuttling through the bustling traffic,
having lived in this city for nearly twenty years,
there are quite a few complaints.
But standing here, I suddenly realize it’s still beautiful.
Sat here for an hour, from dusk to neon lights flickering,
inner thoughts: I have indeed been a bit too harsh on this city.
As the title says, it does have a bit of a Manhattan vibe.
It will only get better and better.

Why did I decide to become a "guide" in New York?
Hi everyone, I’m a New Yorker who has lived here for over a decade, now focusing on business and private city tours.
Many people ask me why I chose this line of work.
Honestly, the reason is simple—
I know the rhythm of this city so well, and I really want to make every minute you spend in New York a little easier.
⸻
✨ When I first came to New York, I was just like you…
Confused by subway transfers,
Stuck in traffic to the point of questioning life,
Walking an hour in Manhattan with new shoes,
Only to find out there’s a line at the restaurant…
At that time, I thought:
If there was someone who knew this place well, who could guide me, tell me how to plan, how to avoid pitfalls—
How much time and effort that would save.
Now, I’ve become that “guide” ✨
🍽️ I’ll recommend routes from a “local’s perspective”
Not just attractions, but also:
· Brunch spots without long lines
· Local favorite pubs
· Delicious pizza hidden on street corners
· Photo spots only New Yorkers know
You don’t need to do the research, I’ll prepare it for you.
⸻
🚗 I’m not just a “driver,” I’m your partner in New York
The pace here is fast, but I want you to slow down the moment you get in the car.
· Arrive early
· Flexibly adjust to your pace
· Handle luggage, routes, and weather changes
· Keep the car clean and quiet
· You just need to relax, enjoy the scenery, and savor the city
Every day I meet different guests and accompany them through various New York itineraries,
Seeing them go from nervous to relaxed, from rushed to smiling—
That’s something that makes me very happy.

The photographer took me to the rooftop, instantly transporting me to Manhattan
This place is off the beaten path but perfect for photos. My favorite spot is this rooftop observation deck, uniquely known as the "Manhattan Peninsula" of the mountain city✨
✅ Shooting location: Rooftop of Chongqing Haitangxi Marriott Hotel.
✅ Photo tips: Take the elevator in the Marriott lobby to the 28th floor, then transfer to the 50th floor (card access required here! There are people selling tickets at the entrance for 49 yuan per person, but if you find a staff member, even better. From my experience, usually wait about 5 minutes for a hotel guest to go up, then you can follow them upstairs for free.)
✅ Best time to shoot: Recommended at sunset and blue hour, around 6 PM is ideal. Capture dusk🌇—blue hour—night view🌃. One place, multiple shooting styles, really worth it!
📷 Photography tips:
You can take photos with the Twin Towers and Raffles City from the railing.
Use a telephoto lens to zoom in.
You can stand on the stone platform on the terrace.
At night, adding some fill light enhances the atmosphere.
👗/🧥 Outfit suggestions: Since the rooftop showcases many sky city elements, a simple urban style works well. Wearing fitted clothes can also highlight your figure!
💞 By the way, yes, I am the photographer, and I can shoot many more places in Chongqing!

New York Lego Store
#MarchTravelSupportEvent
A Lego store on the streets of Manhattan, New York.
It is a Lego specialty store that sells regular Legos, but it was a place worth seeing because the store was decorated with New York symbols such as Times Square and the Statue of Liberty Legos. There were a variety of products, and there were also American brand Disney products, so it was good for buying souvenirs or gifts.

My first visit to New York. Walking down the streets of Manhattan, I felt like I was in a movie.
A travel destination where it was fun to walk between the colorful and complex high-rise buildings at any time of the day or night. The car horns are noisy and it's a complicated city with lots of people, but it has its charm.

Let's take advantage of the lunch promotion in New York, where prices are high! You can taste fresh raw oysters, and unlike Korea, it is a delicacy to eat it with chili sauce.
It goes well with white wine.

IPA beer tasted in New York, the pleasure of deep and rich taste
#December Travel Support Event The IPA beer I had in New York was really delicious. The rich and deep hop flavor filled my mouth, and the slightly bitter taste and savory taste were well-balanced. The IPAs provided by various breweries have different tastes, so it was fun to try them one by one. I was able to fully enjoy the deep taste of the beer, and I fell even deeper into New York's beer culture.

Skyscrapers built on running railway lines
Completed in the West District of Manhattan, New York, marking a new milestone in the transformation of the Far West District. This new chapter brings new destinations for citizens and connects the Midtown business district of Manhattan, Pennsylvania Station, and Hudson Square.
Manhattan West No. 1 and No. 2 buildings, two adjacent towers, developed by Brookfield Property Company. They stand on busy railways, occupying 7 million square feet, but the land for construction is very limited. Whether viewed from the skyline or the ground, these two towers are the gateways to the new district.
These two buildings adopt high-performance enclosure structures and curved corners, simple and soft, adding dynamic beauty to the city skyline. Manhattan West No. 1 bends eastward, welcoming pedestrians from Pennsylvania Station and Moynihan Train Hall; while No. 2 faces north to Midtown, welcoming vehicles from Uptown. On the ground floor, they blend into public spaces, creating a sense of transparency.
The biggest challenge behind the rigorous design of the air and ground is underground. Both towers are located on challenging sites of running railway lines. To cope with the challenge, designers and engineers are perfectly combined, and the core column sinks around the train. Each tower has a different structural strategy, but they all pursue balance and efficiency.
Columns from the 2nd to 6th floors of the Manhattan West No. 1 tower are hidden in the concrete core, fixed on the ground. This not only creates a balanced structure but also forms a column-free hall, adding visual appeal. The all-glass facade of the lobby makes the tower seem to gradually dissolve to the ground, connecting public and private spaces, with a beautiful view. The limestone texture of the structural core, as if carved from a single block of stone, highlights the beauty of power.
