Maputo Mozambique trip
This was totally an eye opener for sure but I was taken back because I had some idea of how this country would be in the sense of poverty and the country. As I spent two weeks there I was very and honestly happily surprised at how beautiful the place is in the sense of the locals being friendly and feeling safe I also managed to book a tour to Kruger national park which in itself was a fantastic adventure which Trip.com dealt with with ease

#getgoing2025 Stayed for 3 nights in a junior suite with balcony and sea view on the 7 floor. The hotel atmosphere was business oriented. The view of course was amazing and the balcony had two chairs so that you can spend some time admiring the view. Everything was clean and having a tub and a shower separately was excellent. Water pressure and temperature was good and wifi signal never failed. Service was good and shuttle from the airport was waiting for me upon arrival.
One thing that I noticed is that the lighting in the room was very dim, there were no USBs to charge electronics, and there were two types of outlets and some electronics like the iron only worked with the one in the resting area so you had to drag the whole ironing board from the bathroom area everytime the iron was needed. The room service options were very limited for instance, there was no soup or a traditional dish, but I was told that you could find the whole hotel offer in the restaurant which was in the next tower and I never went to.
The food that I ordered from room service was good, although pricey ($16 for a salad, $20 for a hamburger). Overall it was a nice stay and you can walk easily to the Joaquin Chisano convention center.
Maputo: the vibrant African city
It’s no wonder that Maputo has such a rich history. With so many millions of inhabitants, it forms a powerhouse of Mozambique. The sea which surrounds it, offers some beautiful views and seashells. The people are generally warm but curious, and so it’s important to make sure you have your security and safety planned. Enjoy the local food and games which are often upcycled.
