Send this to someone you want to experience fall in Oregon with 💛🍁 If you love adding new places to your bucket list
Fall in Oregon is MAGICAL! Changing leaves with waterfall views, alpine mountain landscapes turning orange and red, and tons of farms & orchards to get fall goodies. It does not get better than that!
Here are the best leaf‑peeping spots in the state:
OCTOBER: 🍁 Silver Falls State Park 🍁 Mount Hood (McNeil Point especially)
EARLY TO MID NOVEMBER: 🍁 Columbia River Gorge 🍁 Hoyt Arboretum in Portland 🍁 Portland Japanese Garden
Don’t miss visiting Oregon’s very own Salem! Also check out the Hood River Fruit Loop for lots of fall u‑pick and fall events.
*Each year can vary based on weather and conditions so research places before you go! We love looking at photos of the area on AllTrails to get an idea of what current conditions are like.

Beautiful trail to catch fall foliage 🍁
We took the trail of Ten Falls to see the fall foliage and the view is definitely not disappointing.
Info about this state park-Silver Falls State Park is the crown jewel of the Oregon State Parks system, being both Oregon's largest State Park (9,000 acres) and boasting one of America's most impressive waterfall day-hikes. There are no less than ten falls on this 7.8 mile loop.
This is one of the most beautiful hikes I’ve been on, made even better by the fall colors that are in full gusto! We started from the south falls trail head and I recommend that - especially if you’re hiking with family and might want to end early.

Did you know there is a hike in Oregon that takes you to TEN WATERFALLS in less than 8 miles??🤯🤫
& you get to walk UNDER 4 of them 🤌 ➡️ Send this to someone you want to do this with!
📍The Trail of Ten Falls at Silver Falls State Park, Oregon USA This 7.7 mile hike the best bang for your buck hike in terms of seeing the most amount of waterfalls in a short amount of time. It is around an hour from Portland so it is super easy to get to for most visitors!
To get the most out of this hike… here are a few tips🤌 🔄 Do this hike clockwise! Since it is a loop, this is the recommended way to do the hike. We recommend parking at the South Falls lot and starting the hike from there.
💲 Don’t forget your credit card! This is a state park so 5 dollars is needed to park at some parking lots. There are machines to make payment easy.
💧 You get to walk behind FOUR waterfalls so expect to get a little wet. During the colder months we recommend bringing a rain jacket to stay dry.
⏱️ Go to the park website prior to your hike to grab the trail map or download an app like alltrails to make sure you stop and see all 10 falls. There are one or two that require a side trail to see.
🐕 Dogs cannot hike the Trail of Ten Falls. If you want to bring your pups to the park we recommend hiking the Rim Trail.
☀️ This is a popular hike so get up early to beat the crowds!
SAVE this video so you can do this hike one day!

USA Oregon Silver Falls Trail of Ten Falls Mossy Loop
#slowtraveling Silver Falls State Park, 30 min from Salem on OR-214. Entry $5 day-use (honor box cash or online pass tied to plate). The Trail of Ten Falls is a 7.2-mile loop, free to hike, open dawn–dusk. I started at the South Falls parking (9:00 am, Tuesday in May), did the loop counterclockwise—South Falls (177 ft) first, then Lower South, then the canyon section where moss coats the basalt and ten falls thread the woods.
Mistake: I carried only 1 L water—the loop has one fountain at the North Falls junction, dry by noon. 2 L minimum. Wore trail runners; the mossy sections near Winter Falls and Double Falls are boardwalk but spray-wet, fine with grip.
A ranger at the trailhead stamped my park map and said “folks rush to South Falls, miss the upper canyon where the moss holds the light.” Kindness beat.
No permit, leashed dogs ok. Best moss: April–June after rain.
Should a state park charge $5 to walk a loop that was free for 10,000 years?

USA Oregon Silver Falls Mossy Trail of Ten Falls Loopeasytravelpost #SilverFalls #TrailOfTenFalls #
#easytravelpost Silver Falls SP is 26 mi east of Salem, 1 hr from Portland. Day-use USD 5/vehicle (or Oregon Pacific Coast Passport), no reservation needed, open dawn–dusk. The Trail of Ten Falls is a 7.2 mi loop, 800 ft gain, starting at the South Falls day-use lot. I drove from Portland at 07:30, paid USD 5 cash at the booth (card ok too), started 08:40.
The moss is the whole loop's personality: Douglas-fir and bigleaf maple with Dicranum on the cliff faces behind every curtain fall 2 cm thick, 13°C in April, a winter wren in the canyon, the spray off South Falls (177 ft) soaking the moss green-black. I walked counterclockwise — South Falls first, then Lower South, then the canyon section where the trail passes behind Middle Falls and Lower North Falls, hand on the mossy rock wall, the water arcing 20 ft overhead. Ate a USD 6 Marionberry bar from the Salem Fred Meyer, refilled at the South Falls faucet.
Mistake: I came at 11:00 on a Saturday in October — bus tours stacked the South Falls staircase, no behind-the-fall photo without strangers; 08:00 weekday or 16:00 late light. Another: the USD 5 is day-use only; the 10-site campground is separate (USD 19–30). Would you pay USD 5 for the 08:40 Silver Falls 7.2 mi mossy ten-fall loop, or skip the full loop and do the 1 mi South+Lower South paved overlook instead?

Touring the Willamette Wine Region
There are many outstanding wine regions around the world: Napa, Mendoza, Douro, Tuscany, Bordeaux... If you're looking for some lesser-known places with fewer tourists and winemakers who are easier to connect with, then plan your next wine region trip to Oregon's Willamette Valley.
In this land of the United States, there are countless ways to find your own happiness, from afternoon wine tastings to long weekend wine tours, all available. Why choose the Willamette Valley? Because the roadside inns, restaurants, and towns here are picturesque and unpretentious. Tasting wine in the Willamette Valley is like picking a pear from a tree and taking a bite—simple and pure.

Oregon Fantasy Landscape Two-Day Tour|Silver Falls Forest and Columbia Gorge Tour
Get out of downtown Portland, experience ten waterfalls in one day, and walk through canyons and rivers in one day. Oregon's natural scenery is not noisy, but every scene will quietly shock you.
Day 1: The Wizard of Oz | Silver Falls State Park
📍Silver Falls State Park
Known as the "Crown Jewel of Oregon", this is the largest and most representative waterfall country in the state. You can choose the classic Ten Falls Trail, which is about 12 kilometers long. You can visit 10 waterfalls at a time in the circular route, and some of them can be crossed from behind the waterfalls to experience the shock of the 360-degree water curtain cave!
Recommended waterfall attractions:
South Falls: the most famous and photogenic one
Double Falls: the largest drop
North Falls: you can walk into the trail behind the waterfall
Day 2: Columbia River Gorge Day | Waterfalls, dams and views
📍Multnomah Falls
Oregon's most famous landmark waterfall, 189 meters high, cascading down in two sections. Remember to walk on the Benson Bridge to experience the magnificence and mist of the waterfall from the middle section.
📍Bonneville Dam
The dam has a free visit center, where you can walk into the dam and see the surging hydraulic operation and the migratory salmon channel! The viewing platform on the island can also overlook the entire Columbia River Gorge and experience the integration of nature and human engineering.
📍Overlooking Mount Hood
If the weather is clear in the afternoon, you may want to drive to Vista House or Crown Point Observation Deck, where you can see Oregon's highest peak, Mount Hood. The snow-capped volcano is often jokingly called "the mountain that lives in a postcard."
