We decided to go on a Maldives vacation at the last minute, and the moment we saw the beach, sea, and coconut trees of Mathiveri with our own eyes, we couldn't help but exclaim how beautiful it was! As long as it didn't rain, we would go out for a stroll and occasionally run into the island owner. The beauty of Mathiveri is genuine but not luxurious, and there's no need to share it with thousands of tourists—it's a sparkling treasure island~ Although the weather on the local island was unpredictable with frequent heavy rain during these days, under the guidance of Xiao Xiao from TRAVELLOGIC HB, we had an experience at sea that far exceeded our expectations. Every time the sky cleared, Xiao Xiao immediately arranged a chartered boat trip for us (we tried all the activities in the package), spending four relaxed and fulfilling days~ Especially worth mentioning: on our first sea fishing trip, due to bad weather, we changed spots three or four times and only caught two fish haha. Xiao Xiao was worried we wouldn't be satisfied, so he arranged another trip later, and we returned fully loaded! Really happy!!! Xiao Xiao's wife was also online the whole time helping us solve problems—a super enthusiastic, friendly, and reliable couple. For anyone who finds themselves on the island and doesn't know what to do, I definitely recommend this 4-in-1 excursion: manta rays, nurse sharks, a sandbar (near Mathiveri), and a coral garden with fish. (The sharks are truly harmless, but safety precautions are key!) This is an incredible experience you'll remember for a lifetime!!! The price is $75 per person. Departure is early in the morning around 6:30 AM. Life jackets, fins, and masks are all provided. Snacks and water are included. Duration is approximately 6 hours. Drone and GoPro photography and video recording are also included. A photo on a shell costs the photographer an additional $10. The next day, they send you a link to a disc with all the photos and videos. Important!!!! This all-inclusive trip to Ganges Island and Mathieri was perfect – excursions and relaxing! We decided to come to the Maldives a week in advance, without any planning. But this trip was full of surprises. The beautiful scenery, the friendly people, and our guide, Xiao Xiao (TRAVLLOGIC HB), who arranged everything for us, made for an unforgettable experience. Choosing Xiao Xiao was a matter of fate; their service is their biggest highlight. Xiao Xiao himself is Chinese and personally guides tourists on the island, providing excellent service. Our package included a private boat (1-on-1 service), meaning just the two of us on a speedboat, each with our own dive guide! We were incredibly lucky during our excursions, seeing manta rays, turtles, dolphins, and even whale sharks!!! The whale sharks were constantly around Mathieri Island, and Xiao Xiao even added two more whale shark watching trips for us free of charge to the original itinerary!! The deep-sea fishing trip also included free Chinese-style boiled fish, which Xiao Xiao cooked perfectly – we finished it all! Our entire trip was from November 21st to 26th, a period that those who have been on the island will likely know…it rained the whole time!! Xiao Xiao was incredibly helpful; whenever it wasn't raining, he would immediately check the sea conditions and, if it was safe, take us out to sea. Although we were unlucky, encountering the rainy season during the dry season, it didn't affect our sea trip at all, and we had an amazing time!! Not only did we see everything, but we also got two extra whale shark watching trips on top of the original itinerary!!! (Of course, this was assuming there were whale sharks present). We stayed at VV, which was very new and clean. The rooms were large, with front and back yards. The room was nice, clean, and bright from the first glance. It was a 3-minute walk to the deserted sandbar beach. It was much better than the transit hotel we stayed at in Malé for over 800 RMB a night. The best part was that many other fellow countrymen were also staying at this hotel, and we made many new friends. Having started my own business early on, I know how difficult it is, and they were truly amazing! They arranged everything perfectly, and we had a wonderful time! Mathiveri Island is exceptionally beautiful, clean, and lovely! It's a place I would definitely visit again. A very beautiful island. I really clicked with Xiao Xiao; she's honest and hardworking. My favourite island (so far!) that I visited in the Maldives. The island has a really authentic feel and doesn’t seem to get so crowded with tourist to some of the other islands. The tourist beaches on the island are stunningly beautiful, there was even a sandbank that is easily accessible from the island, a great place for photos and to relax in a private spot.
