Wow, we have taken our first family holiday abroad - myself, Hubby, and my 3 children (18,16 & 10) and we would definitely recommend it. We found wherever we visited in Menorca to be family friendly and welcoming. Whilst we tried to speak Spanish, even if it was just the basics, the Spanish people were able to speak great English and were very understanding. We visited many places and attractions by car. Cala en porter and Son Bou beaches are beautiful- get there early for a rented sun lounger and umbrella. We also visited Lloc Zoo, although not a typical Zoo, it’s made up of recused animals. We went self catering and found it very easy to shop, either locally to the resort or further afield. All of the attractions, restaurants and shops were very reasonably priced. With the attractions, there was many that if you pre booked (we did ours the night before visiting) there was discounts to be had.
