Byebye blue cafe scene just got a fresh twist—this newly opened spot is turning heads with its mix of Western architecture and local vibes. If you love discovering photogenic spaces, this place is a true rainy-day gem for your next caffeine run!
Cafe Name & Address
White building with green window frames, arched doorway, and red lanterns stands out at [Jalan Mok Hee Kiang ]. The exterior’s blend of classic Western style and pops of cultural color make it a dream for close-up shots—even on cloudy days.
Signature Dishes
Sip on hainan coffee and try kaya toast, plus local tea specialties. The pastry selection changes regularly, so ask about seasonal bakes!
Vibe/Ambience
Bright, airy interiors match the inviting facade, and with red lanterns overhead, there’s a subtle nod to tradition. Great for a coffee break, study session, or casual chat, rain or shine.
Opening Hours
11.00am–10.30pm; perfect for daytime chilling.
Key Strengths
This cafe’s combo of architecture and design means you’ll walk away with both tasty treats and unique photos. Bonus: After a storm, the outdoor facade looks extra dreamy against that moody sky—an Insta-perfect moment.
Pro tips:
Visit early to snag a window seat and soak in the surroundings. The building’s colors pop best with natural light (even if drizzle is involved).

56 hotels in Udomsuk area!!
Yesterday we had the opportunity to stay at the 56 hotel with friends. The hotel is not located on the main road, but just turn into the alley and you will arrive. When you enter, it will be on the left. The hotel has a parking lot in front of the hotel. I like the lobby area very much. It is very beautiful. On the left is the staircase display area. Compared to all functions, I like to play with the lights, both the lights behind the mirror, the bedside lights, the lights at the door, the corridor lights.
And the bed is very soft and comfortable. It feels like I am really relaxing. I like it very much. Really, when you enter the hotel, it smells good on every floor. My friend stayed on the 3rd floor, I stayed on the 4th floor, and even the lobby area smells good. I like it very much. It is very relaxing. ❤️
The price for us is not expensive at all, around 1,200 baht. #thailand #central region team

I Corner Cafe
#newyearadventure
Beginning of 2023, I travel to Mentakab, West Pahang. It’s a centre part of Peninsula Malaysia.
I took my lunch at I-Corner Cafe, located at 66, Jln Orkid, Kampung Catin, 28400 Mentakab, Pahang
Variety food stall, selling all the local delights from all over Malaysia; from Penang Famous Food to Sarawak Noodles.
For this trip, I am tried out their Curry Laksa with cockles, which was delicious for it fresh cockles. The Teh C drink also very nice. It cost me RM10 with the drink.
My rating for this cafe is 4.3/5.0 and for additional information, this is a non-halal Chinese cafe at Mentakab town

Kedai Kek RIA 1981
Address - 4, Jalan Mok Hee Kiang, Taman Bendera, 28400 Mentakab, Pahang.
Established since 1981, Kedai Kek Ria is the oldest cake and pastry house in Mentakab. They baked variety of traditional pastries such as Tau Sar Piah (grounded mung beans), butter kaya puff and red bean wedding puff.
As Chinese New Year around the corner, they baked plenty of cookies for sale. I try their famous peanut cookies for RM28.00 per jar

BAOBEI CHICKEN RICE 🥰
Address - Restaurant Bao Bei, Jalan Zabidin, Taman Bendera, 28400 Mentakab, Pahang.
Bao Bei Restaurant is quite easy to locate, as it is just opposite the Ambank building. The shop selling both roasted and steam chicken rice only and it’s very famous among the local for it economical price, air conditioning restaurant and tasty food.
One of the reason they able to sell at economical price is because of the availability of poultry farm nearby this town.
I paid RM15.30 for 2 pax of roasted chicken, liver and drinks. It’s incredibly cheap

🍀 Authentic Malaysian breakfast ☕🥚🍞
Liang Heng Hainam Kopitam (联興海南茶店) is located at Mentakab, Pahang, led by the 3rd generation, preservinG traditional Hainanese food culture.
My friend brought me there, we had ordered thier signature coffee "Bulan"(kopi cham C) and "Kuat Harimau"(kopi+koko), Hainaese toasted bread with kaya & butter, half-boiled kampung eggs, nasi lemak ayam goreng and curry noodle. Simply love the toasted bread and nasi lemak.. Well, the signature coffee, thick & flavourful.
The ambience is good for friends meeting or family gathering, warm & cozy, kind of modern-vintage style with nostalgic music. Foods & baverages overall are awesome with reasonable price, and staffs are friendly.

Why Mentakab Needs To Be On Your Radar + My Stay at U Design Hotel Mentakab 🐓✨
Mentakab might not be the first spot that pops up on your travel wishlist, but trust me—it’s got something special that totally deserves a spot on your radar! If you’re all about vintage vibes, classic eats, and snapping quirky insta-worthy shots (hello, rooster-topped buildings in the sunshine! 🐓☀️), this is the place for you.
First things first: exploring Mentakab means you should definitely come prepared! Rock your comfiest shoes and don’t forget sunscreen—the streets are so worth wandering, especially with the sunny vibes and that vibrant outdoor cultural scene. The local food scene is on point with throwback flavors that’ll hit you right in the nostalgia. I seriously couldn’t get enough!
Stay-wise, I checked into U Design Hotel Mentakab (30, Jalan Bendera 10, Taman Bendera)—and it honestly made my trip so much smoother. The location is next-level: you’re steps from local Chinese eateries, chill bars, convenience stores, and mini markets, all in a lively (but surprisingly peaceful) part of the Chinese district. Getting around is a breeze!
Cleanliness? Impeccable. My room was spotless, the air super fresh, and you get daily cleaning service for that just-checked-in feeling every day. The room and bathroom sizes were actually pretty generous, which is a total win.
Service at this hotel slays too. The staff were seriously friend-shaped—super polite and welcoming, always ready to help out (thanks, reception team!). Heads up though: some guests mentioned a couple of minor issues, like no toothbrush provided and nowhere to hang clothes. Also, if you’re a light sleeper, you might catch some staff chitchat at the counter—but nothing a pair of earplugs can’t fix.
All in all? Mentakab is serving up unique cultural vibes, classic food, and those random cute finds (like that rooster pattern on the rooftop) that are pure photo goals. Book your stay via trip.com, don’t skip the comfy shoes, and let Mentakab surprise you!
